Not me being sceptical about this last night. I reached out to a Facebook group I've been for some time, shared my story and store, and I got a sale from someone from the group within an hour. This sale will not make me a millionaire but every sale counts and is success!!
While I'm usually a lurker and rarely comment, I did want to share my thoughts. With that being said, I watched this when it came out and felt like that this method may not work for me, because I feel like I've already used up that resource, especially when I started my business. I was worried it was tapped out. With a big milestone just in my reach, I used this method and not 10 minutes later, I had a sale. It really does work - people genuinely want to see you succeed. Thank you for your content!
So I took your advice and approached a subreddit I have been a member of for a long time. They allowed me to advertise one relevant pre-approved product a week. I listed a teacher shirt and the post blew up! I've made 13 sales so far and it's been about 24 hrs. The listing gained the "Popular Now" badge, it's in 18 baskets so... thanks, Heather!
Thank you, Heather!! I made two sales just a couple hours after executing this. My shop is so new, I haven’t even started marketing yet, but I decided to tell a small group after watching this video. Two of those people purchased something right away! (And I did watch this entire video.)

Great tips. Thank you for sharing. A friendly critique…(Seriously said with the best intentions) I would highly recommend lightening up on the editing techniques. Some transitions and effects can add interest and value for sure, but TOO many and the viewer will either become distracted and frustrated by all of the visual changes or possibly be completely turned off and not even wish to continue watching. I would hate for something like this to happen, as I wish you and your channel all the success. ❤ Not to mention, it would be a lot less work and time spent for whoever is editing. I mean, why make things harder and more complicated, if they don’t need to be? But maybe some people don’t mind it or even love it, idk. Maybe you could take a viewer pole to see how people feel. Because if majority don’t mind, then maybe it wouldn’t be worth it to make changes to the way things are done, if that’s how you really like to do things/have them done. All the best. 😊
Agree so much!! Way over the top I can hardly follow what she’s saying sometimes. And whoever is editing always has typos in text overlays - every video I’ve watched has at least a few - like this one CHOCKING.
The real problem is Etsy itself. Never show small shops.only big old shops. Nobody will go after second page.i lost almost 30 euro for listing fees open shop.the only winner is Etsy itself taking money for nothing. . This is the only truth after a month on Etsy

With that being said...thanks for your usual super-helpful video. I've found with many FB groups they have in their requirements that they don't allow people posting about their store/selling stuff even if it is related to what the group is about, and only want people who are engaged with the topic. The majority of my listings are hobbie/family/pet related, so I feel like I'm not going to make any headway this way which is a bummer. I do have a FB page and IG account for my Etsy store, but have very few followers - not that I post much. Are there still many (any??) FB groups that accept non-spammy posts about Etsy stores that aren't just groups aimed at other Etsy sellers (not anyone's target market for customers I'm sure.).
Method #1: Ask your friends and family to buy from your shop. Method #2: Marketing. My thoughts: Method #1 is face to face selling which I do all the time. Personally, I don’t see any point in enriching Etsy by directing the sales through their platform.
With that being said, it is still a useful segue phrase that can signal a conclusion of sorts. If I am being very verbose and don't want to overuse it, I mix in an "All that being said", of for brevity simply "That said" if I am tired of hearing myself talk. All of the aforementioned being said, I agree, you are the best!!

This question is a little off topic. I've gone through your Crash Course a couple of times and in researching I am finding that many sellers (some best sellers) list several same design products in one listing, example: Short sleeve tee, long sleeve tee, Vneck tee, Youth & Toddler tees, baby bodysuit and sweatshirts all in the same listing. Is this permitted in Etsy? I see where this can save money by posting several products in one 20¢ listing fee. What is your take on doing this?

I joined a facebook group after watching this video and it states in the rules you can post links and someone very rudely comments and tells me self promotion is not allowed. Left that group. Everyone else is self promoting
Yes, this is what I had faced a when I began sharing on FB groups as well that most FB groups have a no spam or soliciting policy which I have always respected- hence why I always asked the admins or I just didn't post. At the 10:30 part of the video, the groups I asked were actually groups that had a strict 'no spam/soliciting policy' that said yes to sharing my products in their groups. I should have noted this further in the video, but the FB group method is best if you are already apart of groups(could be a school, team, etc.) and are a participant. Another work around is starting your own group and promoting it on FB through a FB page and Instagram. I've seen so many groups grow quickly with having meme/gif pages for different niches. Hopefully this helps!
I've tried having flash sales every other day, and no one is buying. Even when I've had 45% off. I've also turned on ads. I don't know if it's because I don't have any reviews yet. I'm having to wait for my friend to get her package overseas before she can post a review for me. I'm sharing on social media. I'm not sure what else to do. The only other thing I haven't done is ask a group to post for me. :/
Same here. I’ve done daily 24-hour sales since opening in Nov, new listings almost daily, fully optimized shop and SEO, posting on SM,… I’ve had some sales, but I think sometimes it can still take a while to get traction!

I'm struggling with patience. I guess I just don't want to be wasting my time and even the small amount I've spent on it so far. Because I have spent and wasted thousands on a small business with a cricut machine.. attempting to do it all myself. I'm hoping this takes off so I can sell all my cricut gear 💗
