Ahh, great video, man.
I've been wanting one of these for a good while now, but I couldn't justify the price. (My main use case is for (casual) monitoring thermals on my computers/and cameras). I've seen one of those rugged field phones by BlackView that has FLIR built-in, a bit more expensive but I think might feel a lot better spending $500 on a phone, than $370 on a thermal camera add-on... Decisions, decisions.
Decision, decisions is right. I’m amazed at how many thermal camera options exist. I was limited because I wanted one that records video. I ended up contacting FLIR for suggestions because searching online for one that would meet my needs was futile.

Great idea! I'm not into beekeeping myself but I do find it interesting. I get my fix by watching others do it on RUclips.
Check out dotty hot or not on TestFlight iOS. Demo every 7 days requires a new request but I’m testing for a work application and only have FLIR gen 2 light gray variant. Temps checking through about 100 people we’re working about +/- 2 degrees to a gun style secondary check.
I would like to use it to find moles in my yard. I am guessing i could get up early and look at the tunnels. A hot spot would be a mole location.
Did you have to charge it initially, or did it come out the box ready for use? How long does it take for a full charge?
