People are just beginning to discuss the problem that makes the difference: "can't close." The D sucks but the offense STILL has chances to win... and it fails. Missed blocks, missed passes, dropped passes, missed kicks, can't get first downs to chew clock, rarely get FG chances, and almost never tds. The "last 5 minutes" offense has failed to win games. Had a chance vs NE, failed. Had a chance vs KC, failed. Had a chance vs 1st Balt, failed. Had a chance vs 2nd Balt, failed. Had a chance vs LAC, failed. Only ONE td drive in those 5 losses, and failed to conversion and lost (2nd Balt). Only ONCE had FG attempts at the end to win and failed (1st Balt, LAC). Meanwhile Mahomes, Allen, G. Smith, Goff, Stafford, and others have gotten those game-winning td drives. Despite all the MVP numbers of the offense, they are not getting the 'game winners' done. They have failed every time this year.
Let's really get into the front office everybody talks about Nixon and Bates gone and Tyler Boyd gone but have you forgotten about what uzuma was for our team he was a great tight end for us
I mean you guys are not pointing out the biggest issue here which is mike brown. The New York Media, Philly media, and Dallas media always scorch the owner or GM when they have one bad season. On the other hand, the cincinnati sports media cucks to mike brown as if he's a king in GOT.
We all knew interior d-line and cornerback had huge question marks. The fact that the front office sat on their hands and did nothing just goes to show Katie & Company will never go all in. They will always get an F. Zac Taylor F his offensive scheme is getting Burrow destroyed week in and week out & he is like Henry Winkler in the clutch. Lou C- when he gets fired as the scapegoat by the trash front office to cover for Zac because he is under contract through 2026.Lou will get another D-Coordinater job. Zac on the other hand will be lucky to be a clipboard holder for a Rec League flag football team.
Fair points but Burrow likes the Shotgun. Joe's partly responsible for offensive scheme though he takes huts like 25% of the time. I wish he would go under center more so he can cut down the hits.
@@sportsfisher9677Burrow ain’t the coach. No play action passing. No quick hitting plays for the running backs. If we throw 50 times in a game we usually lose.
Joe has had ample chances to score game winning drives and comes up short. I love our QB, but I don't think he is that clutch. He had so many opportunities to ice the game and couldn't convert. Herbert gets one shot, and goes 70 odd yards in 3 plays when it mattered most.
Clearly you missed the dropped pick 6 by Hilton, the 2 missed FG’s by MISSPhearson and the dropped TD by Chase all of which happened with less than 8 minutes to go in the game. By your estimation, Burrow is also supposed to be a WR now to catch his own deep passes down the field. Burton also dropped a TD before half (refs missed a holding/DPI call), none of which are Burrow’s fault. I guess I missed the intro press conference also naming Joe as a kicker/defensive player starter. If all of those plays had been made the Bengals would have won the Chargers game by 27 points. By your standards clutch isn’t leading your team back for what should have been a 1 point victory against the Ravens after you just watched your defense give up 28 straight points in 18 minutes of football only for the refs to blatantly turn a blind eye to 5 penalties on the 2 point conversion while also leading a 21 point comeback the following week against the Chargers only for Chase to drop the TD on their second to last drive, Hilton dropped a pick 6 and the defense surrendered an 84 yard TD in 27 seconds with less than 45 seconds to go in a tied ball game. That pretty much tells you all you need to know about who deserves most of the blame for this dumpster fire season.
Yeah Herbert faced a HS defense who ironically was only capable of pressuring him for 29 minutes and 15 seconds in the 2nd half, which allowed the 21 point comeback off his inaccurate throws (50% completion percentage) and his turnover, which Joe led a TD scoring drive on. The Bengals D conveniently on the last drive with less than 45 seconds left in a tied ball game reverted back to their first half level of play and gave up wide open throws/runs to the tune of 84 yards in 27 seconds. In addition, they also dropped what should have been the game ending pick 6 off of guess who Herbert. Herbert chokes in every game the minute he faces any pressure, while Joe thrives in that all game every game, hence why Herbert has 0 playoff wins to Joe’s 5 in 2 seasons. The Chargers will be a wild card exit this year. Mark my words while the Bengals will pull off the first round victory. I don’t know a single person that would take Herbert over Burrow other than you. You are tripping.
@@allisondecker1918 Appreciate the heart felt response. I know our defence is below atrocious, and Burrow can't keep doing everything. Sorry mate, really angry like all of us at the moment. 👍 For the record, I wouldn't swap Burrow for ANY other QB. Just want to make that clear. Have a great day.
Zac Taylor has failed everyone in the building so we have to be comfortable to fail him. Where they fail is specifically based on dumb game management calls. Late game management is all Zac’s fault. He’s lost 3-4 games this year due to his play calling. Then the defense is horrendous so Lou is also failing
The Bengals need to clean house, from Tobin to Taylor. The need to hire a GM. I don’t understand how as an NFL team, you don’t have 15-20 employees who work in the scouting office directly under the general manager. The GM would create a plan of action, focusing on the weaknesses on the team and areas that need improvement from a depth perspective. More than half of the team should be watching multiple college football games every single day, making a hierarchy of players they want to draft in each position. Working every day of the week to make sure they nail a 3 day draft. The remains scouts need to focusing on potential trade targets and guys to add to the practice squad or off waivers. ITS NOT THAT FUCKING HARD
I implore all Bengals fans that live locally since I don’t, to boycott buying merchandise and showing up to the rest of the home games. This is the only way that we will get Mike Brown moving to enact change. Remember before the Burrow era, they were getting less than 10,000 fans in attendance.

Are u related to him?..related to the agent??..PR man? We get it.....by way he wouldn't have mattered in the long run. (See 34 year old street dt Lawrence Guy)
Nickel Mac? You know McPherson might be a bit out if practice with these longer FGs. Let's face it, if the offense/play selection would stop tanking deep in the red zone, he wouldn't keep getting so much practice booting FGs that turn out to be less or equal to extra point length. Imagine kicking those regularly then being expected to make 50 plus yard attempts. Like being at the five and hearing an official go "false start #67, five yard penalty, repeat (down)." Oh and "holding" has also been called as well. Let us not forget the silly forward pass play calls that look like laterals that get stuffed behind or at the line. Well, we are in Macs 55 yard range, let's run it three times. Then the response at the end of the game from your players is "ask coach" and Zac is "that was the right play call(s)." Then wait for the next question. Why that stale stoic standard response, alla Bill Belichick, doesn't work so well for Teeny Bopper Taylor is Belichick has Super Bowl Trophies and Championships on his resume. That is why it also was such an insult to compare his tenure in New England with that of Lewis when he was Head Coach in Cincinnati.
We have an elite level QB and WR1. Why wouldn't we want to go after one of the best coaches of all time in Bill Belichick? I get he's older but I bet he still has some gas left in the tank. Taylor has done a lot of good for this franchise but he is an average coach who has let us down way too many times in key moments. Plus i'm sick of hearing him talk in press conferences after a loss.
Until us fans stick together and say we had enough we gotta back joe you can see it in his face. Nothing is going to change. It took a serious injury to sign a CB. We need to band together what if that was joe.
Firing Taylor won’t fix the problem. U could bring in Vince Lombardi but it won’t matter because Mike Brown and his daughter and Duke Tobin are still running the franchise into the ground. Our O-line still sucks in the interior and our defense is the worst in the league. Knowing all that, this front office still did NOTHING to fix these problems.
others positions that weren't graded...... running back: C - brown has played well but moss has been a disappoint even when he did play........and no........joe mixon was NOT the problem in the running game the past few seasons and neither is chase brown. receiving weapons other than ja'marr: B - tee higgins has played very good this season............WHEN HEALTHY. mike gesicki has also played well. d-line: D+ - run defense seems to be getting a little better but their pass rush as a whole group has been bad basically the whole season despite what trey hendrickson is doing. linebackers: C+ - if there has been a bright spot on defense outside of hendrickson, it's linebackers but I don't really mean that in the good way. secondary: F+ - cam taylor britt has been arguably the worst cornerback this season, geno stone has been arguably the worst safety this season, and it feels like any defensive back on the bengals that started showing process this season, they get a significant injury (dax hill and dj turner).
I couldn’t agree more. Trey has set an NFL record for being the only player to account for 65% of the team’s pass rush pressures/sacks generated. The only other player in NFL history in 2nd place is J.J. Watt who accounted for 50%. That stat tells you all you need to know.
See my previous comments above on your first post. Take your trolling negativity elsewhere. Clearly you missed him running for his life behind the worst O line in football all game long coupled with all of the drops from his receivers including 2 dropped TD’s. Clearly you also missed the defense putting him in a 27-6 deficit to even begin with. His kicker also cost us this game with 2 missed field goals inside of 8 minutes remaining in the game and the defense dropped a pick 6 with less than 45 seconds to go. Where’s this same level of criticism for Lamar who had a 48% completion rate on almost 30 less throws than Joe coupled with a 68 passer rating while Joe’s was 100?
Joe’s also the one that bailed the defense out from being absolutely annihilated 35-6 against the Chargers. Every single game he has to bail this defense out because they give up a TD pretty much on every single drive. Joe gets them the lead only for them to give up a game winning score immediately every week against any quality opponent.
Let's look at our season. Lost to the Chiefs on the bell. Lost to the Ravens cause our kicker has forgotten how to kick. Lost to Ravens because we went for a 2 point instead od one. And why, because either Taylor had a brain fade, or he was not confident with our defence. Lost to the Chargers because we could not defend in the first half. Then we played like champions, our kicker let us down once again So, 3 games we should have won, because our kicker is to cocky and relies on past events. He needs to shape up, learn to be accurate, or leave, and we find someone who is not going to choke. And, Burrow is playing out of his skin and carrying this team, with Chase and Henrikson. Britt has to put up or leave, and we need another Mixon like runner. Frustrated, from Australia

Chatterbox sports off the bench is a way better beat. CBT is just like Zac after a loss. This guys here defended Zac all year, wanted mixon gone. Etc etc. and oh yeah wanted to trade for cooper Kipp at the deadline.
Don't get me wrong Joe is awesome but you can't ignore big mistakes he's made at the end of games the fumble against KC and missing Jamar wide open for TD's on consecutive weeks Joe even admitted it himself in the press conference

Dumb take 😂. Burrow playing his best ball. He covers up a lot of mistakes on the offense. He is the reason why we’re in games when the defense is giving up TDs
@@JordanT3025 Tbf, neither the offense or defense did well in the first half... special teams were the only ones to score in 1st half with 2 field goals. In the second half, both offense and defense stepped up and special teams missed 2 field goals. When asked after game, offensive and defensive players said they executed better in 2nd half. Many times in the past, Burrow would figure out the defense and make more plays in the 2nd half. In the 2nd half, offense scored 3 times and defense held chargers to 5 punts, 1 field goal, and a fumble recovery until that last play where the whole chargers offense did incredible blocking
Man you’re on one today. They actually scored 17 in the opener because the refs incorrectly overturned Gesicki’s TD (they even admitted it after the game) and Moss’s fumble (7 points wasted), Chase’s drop off Jones’ INT costing us at least 3 points, Brown’s TD being overturned by a bogus holding penalty and the blatant missed roughing the passer call on Burns in the 4th quarter cost us at least 3 points, which means we would have scored 37 points in that Giants game. Let this sink in Joe had to throw 9 TD’s against the Ravens only for his defense/coaching/special teams and officiating to cost him while the Steelers beat them kicking 6 field goals.

Let's really get into the front office everybody talks about Nixon and Bates gone and Tyler Boyd gone but have you forgotten about what uzuma was for our team he was a great tight end for us
He’s washed
Hurst was Burrows best TE, without question
All is making a run for the money for best overall at the position also Gissecki is a better pass catcher overall than all TEs.
The offense went 3 and out with game on the line multiple times. Pay the defense what you pay the offense if you want great defense
Can't be "clearance rack" coz he's already been paid 😭😭
I think sometimes the platform should feel more pressure on the bangles
Woh day
Leave it to the bengals to lose while having the best qb and wr in the league. Not trading Tee HURT.
Hard to believe if the Steelers win they'll be 5 full games ahead of the Bengals
You must be living a blissful life
The Bengals need to clean house, from Tobin to Taylor.
James you do great work. Bought read your book outstanding. Didn't find name CALAIS CAMPBELL anywhere even though yoyve mentioned him on platforms 1000+? Are u related to him?..related to the agent??..PR man? We get it.....by way he wouldn't have mattered in the long run. (See 34 year old street dt Lawrence Guy)
It takes a special type of bad to go 4-7 with the best QB in the league (maybe other than Lamar) and the best WR in the league.
How Andrew gave Duke and the front office anything but an F is laughable.
Which game did the bengals not have the ball at end of game with chance to win?
It’s sad to see a team so broken and a fanbase so broken as everything comes crashing down for the Zac Taylor era
Facts
Frank pollock needs to go as well! He has not helped our offensive line no where close to where it needs to be
others positions that weren't graded......
running back: C - brown has played well but moss has been a disappoint even when he did play........and no........joe mixon was NOT the problem in the running game the past few seasons and neither is chase brown.
receiving weapons other than ja'marr: B - tee higgins has played very good this season............WHEN HEALTHY. mike gesicki has also played well.
d-line: D+ - run defense seems to be getting a little better but their pass rush as a whole group has been bad basically the whole season despite what trey hendrickson is doing.
linebackers: C+ - if there has been a bright spot on defense outside of hendrickson, it's linebackers but I don't really mean that in the good way.
secondary: F+ - cam taylor britt has been arguably the worst cornerback this season, geno stone has been arguably the worst safety this season, and it feels like any defensive back on the bengals that started showing process this season, they get a significant injury (dax hill and dj turner).
I couldn’t agree more. Trey has set an NFL record for being the only player to account for 65% of the team’s pass rush pressures/sacks generated. The only other player in NFL history in 2nd place is J.J. Watt who accounted for 50%. That stat tells you all you need to know.
So you want defense to bail out burrow, 56% completion vs chargers
Zac gets a D 3th year being unprepared for the season horror play calls and refusesing to improve!! And give up play calling
Fs all around, except for Burrow and Chase
Andrew way to generous. Mac gets an incomplete for me. I’m not convinced it’s not the whole operation
Then we played like champions, our kicker let us down once again
So, 3 games we should have won, because our kicker is to cocky and relies on past events. He needs to shape up, learn to be accurate, or leave, and we find someone who is not going to choke. And, Burrow is playing out of his skin and carrying this team, with Chase and Henrikson. Britt has to put up or leave, and we need another Mixon like runner. Frustrated, from Australia
2:31 zac has been a coach here for 6 years dont tell me he is just learning to be aggressive . He cant trust the defense fine if thats the case why keep lou. Also we need a new kicker keep searching. Imma alittle irritated at joe comment on being a vocal leader its year 5 joe speak up
Chatterbox sports off the bench is a way better beat.
CBT is just like Zac after a loss.
This guys here defended Zac all year, wanted mixon gone. Etc etc. and oh yeah wanted to trade for cooper Kipp at the deadline.
Is. Mike. Brown. Gonna pick another. O. Lineman Like Jackson. Carman
Don't get me wrong Joe is awesome but you can't ignore big mistakes he's made at the end of games the fumble against KC and missing Jamar wide open for TD's on consecutive weeks Joe even admitted it himself in the press conference
Frank Pollack has had 20 plus players under him over the years. F and should have been fired years ago.
GM & Ownership F, Zack Taylor F-, the Cincinnati Media & Reporters F. those guys are soft when it comes to criticizing ownership James said if Bengals trade Mixon the team will be rolling an Mixon has never averaged over 5 yds per carry until Bengals traded him reason why because the Bengals OL aint Sh@t. Zack Moss is a down grade from Mixon he performed well with Colts because his OL open up holes you can drive a Cadillac through.
Should’ve kept Mixon.
Irrelevant
@ just like our team.
this coaching staff don't know what they're doing. he looked washed when the bengals had him
@@metsrusno he didn’t he was good, but we’ve still had one of the best offenses in the league, it’s not our offense that’s the problem
It’s not our fucking offense that’s the problem
If…..if we only had some type of defense our Bengals would be damn near unbeatable!!!!
Imagine having Steelers defense & our offense…..😂we would look BETTER than the Lions!!!
Hell, if we had Fitzpatrick & one of Pittsburgh edge rushers we would be damn good!!!
What PISSES Me off more than anything, is that the Bengals front office knows we need two to three players on defense & we could make a run……
They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING b4 the trade deadline!!!
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING🙄
You would think 🤔 Mike Brown would want to bring home a Super Bowl for his Father…..U WOULD THINK🙄Uhh!!!
Maybe Mac
What world are yall living in... a season where joe is healthy, chase too... and they are 4 and 7... barely beat a bad giants team and Carolina... there were issues on the raiders game we almost let them back into the game well into the 4th qtr...
Why does everyone act like Frank Pollack is this end all be all offensive line guru? Pollack is a below average offensive line coach. The O-Line continues to be the Achilles heal for this team, year in and year out. The.only constant in this scenario is Frank Pollack. Pollack needs to be relieved of his duties. They are promoting mediocrity. That is a recipe for disaster.
Apparently you didn’t read my comment
Mike Potts gets an F for our drafts. Mike Potts must be fired. When you look at his drafts, he has about a 20% success rate in the draft. Mike is responsible for the drafts and he must be fired.
So glad we got rid of Mixon, what a bust he is.
Don’t waste your time, wake up they are done , that is the problem with Cincinnati they put up low mediocrity. If you really want a winner fire Zack and hire a top shelf coach
Dukes. Staff. Is not. That good. At. Evaluating. Players 11:45
Burrow is a top tier QB and there's nobody I'd rather have, but ...... There's no denying that he hasn't been able to close out games. He needs to play his best when it's all on the line and recently he hasn't been able to do it
That’s an INSANE take lol. It honestly is.

Dumb take 😂. Burrow playing his best ball. He covers up a lot of mistakes on the offense. He is the reason why we’re in games when the defense is giving up TDs
@@JordanT3025
Tbf, neither the offense or defense did well in the first half... special teams were the only ones to score in 1st half with 2 field goals.
Bro. The O line is a F what are we looking at 🥲
Blame the defense if you must, but the defense gave the ball to Joe burrow in every game with a chance to win
Except for the commanders game.
lol blame burrow all you want😂😂😂
@BengalsTalk tired of people blaming Burrow. He's got the best stats of any QB, he's doing his damn job. When is the D going to do their job?
Not gonna win many games getting 34+ points dunked on you
Both can be true ... well all 3 can be true since need to include kicking operation. All 3 phases need to do better, especially at the end of games
Bye Season
Not going to win many games scoring 10 and 17 points
Steelers do
Man you’re on one today.
Misspherson
TH is a one trick pony
Trey is leading for sacks
2nd for tackles for loss (more than hitting qbs)
1st for QB pressures
2nd for QB knockdowns
Zac Taylor has to go
Bankrupt mac
True, except Joe did mess up and settle for 2 fgs in first half
You guys should do a podcast about Mike Brown. How at one point he was rated the worst owner and franchise in all of sports in 2002 or maybe 2001 and that Zach Taylor is going nowhere because he does not fire coaches he’s cheap. It’d be really nice for someone to stand up and address that with a platform so fans can truly know.
Defense played good enough to give offense a chance to win
So, you want the defense to make up for Burtow’s interceptions, overthrows, underthows, late throws, wrong throws, and fumbles
Yep, Joe burrow settled for field goals in first half, should’ve made touchdowns, even so, that’s one game, 6 other losses in joes hands
Ignorance is bliss
No Burton dropped a TD while the refs also turned a blind eye to a holding/DPI call and Hudson stalled the other drive from ending in a TD because of a penalty. Your ignorant comments make absolutely no sense and they are based off of nonsense without any factual evidence. Take your trolling negativity elsewhere. Goodbye Felicia.
They haven't underachieved. They're just not any good. They've got some spectacular players, sure, but that's it. They don't have a contending team right now.
