    Capote's last, unfinished book was not about Hollywood. It was about New York high society figures who he did not disguise well, and whose identities were quite transparent.

    Capote was a prolific writer and an American original. I read Summer Crossing a few years ago; which gave rare insight into a then 18 y.o. Capote.
    It was fortunate that his housesitter saved the manuscript from being thrown out, and it was published posthumously in 2006, 53 years after he first wrote it.

    The narrator isn’t pronouncing Truman’s last name correctly. It is pronounced “kapote” with a long e at the end.
