I'm stunned - you poor thing! As many have said, I cannot believe Mood sent you a box of their floor debris. I order from Mood regularly and have never been disappointed. It bothers me to see that they would do this.
@@AlaysiaMarea seeing the prices of their regular fabrics I'm not surprised. They pretend to be a store selling quality goods at decent prices but in reality they're more of a mid range vendor with pretentions.
Haha “I could make a Mummy out of this” made me laugh but your box made mine look amazing Mine also had a lot of plain fabric but I did get more yardage in most of mine and a couple of lovely quality pieces with no marks Hope you manage to make something nice 😊
Liked and subscribed all because of that disappointing "mystery" box from Mood. From watching Project Runway i would have NEVER thought mood would do this to their customers but wow. I guess they took the "one person's trash is another person's treasure" to a whole new level 😂
Fabric Mart has a $45 mystery box. I ordered it and got a lot of beautiful prints, solids, and knits. Nothing was less than a yard or maybe a yard and a half. I would love to see an unboxing if you order it! The Mood box was disappointing because I love their fabric. Who wants a half yard of stuff. You can’t even use it for quilting.
Thanks for this. I have thought about buying a mystery box many times but always hesitated. Glad I did. I was thinking of some projects to use these fabrics as you pulled them out . I have lots of prints in my stash and could possibly make items with the solids, but you do not get to pick and choose. Well maybe do a follow-up and show us how you put some of this to use.
(Taffy) don’t give up yet. You can ash the fabrics, you might be pleasantly surprised. OR you have lots of dyeing possibilities . . . I am always looking for “less desirable” pieces to make a “muslin” for fitting. But, the first thing I would do is to wash the lot. To soften stiff fabrics, wash with a can of Coca Cola (no soap, not diet, not Pepsi).
I love your first striped fabric! It matches your skin tone so well and will look lovely on! Sad about the Mood mystery box! The emerald green satin was the most exciting. I can’t stand sewing solids and much prefer prints! Look forward to seeing what you make 😃
Getting junk leftovers in mystery boxes seems to be the norm. Had it happen several times recently, only 1 store shipped actual quality fabric in usable amounts. Worst experience they put in about a meter of a pretty nice fabric, except there was a massive hole right in the middle of it, and the rest was all pieces of less than half a meter of assorted end of bolt stuff, most of it pretty wrinkled. You'd think they'd give you decent amounts of decent fabrics, to give a good impression of the store and their products, but I guess they literally see it as a way to get rid of the leftovers that they can't sell normally. Never ordered from Mood, but seeing them ship this I'm certainly not tempted to try.
I've never purchased the Mood mystery box, but I have purchased one from Fabric Wholesale Direct. Same price as Mood but the fabrics were hugely varied with a mixture of prints, solids, woven and knits and there were no half-yard pieces, although I may have just gotten lucky because their box description does say half-yards to 3-yds.
Thanks for sharing your review of the mystery box! Yes very disappointing and I’m so happy you did an honest review! At least you have a few fabrics you could use for something. 😉😊
Sorry that was not a good box- I cannot think of much I could do with less than 2 yards of fabric. We used to get longer, better pieces of "ends" from the trash bins behind the factories in the garment district in NYC on Friday evenings- some that I still have today.
I am totally agreed with you. I ordered a box as well. And such a disappointment. The selection are either plain horrible color (bright red, orange,) or weird design (naked woman in Yoga posses) NEVER again. As you said "live and learn"
There is definitely a theme with these mystery boxes. If they send you a "nice" fabric it is a piece that is so small you can't do anything with it or if they send any quantity of material it is cheap or just weird. I am sure creative people can use the material, but to me, it is just the company's trash.
I got my mystery box a few days ago and am very happy with it! I posted a video on my channel showing what I got. Feel free to check it out if you want to compare fabrics in the mystery box.
I think you feel disappointed,! You would NEVER spend that money on those fabrics. I have sometimes been tempted to buy a ‘box’ but I would prefer to be in charge of my own choices. I hope mood fabrics are ashamed and reimburse you. I will be watching this space for their response.
Ugh. How disappointing. Dirty, snagged, neutral solids except for the lovely teal. I was dissatisfied just watching and won’t be purchasing one of those boxes! Your fabric picks on the other hand were gorgeous. 👍❤️
Disappointing they should send you at least one or two quality fabrics a good amount of yards. I order one time from fabric wholesale direct and got lots of beautiful fabrics.
Mood should be ashamed of themselves for sending that box. The key word here is "Mystery Box". It's a mystery to you, but not a mystery to Mood. They knew exactly what they were doing sending this mess to a customer. All that fabric should have been a gift because if it was not for "Mystery Boxes" all that fabric would have been trashed and they know it. Your box makes me question buying from them.
Shay, this box made definitely not buying anything from this company. Dirty stained frantic really? If was cotton you could make quilt with little pieces but not clothes. The few pieces that were a yard or two were not something I would have wanted to waste time making a garment out of.
new to your channel, that gauze will make a good supply of cleaning clothes....or to strain raw milk....seems like you got the raw end of the deal...sorry....
Dirty fabric, stained fabric, snagged fabric, and an awful lot of white/cream - I'm disappointed on your behalf, even if it is two years after the fact. The emerald fabric was pretty, but nothing else really floated my boat.
Loved the fabrics you chose but oh my what a contrast in the 50 dollar box. They should be ashamed sending those pieces of fabric out - no excuse for dirty and flawed fabrics! As you mentioned it looks like the dregs from the cutting room floor. It they are going to market boxes like this they need to get their act together & send a variety of plain/coloured material & each piece should be labelled with what the material is & quantity. Shame on them.
What a disappointment! I watched another woman review a Mood mystery box recently, don’t remember her name, and she received several pretty prints and some decent yardage. Sorry.
Looks most look like trash, dirty fabric, with no washing instructions, mostly too small of pieces to make anything. I would never buy from this company.
I'm stunned - you poor thing! As many have said, I cannot believe Mood sent you a box of their floor debris. I order from Mood regularly and have never been disappointed. It bothers me to see that they would do this.
Yeah, thanks for taking the hit for the rest of us! 😂😍
Omg I can't believe they charged 50 dollars for that mystery box!
For that price you'd at least expect to not get dirty and stained stuff
Yeah it makes me not want to support mood at all🙄

I will look into Fabric Mart! Thank you for letting me know
this is after the fact- but the pleather with the chiffon for sleeves would make a cute top or dress

Thanks for making this video because I was contemplating buying a mystery box!

Thank you for this video I just ordered a box and I’m a bit nervous. I surely would not order again if it’s disappointing.

Wow i cannot believe they dare to charge you for that box of dirty leftovers :(
3 years later. How much of the fabric have you used so far?
Sorry that was not a good box- I cannot think of much I could do with less than 2 yards of fabric. We used to get longer, better pieces of "ends" from the trash bins behind the factories in the garment district in NYC on Friday evenings- some that I still have today.
Wow that mystery box is a rip off.

That was an awful fabric bundle. They should at least tell the type of fabric. And it'd be great if they didn't send stained fabric?!
If I were you, I don’t think I would ever purchase a “mystery box” again😜
I loved your collapsible shoulder 12 , can u tell us ur to buy? thanks
Hello! I bought it at The Shop Company
Thanks for the unintentional warning.
Glad I saw your review. I will not be buying that for sure.
I got my mystery box a few days ago and am very happy with it! I posted a video on my channel showing what I got. Feel free to check it out if you want to compare fabrics in the mystery box.
That green looks good up against your face
If I had gotten that box for $50, her I would have been very disappointed, I wouldn't know what to do with most of that.
Nooooooo never again

So sorry I learned a lesson through your misfortune. No mystery boxes for me. I'll take my $50 and choose my own fabrics. Soon as I get $50.Lol!
Disappointing they should send you at least one or two quality fabrics a good amount of yards. I order one time from fabric wholesale direct and got lots of beautiful fabrics.

Not impressed with Mood’s Mystery selections
I’d definitely be feeling disappointed and wouldn’t choose to but any of those dull old dreary colours .... you live and learn eh?
All I see is fabric that no one buys, not much for the quilters

Gosh. What a disappointment. How does this company think they would get repeat orders sending such poor quality material out.
That box was not good.

🙄
Mood employees should be ashamed 🤦🏽♀🤦🏽♀🤦🏽♀🤦🏽♀
Hmmmmmmmm …….. I would NOT be impressed paying $50 for that collection of ‘scraps’ 😢😢
Wow! This is the worst mystery box. They should be ashamed. Sorry that you didn’t get better 😢
After watching this I would never ever buy fabric this way rip off
What a disappointment! I watched another woman review a Mood mystery box recently, don’t remember her name, and she received several pretty prints and some decent yardage. Sorry.
Disappointing fabric box for sure.

Do better, Mood fabrics.
