At home watching the games and at the games watching the game, I seen Mixon get hit so many times in the backfield. But Mixon got the blame for a terrible running game. To be honest they ran the ball better during the 2021 season
I have news for you, it's not Pollack, either, at least not primarily. There is not an offensive line in the league that can consistently hold up in front of a QB who wants to snap from shotgun and empty 85% of their plays. It's just not possible. These are NFL players against NFL players and you're asking a college concept to hold up against an NFL concept. It will not work consistently. This offense is what Burrow wants. You're right James. Mixon didn't fit the Bengals scheme. Turns out Bengals scheme = losing football. The scheme sucks and was holding him back. It's also holding back the O Line and defense. Joe Mixon needed an offensive line! So does Joe burrow. If you get a good o line you can take care of two issues with focusing on a good o line!! Instead you get rid of Joe Mixon.
Keeping Frank Pollack was mistake #1. His O-lines suck. Even when given players that performed well under other coaches, they regress considerably under Pollack's teaching. Mistake #2 is making this mental Moron the running game coordinator. The Mixon / Moss experiment proves this beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Dude!!! Were you wrong too? Yes!!!! For two years you wanted him gone too. Y’all was saying he lost a step when we see he clearly didn’t. Moss came here and got worse after having a good season in Indy. Now Mixon leave here and look like a top 3 RB. It’s definitely coaching and the line.
Acting like you were right about trading Joe Mixon is crazy. Yo Andrew Fox Miller , trade James, or allocate him to the pick em and fantasy football section. A good runningback fits anywhere
We actually would like a balanced offense, you ask why the offense looks so hard. It’s because they don’t have a complimentary run game. The way the teams wins is by switching up the offense to a more balanced attack that can kill the clock and not make burrow throw 60x a game
This is so stupid. Having Mixon on this team would 100% improve the Bengals. Plain and simple. Theres no argument about it. We got NOTHING for getting rid of him. We're constantly just ONE play short from winning almost every game. Mixon could have made that one play and maybe weve got a winning record this year. It would be different if losing Mixon gave us something. We have plenty of cap space this year. We didnt need more. It was just a move by a money poor franchise. The Brown family not having actual money like other franchises is holding the Bengals back.
I think he is spot on. Do I think Mixon will have the year he is having with the Texans no but I believe a Mixon and brown combo this year instantly make the team better over the moss brown combo. Also like he said Mixon have the ability to make that one play we maybe missed on. Hard to say what our record will be if Mixon was here but I can say having Mixon right now on the field and locker room definitely can't hurt
Sometimes you need to admit you were wrong James. Yes, the cap could have been spent better but you have to ask if Joe Mixon would have added more value than Zak Moss this year, and the answer is yes he would. Some of these short yard plays we miss might be completely different if we had a genuine weapon at RB to worry defences.
Bengals front office looking like clowns. I'm a Bengals fan living in MD, amongst Ravens and Steelers fans, and they clown us so hard. And I can't even argue. We must really have to hate ourselves to be fans of this snake-bitten team.
The issue with Joe Mixon was never Joe. It was our system and line. You build your schemes around the players you have and don’t force players into your scheme. Our RB’s aren’t performing for the same reason today.
😂😂😂 JR, your hilariously pathetic... as far as Joe Mixon is concerned: 1. We never got to fully witness the combination of Mixon and Chase Brown (especially after a full training camp of preparation) 2. One seriously overlooked talent of Joe Mixon is his 🔥 Locker Room Leadership (this has been a serious problem all season and quite possibly costed at lease two games) 3. Mixon 100% loved this franchise and never threw anyone under the bus (even during losing seasons). I'm glad that he's doing great! The F.O. and any coach or staff that co-signed his trade should hang their head in shame!
James, they took the money they had saved from Mixon and put it exactly where they wanted it: Mike Brown's bank account. The Brown family keeps score not on the field, but by their bank account. Sweet stadium deal, sold-out games, jersey sales from Chase and Burrow, TV money, etc. From their viewpoint, they win the Super Bowl every year.
if you're a joe mixon hater, then just say it.😂😂😂chase brown is good but he's not on joe mixon's level and he never was. joe mixon fit totally fine with the bengals the whole time and his leadership in the locker room is something that chase brown does not bring at all. also, joe mixon took a paycut to stay with the bengals 2 offseasons ago and he wanted to win a superbowl with cincy so him willing to take a reduced role at running back for chase brown most likely wouldn't be a problem. lastly, we're not going to forget when you said zach moss is "more explosive" than joe mixon.😂😂😂wouldn't be surprising if you single-handedly forced the front office to make joe mixon leave cincy lol.
His leadership was great and he was good the offensive line and scheme was the problem he had 1000 rushing seasons when the offensive line was worst than what it is now I’m glad he’s somewhere that value him the bengals are full of crap
The Bengals went cheap at running back and safety and their defensive draft picks aren’t playing well enough to stop anyone. The offensive line is getting Joe Burrow beat to death. Yes they got it wrong letting Mixon and Boyd walk.
Bengals got 1 rite, 2 wrong. 1) trade was ok = rite 2) only getting 7th round pick = wrong 3) wrong was also using the 7th pick on someone they let ride the bench Said it all my life Duke Tobin can not gauge talent at all
I have been waiting for this… The bengals absolutely need Mixon, three points. Can’t run on short distances/ no toughness or physicality. Need to protect Burrow more, by being more balanced offensively/ just got his wrist repaired and throwing the ball 50+ times a game is dumb 💯 Third is that Mixon is a dawg/ leader and the offense won games with backup Quarterback last year with Mixon holding and heavy work load 💯😑( plus he should’ve had been the Super Bowl MVP) but terrible coaching 🤔
James, you clearly are just a puppet for the organization. Mixon was a top 5 HB & we traded him for absolutely nothing. ZT scheme is trash & that's why his numbers were lower. Anybody that actually knows how to analyze the game is not shocked at Joe Mixon's production right now.
And you’re right dude. I’m done with the whole don’t pay bates so we can pay Higgins, cut mixon to save cap, bullshit. They don’t use the money they save to improve the team. If they let Higgins walk I don’t have confidence they’ll use that money on defense.
Bengals didn't save much of real money or fake cap money when they traded Mixon... but it was enough real money to probably sign Calais Campbell who signed with Miami for $3M (Florida has less taxes tho so might've cost Bengals more)
@@lorenzosorice Problem is that no one is consistently running great in this offensive scheme... imagine what Chase Brown or Moss could do with good run blocking and better angles in a better offensive run scheme Is Burrow chosing to throw 50 times a game instead of attempting to make the run scheme better. I was thinking Joe was on the downhill side, but I was wrong. He wasn't used to his strengths, between the tackles. All he did in Cincy was try to get outside. Maybe it was bad play calling, maybe a crappy line. Likely both. I wish we could have him back.
James Rapien - So tired of your schtick. I hope you find another job in another market. Glad to see Joe Mixon is putting up some good numbers - I'm anxious to see the stats on number of arrests over the next couple of years; he was a liability to the Bengals. When it comes to integrity I'm glad he's gone
Yup. Never should have done it. This guy was always productive, rarely hurt for a RB, and NEVER fumbled the BALL!!!!!!!!! We have lost games due to fumbles. (Brown had a GIANT fumble issue in college) We have lost Moss (Always Hurt- Predictable). And also we should change our stupid scheme. Name one other team that runs out of the shotgun 90% of the time. Play action does not work and it limits the offense period. So when people say he did not fit our system no one does. He fits every NFL offense other than ours. So figure out the issue. We need to make Burrow go under center even if he doesn't like it. And we didnt really save 6 Mil when we signed Moss to replace him. If my memory serves me we actually saved about 2 Mil. I would pay 2 Mil to get that fumble back from Brown.
We could definitely use mixon. His presence in the locker room is surely missed. They made him a captain mid season at Houston. We lost too much leadership. Bates mixon and readers were all captains
Yes we definitely want to take the ball out of Burrow's hands more so Burrow isn't throwing 50 times per game and getting hit so much. Better running game could help this offense, OL, Burrow, and the skill players... your argument would work better if Chase Brown wasn't also hampered by this offensive scheme and run blocking... it's terrible... so improve run blocking and you could have kept both Brown & Mixon HOW they handled the Mixon trade probably had a larger impact in the locker room too
Shouldn’t have lost Bates, shouldn’t have lost Mixon, shouldn’t have lost Reader, shouldn’t have lost Awuzie, Shouldn’t have signed Stone, Should have fired Frank Pollock, Should’ve could’ve would’ve, this is where we are now. Just keep borrow from getting fucking hurt is all I ask, as a fan.
Man! What a bad statement… I good coaching staff adapt their ways to put in the best position the players of their team to produce better! Not get rid of good players because they don’t fix your way… Besides Even that you have the best QB in the legue, you need a good Run game to complement him… not put Joe in a position of throw the ball 50 plus times in every game.
Otherwise I agree that they left money without using it to help the OL, DL and the defense in general… that’s a front office responsibility and they only have shown how cheap and bad they are…
Having Mixon wouldn’t have changed anything. We needed a faster back that could block. Mixon didn’t fit the bengals scheme and it’s that simple. Definitely agree with James on this
Things went wrong in 1991 when mike hired his daughter. Then in 1999 Duke came along and the rest is history. Look at the bengals in the 70s and 80s versus 91 after
couldn’t care less what Mixon’s current numbers are in Houston. It’s the fact trading and releasing should only be done to improve the roster. Our record reflects our reality. We got worse and can’t stop a nose bleed. If you ask me, anyone who’s left since the SB run is probably happy they dodged the shit show happening in Cincinnati.

Zac thought his RB committee would be enough, instead it is one of their top 4 weaknesses. Moss and Khalil Herbert need to just find the exit door, hopefully the same one Zac is heading towards. Khalil Herbert's stat line reads 0 carries 0 yards 1 fumble recovery.
since watching brown run, I am excited. regardless of the 4-7 record and the run game being here and there, he looks like the skies the limit for him. and, he doesn’t need to take over a game because they want the ball in number 9’s hands who gives them their best chance.
Anyone putting the run game woes solely on the running backs is nuts. Joe mixon behind this line? They're last place in run blocking grade in the NFL according to pff.
They needed a veteran RB? They had Mixon. They needed a motivated and dynamic, playmaking RB? They had Mixon. They wanted talent at RB on the cheap? They had Mixon. Nothing about letting Mixon go was a good idea and that is apparently clear at this point in the season. Chalk it up to an inept front office just like Reader, Bates, Higgins... Top tier talent that has no business leaving the building. Moral of the story, a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.
Just another player to leave the Katie Blackburn run poverty franchise and do better. Not a shocker by any means. Joe Burrow could go to 29 of 32 teams in the NFL and win a championship and the Bengals ain't one of them.
Burrow wouldn't fit the offensive schemes that the Lions run or Texans. The only schemes Burrow might fit have the same issues... Bears (lots of weapons), Chiefs (Broncos sacked Mahomes 4 times in last game), Bills (Allen has to play superman), Rams (Stafford always getting hit/sacked)
Mixon brought veteran leadership and ball protection, he just doesn't fumble and was solid in the 4th quarter with controlling the clock. With that said, I agree, if you gonna save money by getting rid of him (Which I believe they were gonna cut him before the Texans came calling) then, yes, spend the money on some other Vets, or Pay Chase (Which really pisses me off). This kind of reminds me of when we got rid of Corey Dillon, then he went to the Patriots, had the best seasons of his Career and won a Superbowl. Water under the bridge, the Bengals have 6 games to win to get to the playoffs and until they're mathematically eliminated, Ill keep rooting. WHO DEY!!!!!!
He didn’t look good with us. He looked slow. I’d argue chase brown fits us better we need a fast running back to hit the whole as fast as possible because they close fast with our trash o line
Mixon sucked in our offense. He couldn't score on the goal line. He lacked agility and was usually tackled by first contact. Mixon fit the houston offense. The truth is our OLINE sux.😊
I get the scheme fit, Joe Mixon isn’t best suited out of the shotgun. But now we run a lot of 12 personnel out of the pistol. Joe Mixon would EAT with that. And we wouldn’t be over using Chase Brown and could keep him fresh.
3.8 yds per carry last year doesn’t mean much when the majority of his snaps were 3rd and short or 2nd/3rd and goal. Mixon was never the problem. He was misused behind a poor run blocking o line
That’s just one of the things that we shouldn’t have done. We don’t have an offensive line like Houston just like our defensive line and basically the over all defense it sucks. Until Duke Tobin and ownership changes how they spend mkk on money on players and retaining players instead of making their pockets full this team will never change the way they run this organization
Bottom line, Zac has lost "the room", and once that happens, its OVER!!!!! Zac Taylor is a dead man walking. Belicheck would be a GREAT get at this point. He would bring in his own coaching staff, and would toughen these guys up. The Bengals play in a physical, tough division, and they need a coach that is mentally and physically tough. Zac is a great guy, but an average coach at best, he is a much better coordinator than a HC.
Tobin has constructed a very strong roster, but the coaching staff has fallen short. They have brought in all kinds of O-Linemen, yet Pollack can't seem to figure things out. Why again is Pollack still coaching? Time to make WHOLESALE changes on the coaching staff. Damn shame they couldn't have got Jim Harbaugh when he was available. Oh well........
Joe mixon has nothing to do this team's issues. A top 10 offense without him. Anyone not placing blame on the details unit is just looking for a scapegoat. This team is in shootouts every week bc the defense can't make a stop. Even the corners can't cover because nobody but Hendrickson gets any pressure... it's just that simple.
Save $6 million in cap space for what though? Tee didn’t get an extension Jamarr didn’t get his extension, Reader walked, and they didn’t get any prize defensive player or work any blockbuster trade. It was a bad move. Admit it you were wrong and so was the front office. Sometimes players especially vets contribute more than just on the stat column he was a leader. He’s still playing and is productive and his “replacement” Zack Moss is on IR.
James, So I watched the whole video, and this is where I challenged you to think about another perspective. 1) 💯 agree that there was little point in trying to save money if you’re not going then put it back into the team with another need such as Callais, Campbell or Gilmore to make the team as a whole better because clearly we are a weaker team without Joe Mixon, then with Joe Mixon and Chase Brown. 2) Happy for Mixon because he deserves to be in a system where he is being used properly & can excel. And this is where we need to look at this differently. This should not be end of story. This should be where we learn from this and realize maybe we should’ve been using Mixon differently all along, to help out the offensive line and to help out Joe Burrow 👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽The current offensive system is not only not sustainable it will eventually create inconsistencies against better past defenses, puts more strain on the offensive line/Burrow, and has the potential to increase the risk for injury with Joe and turn his career into Andrew Luck. Just because you have a talent at quarterback like Joe Burrow does not mean you should be passing the ball 50 times a game. Why are we assuming that having a more complementary running game willboost the potential of this offense, and Joe Burrow to even be more potent. When you watch these games, the pass rush is aided by the fact that they are expecting pass 80% of the time. It makes our offensive lines get more fatigued and vulnerable when the defensive line has an advantage like this. There’s a reason why almost every top 10 offense is aided by a strong running game. Also, sometimes the best friend to a struggling defense is a ball control offense, which typically comes from a balanced run pass attack. Second and third down is so predictable with pass. I call it every time based on formation and third and short it’s like we’re scared to run the ball. There’s something very wrong with this formula and it’s about time you media folks start challenging the system and questioning this then just getting on here to talk about all this Joe Mixon trade makes sense because of his offense and how it’s run.
The Mixon trade was good for the Texans, irrelevant for the Bengals. They were never going to use him to his potential in this scheme and he was among the worst backs in the league at run blocking. I'm glad to see him going off but it has nothing to do with the Bengals. The Bengals' problems are systemic, front office and drafting/roster management. It has a poor head coach and no offensive line is going to hold up to the demands of the system they want to run on the offensive side of the ball. Otherwise, they've been horrible drafters and have gotten rid of the home grown players like Bates and the effective free agents like Awuzie and Reader and replaced them with junk that filled no need.
Also, please break down how they saved $6M in fake cap space... did you mean to say Bengals saved $2.5M in total cap space by trading Mixon? Bengals still have $2.75M in dead cap charge for Mixon in 2024 and Zach Moss has a 2024 cap charge for $3M... so the total cap charge for Mixon and his replacement is $5.75M in 2024 for the Bengals ...but Khalil Herbert's cap for the Bengals in 2024 is $0.5M.. so that's $6.25M in total cap charged to Bengals in 2024 for Mixon/Moss/Herbert

Zac Taylor doesn’t use any of his players correctly. Zac wanted to throw 60 times a game with no O Line. Get Joe hurt several times and Mixon was worthless in his offense
Scheme, scheme, scheme, point blank period. Zac Taylor's play design is gimmicky trash. The lack of run game AND the fact that Burrow has been getting destroyed his entire career comes down to scheme and coaching. In the end, the Brown family is the problem, but can't get rid of the owner.
Dam right they was wrong Mixon having a year period 🤷🏽♀️and Mixon leadership is missing and we got a 7th round pick that ain’t good enough for his contribution
we hear the Bengals are wasting burrow and chase. they need somebody else so burrow doesnt have to do it all. well, the texans scheme has them 7-4, cj stroud is still a top five qb statistically and mixon is carrying part of the load just like he did in cincinnati. The bengals scheme is the problem.

Having Mixon wouldn't change our record at all, don't delude yourself
You were the loudest voice in bengals media talking about how parting ways with Mixon was the best decision
😂😂😂 JR, your hilariously pathetic... as far as Joe Mixon is concerned:
1. We never got to fully witness the combination of Mixon and Chase Brown (especially after a full training camp of preparation)
2. One seriously overlooked talent of Joe Mixon is his 🔥 Locker Room Leadership (this has been a serious problem all season and quite possibly costed at lease two games)
3. Mixon 100% loved this franchise and never threw anyone under the bus (even during losing seasons).
I'm glad that he's doing great!
The F.O. and any coach or staff that co-signed his trade should hang their head in shame!
💯
You where hating on Joe MIXION....YOU AND JOE BAD BERRY RAN HIM OUTTA TOWN💯
Bengals got 1 rite, 2 wrong.
1) trade was ok = rite
2) only getting 7th round pick = wrong
3) wrong was also using the 7th pick on someone they let ride the bench
Said it all my life Duke Tobin can not gauge talent at all
I have been waiting for this… The bengals absolutely need Mixon, three points. Can’t run on short distances/ no toughness or physicality. Need to protect Burrow more, by being more balanced offensively/ just got his wrist repaired and throwing the ball 50+ times a game is dumb 💯
Third is that Mixon is a dawg/ leader and the offense won games with backup Quarterback last year with Mixon holding and heavy work load 💯😑( plus he should’ve had been the Super Bowl MVP) but terrible coaching 🤔
He would have been. They should have given him the rock on the last drive
Zac Taylor philosophy is doo doo. Pass first/ Hail Mary offense and bend but don’t break defense is straight garbage!
James, you clearly are just a puppet for the organization. Mixon was a top 5 HB & we traded him for absolutely nothing. ZT scheme is trash & that's why his numbers were lower. Anybody that actually knows how to analyze the game is not shocked at Joe Mixon's production right now.
This is me ripping the organization for not being aggressive enough. You’re a joe Mixon puppet lol
See how dumb you sound?
Get it through your heads! No RB can truly have great numbers when our coach calls 45-60 passing plays and 12 runs.
Bengals call enough running plays
But their formations scream 'we're running'
I haven't look, but I'm sure Houston runs a lot more plays under center than the Bengals. That helps Mixon, immensely.
Dude 8 mil is not close to 50 mil and brown definitely not better than Joe stop capping
And you’re right dude. I’m done with the whole don’t pay bates so we can pay Higgins, cut mixon to save cap, bullshit. They don’t use the money they save to improve the team. If they let Higgins walk I don’t have confidence they’ll use that money on defense.
Bengals didn't save much of real money or fake cap money when they traded Mixon... but it was enough real money to probably sign Calais Campbell who signed with Miami for $3M (Florida has less taxes tho so might've cost Bengals more)
Mixon wasn't cut to save cap. He was cut cause he didn't fit the offense anymore...and it shows...
@@lorenzosorice
Problem is that no one is consistently running great in this offensive scheme... imagine what Chase Brown or Moss could do with good run blocking and better angles in a better offensive run scheme
Is Burrow chosing to throw 50 times a game instead of attempting to make the run scheme better. Ja'Marr says keep throwing the ball bc he wants his stats... but if he wanted wins more than would Ja'Marr say run the ball better and wouldn't Ja'Marr just make the minimal effort to step in front of defenders. Everyone on chargers offense blocked better than Bengals, esp WRs not named Andrei... same on Texans. Our offense isn't committed to helping the run game and it shows
@@bengalsfandom623 the offensive scheme is built around your quarterback and his strengths. Along with your two best players Chase and Tee.
@@lorenzosorice
And for 5 years that offensive scheme has been inconsistent in winning games which is fine for the 3 years that Burrow was being paid $10M/year so plenty to allocate to defensive FAs like Reader, ogunjobi, Hendrickson, bell, Chido, etc... to make a top 14 defense
It would be fine if Ja'Marr & Burrow could handle the pressure & come through to win most of the games at the end (since Tee isn't in the plans). But Ja'Marr is too busy blaming the kicker when Ja'Marr isnt being clutch at the end of most games either. Im sure All this pettiness is having nothing but a positive affect in the locker room lol. NOBODY likes to lose but adversity continues to show Ja'Marr's true character
😂😂😂😂😂😂 James' hate for Mixon is so deep, he has to randomly make a video about Mixon to try and talk his way around his terrible 'we don't need Mixon' takes conveniently after Mixon destroyed the Cowboys 😂😂😂😂😂😂 pride is such a crazy thing 🤦🏾 just let it go and let Mixon be great dude, you were wrong and the majority of us knew it when you started with the bs 2 seasons ago 🤦🏾
Trend Setta is wrong again
@BengalsTalk 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 you're being delusional James but be great my man, I know you don't like the truth when we start talking about Mix so I don't want the smoke my man 😂🤦🏾
The point is our offense would be better with Mixon
Would it? It wasn’t last year.
@@BengalsTalk Burrow was out, plus the offense was more balanced and physical. It’s better to win ugly than lose pretty; throwing 50 times a game is diabolical 💯😑…we play in the AFC NORTH 🤔
@ chase brown is better this year than last with him and Mixon this year would be better than Moss and brown
@BengalsTalk because burrow was hurt... and zac still trotted burrow out there to have him immobile in thr pocket and throwing 45 times in a game... Zacs not actually running the ball effectively because we have a trash interior line... the yards per play isn't better and you keep moving the fking goal post. you either know football or you dont.. stop being biased dude you need to admit either you never like mixon because his issue coming out of college...
@@BengalsTalkthey were winning more games last year, offense wasn’t putting it on the ground last year like it is this year is it? Not to me too , the schedule was much tougher than it is this year too. You can keep the window dressing numbers from burrow and chase, wins are the only thing I respect.
This guy did not give a good argument for the Bengals giving up Mixon!
He works for the Bengals, so he's just as incompetent as the front office & coaching staff
The problem is what they did with the money they freed up. They wasted money on moss and didn't use the extra money to help resign awuzie
Better running game could help this offense, OL, Burrow, and the skill players... your argument would work better if Chase Brown wasn't also hampered by this offensive scheme and run blocking... it's terrible... so improve run blocking and you could have kept both Brown & Mixon
HOW they handled the Mixon trade probably had a larger impact in the locker room too
Also, between the three RB the Bengals fielded there’s 5 total fumbles.
I like the trade, just goes to show how good Chase Brown could be if the scheme and blocking wasn’t bush league
Shouldn’t have lost Bates, shouldn’t have lost Mixon, shouldn’t have lost Reader, shouldn’t have lost Awuzie,
Shouldn’t have signed Stone,
Should have fired Frank Pollock,
Should’ve could’ve would’ve, this is where we are now.
Definitely agree with James on this
Hasn't worked for us this year 😂
@@jharp08 The run game definitely looks better but okay 😅
Things went wrong in 1991 when mike hired his daughter. Then in 1999 Duke came along and the rest is history. Look at the bengals in the 70s and 80s versus 91 after
Moving on from DJ Reader was what really hurt us. Hall of Famer...
Shoulda kept DJ Reader he is missed too
Chase Brown is Samaje Perine with less facial hair.
couldn’t care less what Mixon’s current numbers are in Houston. It’s the fact trading and releasing should only be done to improve the roster. Our record reflects our reality. We got worse and can’t stop a nose bleed. If you ask me, anyone who’s left since the SB run is probably happy they dodged the shit show happening in Cincinnati.
They got it wrong with joe bro . Chase brown isnt ready & zack moss was never good
And i thought losing Jessie bates was worse but this
Since Chase Brown began getting a full workload he's been just as good as Mixon
stop it @@SnoopyReads

and totally agree they saved money and just saved money…. 🤔
Bottom line is the front office should have spent the money somewhere!!!
Anyone putting the run game woes solely on the running backs is nuts.
Joe mixon behind this line?
They're last place in run blocking grade in the NFL according to pff.
And the texans are only a few ticks higher? It's a completely different offensive scheme.
@lorenzosorice id take 8th worse than THE worst.
Chase brown ypc 4.3
Joe mixon ypc 4.5
I always look at not trading Tee for defensive players as the problem. But this was spot on James. Great points. We’re in a tough position now..
I hate to admit it, but we had a chance to get Henry and we should have!!!
Mixon sucked in our offense. He couldn't score on the goal line. He lacked agility and was usually tackled by first contact. Mixon fit the houston offense. The truth is our OLINE sux.😊
This is blatantly the coaching staff’s ineptitude
I knew he was wanted here bad move.
The front office was wrong, they've never been right.
James,
So I watched the whole video, and this is where I challenged you to think about another perspective.
This should be where we learn from this and realize maybe we should’ve been using Mixon differently all along, to help out the offensive line and to help out Joe Burrow
👉🏽👉🏽👉🏽The current offensive system is not only not sustainable it will eventually create inconsistencies against better past defenses, puts more strain on the offensive line/Burrow, and has the potential to increase the risk for injury with Joe and turn his career into Andrew Luck.
Dude mixon was held back by us he wouldn’t be having the type of season he’s having behind our oline this year
Also, please break down how they saved $6M in fake cap space... did you mean to say Bengals saved $2.5M in total cap space by trading Mixon?
Bengals still have $2.75M in dead cap charge for Mixon in 2024 and Zach Moss has a 2024 cap charge for $3M... so the total cap charge for Mixon and his replacement is $5.75M in 2024 for the Bengals ...but Khalil Herbert's cap for the Bengals in 2024 is $0.5M.. so that's $6.25M in total cap charged to Bengals in 2024 for Mixon/Moss/Herbert
Let talent leave, replace with cheaper and less capable options - that's the Brown family strategy.
i say WHO CARES lets move on dat shi is n da past plus he old asf anyways like our problems is come n frm da offense like HUHH. we have chase brown faster younger n higher ceiling. TALK about sun else James like y hasn't uh soul been fired yet
The trade was correct for both parties. Once again the bengals have to develop someone. Chase is as good with a higher “big play” ability.
Yep
You don’t think that veteran presence wouldn’t help?
Mixon was the only reason they were so good no matter what
Zac Taylor doesn’t use any of his players correctly.
Bengals O-line has sucked for so long. Rapien gets it wrong. Any semblance of blocking and he’s a top 5 RB in the league.
Sounds like sugar on 💩to me🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He was always elite 1200 yards last year
Dam right they was wrong Mixon having a year period 🤷🏽♀️and Mixon leadership is missing and we got a 7th round pick that ain’t good enough for his contribution
we hear the Bengals are wasting burrow and chase. they need somebody else so burrow doesnt have to do it all. well, the texans scheme has them 7-4, cj stroud is still a top five qb statistically and mixon is carrying part of the load just like he did in cincinnati. The bengals scheme is the problem.
Wrong about the trade and the way Zac played him, he was on the sideline way too much for Perine
He was always a gun and bled orange and black. Dumb trade.
God.. this is a pass heavy team and seeing tee Higgins gone next year and lighting the league up elsewhere is gonna hurt… 2/2 right now with letting vets go. Bates should’ve been signed.. although you’re right about mixon and scheme.. a loss is a loss tee Higgins will prolly go to Jacksonville and light it up… starting to cope now…
Moss was garbage
New team new look that's why Joe Mixon is producing
Also $6M ain’t shit for an nfl team who cares about saving that id rather have had Mixon/Brown 1-2 punch
