bro, are we brothers in secret? we're the same here except fishing, volleyball, driving, etc (mainly football lmao). as an Ambivert myself, I wholeheartedly agree.
Another reason why never having a problem with your messy room means you’re (probably) smarter is because if you experience little to no difficulty with it, you are good at remembering where you put things For example, my room is extremely messy but I know I keep a pencil behind the door, I have a small jar of pompoms and stickers under my desk, I have watercolor pencils in a clothing drawer, etc… (mind that when I say my room is messy, I mean there are piles of junk e v e r y w h e r e… AND I LIKE ACTUALLY CANT SEE THE FLOOR LMAO)
@@bjunsen Mom and cleaning persons are the foe of creativity they even destroy artwork at the blink of an eye and a view swipes. Think a paint covered bathing tub in a museum gotten cleaned.
I would also consider a sink or swim scenario when it comes to first born children. When you think about it the interaction between an eldest and the youngest, the youngest is often catered to more than the eldest was. Often you will have that child requested to entertain the younger child so they got to use their mind a little bit more to try to keep their younger siblings attention. As well more times than I care to say elder siblings tend to adopt more of a parental role, forcing them to mature faster than the younger siblings. I'm the youngest of four. By my time, I would say my mother had more given up and I was catered to very often. It was also the firstborn for my father so I have a mix of firstborn responsibility / expectation and the youngest child's persistent assistance.
I agree, I think it really just matters on the specific child but being an older sister, I definitely had to entertain my brother a lot more and helped out my mom a lot. But this very much caused my brother to retain his childhood and made him a lot more mentally stable than I am because of how much I and my parents helped him.
@Jaclyn Ann VLOGS!💚 One advantage that has come from the illness is that if there are popcorn munchers near you in the cinema, go into a mock coughing fit and they will move elsewhere. This also works to get more space on public transport.
I remember seeing somewhere that speech development in the second, third, etc. children in a family lags a bit behind that of the first born's because the older sibling is able to more or less translate for their younger siblings. I feel like that could also have an impact on their viewed intelligence since the first born has to learn to adapt and develop faster in order to communicate effectively from a younger age than their lil bro or sis.
You do know all the signs are correlated with intelligence, so it doesn’t equal causation. This just means that these signs go along with intelligence, but they do not directly say that you are intelligent. Either way, it’s at the least interesting to know.

Came here for the unhealthy act of trying to find more evidence to prove to myself that I'm not intelligent... immediately caught off-guard that there's a term called "Leaky Sensory Gating." Everyone in my life just tells me to ignore sounds and speech that get on my nerves despite my constant insistence that I can't, and only now do I find out that problem is just a thing people can have.
Well my mission failed. I check off 5/6 categories, and that's only because I had to stop drawing due to a physical handicap I developed. But I still insist I'm not very intelligent.

Hey everyone! I am actually a fairly high functioning Autistic. if you have any trouble with self-esteem about IQ, just know that just because someone may have a very high IQ doesn't make them better than you, nor the other way around. All these things are relevant for me, and I've even adapted string theory into my own. If you'd like to know more, I'll share a SM as long as it's okay with Psych to go.
I have Asperger’s Syndrome a form of Autism that I'm high functioning also on the spectrum as well. But as people on the Spectrum we tend to see the world differently and it's something people don't understand because they don't see how we view the world as we do.
Thank you for this. When I was diagnosed with high-functioning autism relatively late in life, I felt horrible about it and the IQ score I was given at the time. But I'll gladly say now that IQ is nothing more than its own test. It's not how good you are, it's just an abstract score number. So, not necessarily deserving of such credit that one might think. And I've wound up doing a lot more than I thought at that time, simply by not giving such things so much credit that they don't deserve.
Agreed, no one person may be valued over another, and it took me a while to understand why, but now with my own pride out of the way I realize that the only thing that separates the most intelligent man to walk the earth from a uneducated low-life is just a simple knowledge gap
Of course, you're very correct, but I believe IQ changes, because we learn more, and more, as we become smarter, our brain changes its structure, this is why Einsteins brain was shaped different. You should never base yourself off of an iq number, zodiac, whatever the case may be, just be yourself.
From my experience, physical activity is always a good way to clear my head. I'll hit the gym usually 5 to 6 times a week, and sometimes I'll incorporate running or playing sports. Every fall I'll go out hunting, which involves plenty of physical activity. As long as I keep that consistency, I can keep consistency with everything else in my life. That then enables me to think more critically and abstractly when it comes to solving a wide variety of problems. 🤘

I don’t have a swear jar and it was SUUUUUPPPERR RARE for me to swear as a kid. Like, I swore in front of my mom jokingly, got told it was wrong, and never swore again. Occasionally, currently when I get frustrated over me losing a competitive video game, I may swear. Even with my extremely low amount of swearing, my spelling and grammar is still really good.
I just ride my long board across the neighborhood and think. The neighborhood is quiet and the sound of the long board rolling on the road is really satisfying to just think.
Way too many. I’m the oldest, I’m messy, my brain is always going on how I can improve…whatever it is I’m obsessing over at the time. Can I swear? My talents in slinging vocabulary color cannot be squashed by mere stands of polite society. Doodling? I teach it as an important part of generating focus in a class through my arts in education curriculum.
I have almost all of these traits! The only difference is that I'm the baby of the family, although...... I AM the only sibling with both of my parents genetics (I do have 5 older half siblings, though), so I am the eldest in a sense. 🤷♀️
for the first one, i actually do find chewing annoying but i use this power for *E V I L* i find the loudest food in the kitchen(usually a pringles can) then i crunch, not saying anything to my sister
i'm not the oldest child but i relate to the others signs. I'm pretty sure my iq is around 125, but at the same time i honestly don't think that's a good thing. I mean i really don't like to think, but for me it's like breathing, i can't just stop and it even makes me question my own believes. I'm also a lot less funny than the average person and a bit too shy. Rational intelligence only makes you worse than you could be under my personal point of view.
Hello @Psych2Go I was wondering if you had a video on intelligence in people with ADD or ADHD. I am asking because a lot of the traits that are mentioned in the intelligence videos are sometimes mentioned in videos I watch about ADHD, and it can be hard to tell if they go hand-in-hand, or is one affecting the other. Thanks so much! Love your videos.
Intelligence is based on problem-solving skills not on how much knowledge you have. Thats way Crows/Ravens are considered intelligent. They have great problem solving skills
some of my friends dont understand a lot of the words i use just casually- you could say im... very articulant (A phrase i was taught to say at a very young age) i relate to all of these other things very much too, but maybe thats just my ego trying to boost itself even more i am, however, EXTREMELY forgetful, which is a blessing, not a curse
Why do I keep watching these videos just to assume in the end, I'm most likely making myself seem better than I am TvT. They're still nice videos though.
In a place where I used to work, people would take great care not to swear in front of me. That showed just how little they knew of me. I don't like to swear, but if I'm pushed too far, you can bet I... will... have... words!
Intelligence is the ability to process information and solving problems and is often confused with a person's ability to memorise and recall facts. Both important but very different attributes.
Great now everyone that comes across this video will try Thier hardest to relate to the signs so they can justify why they think they are "different and or super intelligent" 🤣
Disorderly, non-swearing, love activity (but like it more with friends), hate chewing (especially on cutlery). The only thing I don't know is the doodling 🤔. Maybe this could help with remembering things..
When I make a rule no one is allowed to start eating until I’ve picked something to watch… cause they chew so loud and it’s so grating. Smacking their lips. Lmao
I like to create my own swears, so I can express frustration without having a foul mouth. This also preserves traditional swears for special occasions, increasing their impact.
I spend pretty much all of my time thinking/contemplating stuffs 🙄 Apparently, most of such thinking are prudential related with my future decisions and alike. The thinking contemplating process also gets philosophical gradually as well, anyway good to know that contemplating/thinking actually has a positive sign and can be deemed as genius.
Well I'll be damned, "MA, I told you I'm a genius!" 😂 Only trait I don't have is being the eldest sibling. But at the same time I acted as the eldest most of my life. I definitely don't think I'm all that smart but I do believe I am very observant and can be emotionally intelligent where most people aren't. I think intelligence varies with different subjects and ways.
"Number 3: You like do Doodle." Me: {bursts into a chuckle} Also, Me: {remembers the mountains-worth of drawings he's done; thumbnails, sketches, illustrations, anything}
1. I hate the sound of chewing only sometimes when I'm doing it and it's too loud. 2. Yes very very often 3. Sometimes depends on my mood 4. I am the youngest but brothers 8 and 10 years older then me and are also very smart, kinda my whole family 5. Yes, cannot deny. I do not clean it ever 6. All the time in my head but out loud I say similar things such as mother fluff or fluffer. I am pretty weird when it comes to speaking and saying all kinda of weird words
I like to think🤔 alone outside😊 no noise, just the trees🌲 swishing and swaying and the birds🕊tweeting to go along🤗 in the background, drawing😍 or reading or mediataion😌 maybe on the beach alone! the waves crashing on the beach, and just to think
1:46 This might not be an intelligence thing, it could also be caused by differences in integrating sensory info. Some peoples brain process only the first part of sensory info, but not the last, leaving them wanting more and more sensory info. This can lead to hyperactivity, pain throughout the body, hyper or hyposensitivity, and etc
I'm the youngest born, but other than that, all the criteria fit me like a glove, 150 percent. the hardest thing is that I have almost no one really to talk to ... About everything, and everything....they see me as weird. because I want to learn how to be self-dependent. and self-tinking about everything, if I opened my mouth, I should write a book
So I wasn’t the best in school and I don’t succeed at many things, but I think it’s only because I don’t put effort into then because I view/viewed them as pointless. Is this a sign, that I’m not intelligent ? I tend to learn things fast (so I’ve been told, not really sure if this is true), but I also tend to lose interest in them pretty quickly after I have a certain level of knowledge about them. This applies the strongest to games, which tend to bore me once i get good at them. And for school/university, I just can’t push myself to do work very often, because I don’t see the point (besides being important for my future in modern society). I just think it’s stupid to grade and value people due to grades, instead of the skills they have in doing what they actually enjoy. Anyway, I wanted to thank you guys for making these videos, they helped me understand some aspects to psychology and social interactions, that always puzzled me.

Don't mind about those people. As long as you don't step on someone and you know you're on the right track, everything will be okay. It's okay to just be yourself. Do you. :)

Just like how I’m an ambivert, I think I strike a nice balance between intellect and social charisma, I love intense cognitive learning/function as well as outdoor activities and sports (I love fishing, volleyball, and driving + racing RCs)
bro, are we brothers in secret? we're the same here except fishing, volleyball, driving, etc (mainly football lmao). as an Ambivert myself, I wholeheartedly agree.
@@oceanicmage bro same i like football mainly too LOL
The lady narrating these videos has the most beautiful voice I’ve ever heard. I could listen to her all day.
Another reason why never having a problem with your messy room means you’re (probably) smarter is because if you experience little to no difficulty with it, you are good at remembering where you put things
For example, my room is extremely messy but I know I keep a pencil behind the door, I have a small jar of pompoms and stickers under my desk, I have watercolor pencils in a clothing drawer, etc…
(mind that when I say my room is messy, I mean there are piles of junk e v e r y w h e r e… AND I LIKE ACTUALLY CANT SEE THE FLOOR LMAO)
lol
Sooo relateble... I haven't seen my floor last 2 years
That's not creativity tho, it's just being lazy and nasty, when they say messy rooms, they don't mean a living trash pile...
PS this was a while ago
My mom made me clean the whole room and now idk where tf anything is 😭
@@bjunsen Mom and cleaning persons are the foe of creativity they even destroy artwork at the blink of an eye and a view swipes.
The chewing sound thing is called misophonia. I have it very severe. Thanks so much for noticing this!
I have it,combined with the bad luck of often getting somebody who buys a bumper carton of popcorn in the cinema, then sits right behind me...

It can be torture can’t it! I have had it from the earliest I can remember! 😕
@Jaclyn Ann VLOGS!💚
One advantage that has come from the illness is that if there are popcorn munchers near you in the cinema, go into a mock coughing fit and they will move elsewhere.
This also works to get more space on public transport.
Ik and its soooo annoying
I remember seeing somewhere that speech development in the second, third, etc. children in a family lags a bit behind that of the first born's because the older sibling is able to more or less translate for their younger siblings. I feel like that could also have an impact on their viewed intelligence since the first born has to learn to adapt and develop faster in order to communicate effectively from a younger age than their lil bro or sis.
interestingly my oldest had a speech disorder while her younger brother started chattering his head off by the time he was 6 months old.
Recently I got really bad grades but after seeing this i really feel intelligent......thank you

although it kinda almost seems that this video glorifies an "unproductive" lifestyle... which idk how to feel about; what really matters and makes your life complete is the perspective you choose to look at things with. its honestly all up to you. if you are secure &content in what YOU believe (as long as its not hurting anyone else) then you are fufilled. nobody has a right to decide for you if your intent isnt malicious.
@Merc Kitsuné what a dumb thing to say. You act like unproductive people never existed before now, and also it is an unfair generalization. Many people work hard to be where they are in school. I don’t get your boomer-like logic.
Came here for the unhealthy act of trying to find more evidence to prove to myself that I'm not intelligent... immediately caught off-guard that there's a term called "Leaky Sensory Gating."
Everyone in my life just tells me to ignore sounds and speech that get on my nerves despite my constant insistence that I can't, and only now do I find out that problem is just a thing people can have.
Well my mission failed. I check off 5/6 categories, and that's only because I had to stop drawing due to a physical handicap I developed. But I still insist I'm not very intelligent.

I would love to be advantaged in some way like this, but i dont see myself being particularily Intelligent. I just tend to dive deeper into topics that peak my interest, so im mostly just a bit knowledgable about certain topics. Interest is really the only thing that gives me the chance to "be smart" and there is only so many things that wake my interest
3 and 4 I don’t fit with but everything else I feel like I completely see myself with.
Your voice is so relaxing... It's mind comforting and reassuring. You're actually smart!
I am too but have a professionally tested cognitive IQ of 136-
Thank you for this.
2:23 Jokes on you I'm an only child!

i'm not the oldest child but i relate to the others signs.
0:35 so true, any room too loud with too much sound output can even make me mad
Intelligence is based on problem-solving skills not on how much knowledge you have. Thats way Crows/Ravens are considered intelligent. They have great problem solving skills
some of my friends dont understand a lot of the words i use just casually- you could say im... very articulant (A phrase i was taught to say at a very young age)
i relate to all of these other things very much too, but maybe thats just my ego trying to boost itself even more
i am, however, EXTREMELY forgetful, which is a blessing, not a curse
Why do I keep watching these videos just to assume in the end, I'm most likely making myself seem better than I am TvT. They're still nice videos though.
In a place where I used to work, people would take great care not to swear in front of me. That showed just how little they knew of me. I don't like to swear, but if I'm pushed too far, you can bet I... will... have... words!
That moment when you're the middle kid but you're the smartest in most subjects-
Intelligence is the ability to process information and solving problems and is often confused with a person's ability to memorise and recall facts. Both important but very different attributes.
Great now everyone that comes across this video will try Thier hardest to relate to the signs so they can justify why they think they are "different and or super intelligent" 🤣

3:34 thank you for reminding me I haven’t cleaned my drawing desk in like, 2+ weeks.
This is so beautiful, I hope everything will be okay. And I hope people will get the justice they deserve because nobody deserves that.
Well I'll be damned, "MA, I told you I'm a genius!" 😂
Only trait I don't have is being the eldest sibling. But at the same time I acted as the eldest most of my life. I definitely don't think I'm all that smart but I do believe I am very observant and can be emotionally intelligent where most people aren't.
The clean room helps me create space in my head to actually get creative
