I have been shopping with Pound Fabrics for years, 99% of my fabrics come from Pound Fabrics, they are superb in quality, price and customer service. I have the cat jersey and am teaming it with plain mustard jersey to make a top. I did think of you when I bought it 👍🏻

I have had great fabric from pound fabrics. I got some at about £3 per metre to try out a pattern and it's going to be great, I'll definitely want to wear it. Love a mystery box too,it helps me try things I wouldn't have chosen for myself.

I have just ordered 2 metres of the pink,purple and orange floral french terry fabric to make a fitted dress. I love all the fabrics I have had from Pound Fabric they are good quality fabrics. Love your video’s 💕🥰

I love the thought of the excitement and anticipation of the mystery box but when it comes down to it, for the amount of money I would spend, say $50 to $60, I would rather spend that money on fabric that I LOVE as opposed to fabric I just like, also I only use natural fabrics like cotton wool and linen, I have a certain color patter too...I follow Emily Hallman....she sews "collections"....everything mixes and matches....well thought out and impeccably tailored....I even use the custom fabric option of one of the large fabric stores.... I can pick my color palette and have it printed on my choice of fabric....but I still love watching unboxing videos!
Yes I think the mystery boxes aren’t for everyone I like the ones with fabric in but I don’t like ones with a surprise pattern as I know I’m more selective on that. I’ll check Emily out thank you 😁
Love, love the flora fabric. Your choice of patterns are wonderful. Can't wait to see them made. The dark red and cat print is gorgeous. Ohhh the light green and cream/white background is lovely; The pink, red fabric is adorable.The sandgria fabric is stunning; short fabric is so pretty and goes well with flora fabric is beautiful together. Love the cat fabric with different hair assessories; blue, orange and purple floral is pretty; I'm in love with the black, orange white, and blue and green fabric.I love, love all your fabric and patterns. I worked in Woolworths as a Saturday girl when I was at school, you reminded me I worked on the sweet counter and sometimes on the deli……..Happy memories of my teenage years 🥰

Lovely fabrics Michelle. I have made 9125 jumpsuit a few years ago. I used 1.5 metres of cotton lawn to try it out. It’s very nice, great for very hot weather and I did the tie version. I did a toile of the pants first to check the rise. I don’t think I made any alterations except the length as wanted it just above the ankle. There’s a wrap back version on my pattern and the envelope front is different but it’s definitely the same. I would like to see the Westcliff dress made as don’t find the envelope that inspiring. Thank you ☺️

Your cat fabrics win hands down! The rest of your fabric haul is really beautiful. A friend of mine used to say that you don't have to buy artwork when you are owned by a cat. They are sculpture in motion. Thanks for sharing

I really loved this,I didn't want it to end.The colour of your trouser fabrics gorgeous,really rich.I decided to check out pound fabrics and bought a beautiful inky black linen ,a black fine cord and a lovely blue flower printed viscose.The prices are amazing so well worth a look.I can just see you in your maroon cat onesie playing with two confused cats. First of all, the binding in the mystery box is beautiful. I don't know what the different kinds are used for though. But there are no rules, so use it how you want to.
Cat fabric definitely makes me happy. and dogs. And bunnies. I once saw a fabric with farm animals that was funny and awesome. And I didn't buy any. Biggest regret. Always buy when you see something that really makes you happy.
My favorite was the French Terry floral.

Glad it wasn’t just me not sure about the binding size, as you say as long as it does the job 👍 I find fabric with animals on always makes me smile and I agree if you get a fabric which makes your face light up then it is worth the treat 💖

Super fabrics! Look forward to seeing your makes with all of them. As you were showing the red one with you plan for shorts it looked great with the shirt you had on. Bet they would go with lots of your current wardrobe. Who would have thought red could be a wardrobe staple 😉
I have always wanted some red shorts as I get a bit bored of dark colours and I love dressing in bright colours for summer ☀️ x
Lovely Fabrics Michelle. I've made the Nina Lee Mayfair dress. It's a lovely style. I made the 3/4 sleeve version and have worn it quite a bit lately because we're in autumn here in New Zealand. I modified mine slightly. Instead of putting the tie going round the dress, I Just cut the tie shorter and sewed in place across the front. Very easy sewing. Your cats are going to love the polar fleece. They'll think you got it just for them 🤣 Love the French terry. I could see the last floral piece made up in Simplicity 8874 version B without the ties on the sleeves. Happy sewing 🧵🪡

I have the Gertie pattern, made view C (of course, he he) twice, a bunch of time ago, I need to revisit that pattern again. Excited to see your makes from the patterns. Love a good haul. Lovely choice of fabric Michelle. I love pound fabrics for their plain jerseys. The also do a very good quality rib which is half the price of most retailers.

Such gorgeous fabrics. I love them all. I absolutely love the look of the jumpsuit pattern. We don't tend to get Simplicity here in Canada, although we used to. So I don't know if I will be able to find it. I can order from them, but their shipping is really expensive.
It is frustrating that we can't get Simplicity or New Look here in Canada. I wonder why. If a coworker or friend goes over to Port Huron Michigan I will ask them to pick me up some patterns either at Hobby Lobby or Joanne's.

The last floral fabric is just stunning, I love pound fabrics, have loads, in my haul video at the end of April I have loads to share (may have gone a bit mad!) you do have to really search for them sometimes on there but it’s definitely part of the fun! Can’t wait to see what you make 😊

Great video as usual, Michelle. Loved the cat fleece. Not sure if you've sewn with fleece before, and you might already know this if so, but I saw a video on RUclips advising that if you sew it on an overlocker, to trim out the seam allowance at the start of the seam to get started. It worked brilliantly! It also helped to reduce the presser foot pressure slightly. Sorry if you knew all that already! I also loved the last fabric from Pound Fabrics. So lovely and bright.

I'm far too picky about my fabrics to go for a mystery box. There are too many colours I either don't like or don't suit me and I don't buy dressmaking fabric with polyester in it. Love the cat fabrics. I'm a sucker for a furry face myself. When I was a kid, we used to buy loose chocolate malted milk biscuits from Woolworths. And that makes me really old.

do you find the big 4 patterns significantly different in size from indie patterns? I only have Indy patterns and someone told me that the big 4 patterns come up a lot bigger. :)
I find the sizing on the indie patterns is easier to understand. The big 4 you really have to look at the sizing and finished garment measurements more. I have found I have made items that fit perfectly or as people say can come up really big, I think it just depends on the pattern but finished measurements are better to use on the big 4. Hope that helps x
