Very nice conversion, but I have a couple of suggestions. 1 you should make some kind of rigid lockable cover for your propane tank and your battery , batteries should not be exposed to the elements because moister will drain your battery and a lockable cover will deter theft.2 it might be a good idea to get yourself a small portable cassette toilet they are easy to use and they can be stored under any cabinet plus they are not very expensive ,look on line for the different models, and price ranges. This will help if you have inclement weather, also will be safer for you at night. That is all I can think of ,so good luck ,have fun and may the Lord bless you .
Back in the 80"s my mom bought an old pop up camper whose canvas tent was rotted. On an old singer sewing machine, she made, by hand, a new canvas tent complete with screen windows, metal zipper flaps, triple seams throughout. I would go to see her and find her buried in the midst of a mountain of heavy canvas and that old machine going whirr-whirr-whirr. She sanded and painted the wooden box portion too. She was amazingly creative. Your camper is adorable and you and your dad did a great job on it.
This camper conversion was a pure joy to see. The best way to tell you how much I like what you've done is to say that I wouldn't change anything about it. You and you dad deserve a ton of praise!
This by far the Best conversion from a pop up I've seen. Absolutely enjoyed watching it. Love the inside just a total master piece. Would be so cool if you documented beginning to end this build. Nice job

Amazing! I love it! It is definetly a master piece! It's obvious your father is very gifted. Such beautiful work. I have a 1996 Coleman pop up trailer that I purchased a few months ago. It had no refrigerator, , toilet, or sink.. I have purchased a dorm room refrigerator, a porta potty for my wife, a free used propane grill from the curb that I cut down to a double burner grill instead of the 4 burner. It looks so cute being miniturized😂. I added two small pneumatic tires on one end of the grill and a handle on the opposite end to lift and pull it around easily. I have a propane hose so it can be used indoor if raining or outside when no rain. We love being able to use it either way. I just got in my miniture stainless steel sink that Im going to add to one end miniture BBQ pit so they will stay together as a unit. . My wife prefers them outside of the popup on nice days so we have more room inside. Our porta potty has its own tent for when we put it outside of the trailer. We just got finished rebuilding the roof. Man was that a job😒 but that repair is now completed. Our pop up was gutted when we bought it. I'm retired now so this has been the project I do when its time to get away from the TV😆. Nice job! I did something similar to the pop up camper that I acquired for free. It was the perfect setup for 2×2 stud walls to fill in where the canvas was. I kept the rear pull out and made solid foam walls for it. Happy camping!
Trying to figure out how the foam walls work when you take it on the road. We have a pop-up we need to do something with. Weekend camping trips are almost too short for all the trouble of a pop-up
I love what you & your father have done with your vintage Coleman! Absolutely 💯 functional, homey & much more secure than fabric pop ups. As a female who loves vintage Rv’s & campers this is the best pop up conversion & remodel I’ve ever seen. I’ve had several pop ups & my favorite was the 1972 Hard Side Apache Ramada which like yours was much more secure than canvas sides & that’s important to me. The only things I could respectfully suggest to you would be getting a cassette toilet or something similar to have inside so you don’t need to go outside at night. It’s not nearly as safe as it used to be camping as we all know. You could also put a little cover & cushion on it & have a little chair when not in use 😊I always carry several different types of personal protection..ya never know 😐 I also have a couple of cameras on the outside of my Rv trained on the doors & windows. You can pick up this stuff very reasonably. Beautiful Work, I’m Subscribing & Look Forward To More Camping & Camper Videos!! Thank You!!
With my family we used to have a Star Craft pop up camper while we were camping. It was really fun in camping. Only one summer we went camping almost the entire summer. I was 6 years old going on 7 years old during the summer that my family did that. We did take our first cat camping with us. That cat wanted to go outside a lot. He was a pain while we were camping. He always came back to the site. My dad boarded him at this kennel in the town that my grandmother lived in so we went camping in Minnesota with my grandmother. She stayed in the van during that trip. This was her 2nd time in camping with us. It was fun with her. She was my father’s mother. I think that my other grandmother won’t handle camping. My father sold it towards a friend’s daughter with her family to enjoy camping in it. My last memory of sleeping in the camper was during the summer of 1990 just overnight. We didn’t take our 2nd cat camping with us. He would have been good in camping. He would’ve stayed very close to the camper and even slept with me or my sister.
This is such a sweet little space you and your dad have made. I love the ingenuity involved. Great job! I’m part of a group called “Girl Camper,” you should check this group out. We have so much fun! Women get together and tow their RV’s. We enjoy going all over the states seeing the sights!
Wonderful build. This personifies practical planning on a budget combined with a little bit of hard work. Anyone saying they can’t afford a camper should refer to this video. Roll up your sleeves, above all take your time, and you can have something great like this.
Absolutely loved it! So kind of Dad to lend a hand! And I like that cute bubble window too, so Cool! Only thing is, I guess I'd buy a cassette potty. PERFECT. 👍♥️☺️
You should ask your dad to put blinds on the windows for added security. Also a better door lock on the inside, again for security. Inside small solar generator for back up use. You both did a good job, looks good.
I love your style, absolutely adorable. The idea of converting to a hard shell was a great idea. You're going to have a blast. So many memories will be made. Wondering what happens in the middle of the night with no private potty? Yikes. You have planned plenty of spare space under the bed. Lots of ideas out there. Best of blessings to you.
Hell yeah!nice! props to you and your dad. You can tell you and your dad are close I raised both my daughters on my own and we’re all very close I cherish every moment I hope y’all get many more 😎
I have a pop up camper but the canvas is wore out , and I never would of thought about doing this. That's a cool idea. I think I'm gonna have to get my old pop up out and give it an overhaul. Thanks for sharing .
It's cool to see that you've done one as well. I couldn't find much information on people doing this while I was doing it. I just completed one as well, got a 7x9, I built mine pretty heavy with a lot of windows. It's coming with me up to British Columbia sometime this next year, might post a video on it myself. You did great work!
Looks like something my daughter and I would do! Glad you have the same relationship with your dad as I have with my daughter ❤️. Fantastic build! Happy travels my friend 😊
The vinyl stone piece is awesome! In the 60’s in upstate NY there were SO MANY houses that had stone foundations. This looks just like them! Just goes to prove what we say in the Zentangle world: there are no mistakes; only opportunities!
This is a very clever conversion of an old popup. About 15yrs ago, I also had an old Coleman popup that was in fantastically great refurbished condition when a drunk driver ran into the back of me when I was stopped at a stop light. The camper was a total loss, but the memories of that trailer are keepers! One thing I suggest to all singles road traveling is that you get a dog. Extra security and a built-in alarm if not a fierce protector. They’ll let you know if someone is near your camper. Another thing I’d suggest are some motion lights around the outside. I installed some led motion lights with simple 3M tape, so they can be removed without leaving holes in the side. They are wonderful and hands-free.
That is the cutest little cozy camper!! I hope you enjoy it for many years and make lots of good memories and the one especially with you and your dad building it! A priceless memory itself! You are blessed to have a father spend such valuable time with you. Happy trails! ❤
Wow girl that is an awesome setup you have there. But cherish the time with your dad when you build it. That’s more important than any camper in the world. You both did a wonderful job and you decorated it perfect for you. It definitely does reflect your soul.
Yes,please do a part 2. If you don't mind telling us,how much did the conversion cost? Where have you taken your camper thus far? What do you use to pull your camper?
I own a Coleman pop-up trailer, from 1986 and it’s in great condition. This is very impressive work great job! All I’m doing to mine is adding new vinyl plank flooring that looks like wood and painting the old wood base bench seating a different color and going to use a plastic laminate film on the countertops to look like marble.
So cool ! I love it, & such a great job designing it. Love the Lil windows & the Lil yellow & white curtains😁 only thing wasn't mentioned was a Lil potty, but I'm sure that's private. That corner cabinet was a lucky find! Medicine cabinet was neat idea. Can't wait to see the building & the walls how they were done. Thanks for sharing, I know your proud ☺️👍
So cute, I LOVE the tiny bubble window, haha. It's perfect! You seem so sweet and down to earth, thanks for skipping the unnecessary overly loud music that can sometimes ruin a great video. I appreciate the simplicity, new sub!!
Wowza, you both sure did make a great team getting this little cutie together. I’m sure your ideas 💡 & hard work mixed with your Dad’s skill. What awesome memories you created….just adorable. So many fun details. 💕
What a lovely tiny home! Great father and daughter project, lucky you to have such a skilled father. I think the plastic rock face looks fabulous and breaks up the visual monotony. Nice touch. Inside is clean and cozy, lovely! Parking it, is one thing. Traveling with this is another whole dimension. Some suggestions; 1. Your propane tank and battery bank must have a lockable metal housing. Protect from theft, rocks on the road, moisture, overheating from sun, or too cold from weather, and rust prevention. Keep them in a ventilated, locked steel cabinet, with some insulation too. 2. Build some overhead cabinets inside. Nothing can be dangling from walls like the pans, wire baskets, etc. The bounce on a trailer is high, and stuff will come flying out of open crates, wire cages, and pans will clatter on the wall. Tuck it all away. 3. Wasted space under bed - make longer drawers and don't use crates. They should be solid wood, no gaps. This can let in mice, moisture, dust. You don't want mice droppings in your clothes. Make long drawers that go all the way back on long extensions. Make wood trays that sit on top of your plumbing area. 4. A composting toilet is a must have. No toilet, no travel. Getting out at night to find a place to pee is a very bad idea. The Trelino runs $300 - $500. Copy it. Make your own. Get a bin and put your #2 baggies in it. #1 liquids go in a jug and dumped at any rest stop. 5. Get a Travel Berkey as your water filter. Get the white Fluoride/Arsenic filters as well as the standard black carbon filters. This will remove any arsenic and fluoride in tap water, as well as chlorine, chemicals, bacteria. Cheapest water solution. Do not drink from your water tank, carry separate refillable 1 gal water bottles, refill from tap, then pour into Berkey. Don't compromise on this. Don't install a pricey filtration system. Berkey is the cheapest and best. 6. Why do you have battery powered lights on outside? Use only solar powered lights outside. Each solar light runs $5-$10, and has its own solar panel. You mount it, and clean the solar panel with vinegar once a month to keep scale down. If it dies on you at some point, change the rechargeable battery inside for an endless life. Solar lights are good for years. 7. 4:57 - Water tank needs an extra large access hatch on top for cleaning. Add large baffle balls in it so you don't get sway from that water sloshing around inside. See Humble Road videos to know how. 8. Be aware that propane heating/furnace creates condensation inside the trailer. Cheap Chinese $200 Diesel heaters (Amazon) will keep you very warm with no moisture inside. They come with a slim tank too.

That’s remarkable! That’s the tiniest house I’ve seen that actually appears spacious.
Looks like something my daughter and I would do! Glad you have the same relationship with your dad as I have with my daughter ❤️. Fantastic build! Happy travels my friend 😊
that’s so sweet. thank you 💗
The vinyl stone piece is awesome! In the 60’s in upstate NY there were SO MANY houses that had stone foundations. This looks just like them!
Just goes to prove what we say in the Zentangle world: there are no mistakes; only opportunities!
what an awesome little camper, you and your Dad did great job, thank you for sharing, and enjoy the great outdoors!
definitely 💛 thank you so much
@@caitlynbritten You’re welcome. ☺️
Wow girl that is an awesome setup you have there. But cherish the time with your dad when you build it. That’s more important than any camper in the world. You both did a wonderful job and you decorated it perfect for you. It definitely does reflect your soul.
It's absolutely astounding what you've done with that space! Congratulations!
This is quite possibly the cutest camper I’ve ever seen! ♥️ Nicely done!
Beautiful job of restoring this adorable little camper into a hard side camper. Love the work and the look of it! Great job!
GREAT JOB AND BRILLANT !
Wowza, you both sure did make a great team getting this little cutie together. I’m sure your ideas 💡 & hard work mixed with your Dad’s skill. What awesome memories you created….just adorable. So many fun details. 💕
what a thoughtful comment, thank you 💗
Awesome trailer rebuild! I really like the repurposing of items/materials & use of space. Thank you for taking the time to share your trailer.
This is adorable 🥰. Y'all did an amazing job. The fact that you got to do this with your dad makes my heart so happy.
Precious lil cabin and your Dad is a wonderful man to work this project with you!!!
🧡🧡🧡
Pretty cool! You guys did a nice job. Cozy, compact, comfortable.
thanks! :)
What a lovely tiny home! Great father and daughter project, lucky you to have such a skilled father. I think the plastic rock face looks fabulous and breaks up the visual monotony. Nice touch. Inside is clean and cozy, lovely!
Parking it, is one thing. Traveling with this is another whole dimension. Some suggestions;
It’s really cute! I would personally want a wood interior door 🚪 to feel safer when sleeping. That’s just a personal preference.
I could totally live in that...for at least 2 days..
So cute! Never see this done before. I love projects which "take off" from the original with such imagination.
What an adorable little home on wheels. You and your dad did a great job. Enjoy your travels!
