- Etsy Gift Mode Is here and I decided that I should go ahead and do a tour of it to show people who don't have it what it looks like. Plus, there are probably some things that people who do have it should know, and some of that is things that you can probably stop worrying about.

My sales literally fell off cliff at same time as gift mode roll out. I’m scrambling.

@@nancyhalverson5518 it’s weird. I’ve literally had the slowest 2 or 3 days in over 6 months. Even the way my ad spend has been working is wonky compared to normal. Then, in last hour I’ve had sales to 5 different buyers, like a switch went on. Hope it lasts ha

Thank you for this video, Kara! What do you think about Etsy‘s suggestion to duplicate (!?) listings and create an extra category for gifts? I am a vintage seller without a gift category (so far) ..
If there's only one item I wouldn't duplicate the listing. It gets confusing for people including you, and you're not supposed to duplicate listings unless you can sell both of them if someone comes to buy both. I think Etsy is going to make a lot of money by people paying for multiple listing fees when it would be easier for everyone to just change the code so that we could put a listing in more than one category.
I poked around a bit. I saw lots of cheap imported goods that the seller would laser on "World's Best Dad" or something or another. It's just sad to see so much crap. BTW, I've always liked Drew Barrymore. She was always great on the David Letterman Show.

Will she act as insane as she does with those horrid Bingo Blitz commercials? That’s sure to make people shop on Etsy. Would be nice if they’d work on fixing their site rather than cough up millions of dollars to pay millionaires to pretend they use the site.
She actually makes sense for that.
