It's all about freedom. Getting the time to do what you want to do, go where you want to go & not being tied down paying rent & bills. You only live once, go for it... 🙂
I LOVE THIS! When I first became aware of tiny homes/campers, people were making them out of whatever they could find. They were so wonderful! Then commercialism came in making all these homes for people....& don't get me wrong, they're beautiful, but there is just something special about something (especially a home) that is made over time by the person living in it. I just really appreciate the time, effort, & learning involved in the process. Awesome job!
Proves that you build to suit you, not someone else. Make it as tall as you need, put storage where you need it. Doesn't have to look pretty, just has to work. Nothing beats the pride of, "I made this!". As viewers we have to keep in mind that these folks are showing us a part of their lives that can be quite personal. We sometimes forget that this is someone's home so we are blessed to have these opportunities. It would be like having a guest to our homes and showing them our top drawer of our dresser. By having folks like these opening up their world to us we get to see a different potential for ourselves. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride!
i likethis guy.. i love his camper home.. he's a real self-reliant man.. totally happy and satisfied living simple independent guy... he's just one of the very few guy of the breed.

Yeah. There’s a guy here in town by the post office, must be a buddies house, he seems to crash there every few months. He’s got a custom made box on the back of his Dodge. Looks very freeing. I’m recently divorced. Always been kind of an anchored nomad. Deer hunt during the fall out of my trailer or truck. Starting to do that more. Working on a plan for two trailer frames. Will probably build one as a concept and sell, then use what I make to build the other one off of the learning from the first. Get my F350 all figured out. Reactivate my Generals license, and maybe go per diem in EMS. I love being a medic, when I actually get to use my training, but even with my, very open schedule, 2 on 5 off, if I could get thing paid off, which I’m getting done, I could have so much more freedom.
Seen this a few times, it is great to see what he has done in such a small space. His ideas and use of space are great. Fun to see the changes that he's done and the ideas he still has for new additions. It's like his mind is always working on newer ways to change or add on for the better. Most people that work in construction and carpentry have great handywork and craftmanship ideas. To both of you continue your good works and ideas. Safe travels.
Keith...You should be very proud of your trailer/camper. You did an excellent job in the design & construction. I hope you enjoy every day of your life and that good things happen for you. U.S. Army, Ret. Texas
Thank you for showing a real full timer and they're build. It is so rare that we get to see some real full timers with real rigs. So much phony nomadic stuff on RUclips. I also liked the fact that it's someone in the woods in the colder weather like me.
I bought a 75 jayco song bird and re framed the entire interior with pallet wood and added 3/4 inch insulation and have lived in it in -30 temps in Minnesota I for one can tell you it is way harder to work with the song bird dimensions then it would be to build one from scratch. Thanks guys gets me thinking of my next home build on wheels
Living in a camper is an interesting experience with green environment at your backyard. The smell of nature is circling around you endlessly. Even though I intend to fit into this kind of existence, I still cannot ponder a way to have this sort of home. I envy those who can afford this simple luxury for enjoyment.
Thank you ALL so much for 1 million views! My first video over a million with many more to come! You rock 👊 now share it with a friend and let's get to 2 milly!!
I really like the video. I started out with the idea of building my camper on an old boat trailer but someone gave me a 16-foot camper that needed a whole lot of TLC and I went that route instead. I do know what it's like to get a plan in your head and a year later change it. I thought Keith's camper was custom and he definitely gave me some great ideas for my next changes.
Very inspiring, I’m thinking about building me one of those little house trailers. I can’t wait to start. Being in the outdoors is so relaxing and fun. Keep on camping.
I really like this comfortable, cosy travel cabin, whose practicality and utilitarian fit out is really well considered! As the resident builder, if you can think it, you can build it, and that's a good way to test out future modifications, improvements and upgrades. I think I'd be happier sealing the gaps in the walls and improving insulation. A Fatsco Pet Stove, Model 450 (9.5" High x 6" Diameter) would be perfect in there, and burns wood, charcoal briquettes and coal, giving a good dry heat.
If you put a small fan above your doorway, it will help circulate the air, so when you have your heater on it will move the air so it doesn't all stay hot at head height and in the summer it will help move the air around, but because it will be a small fan it won't make the air cool to cold like air conditioning does. I know you already have a fan but if you put another one up near the roof and have both going it will move the air better.
I'd love to see an update when he gets the loft in. I also would love to see the bed pop-out demonstrated, not sure I quite understood what that was. A really fun build!
With all the terrible shit happening in Portland, Salem, & Bend its wonderful to see and hear something nice happening in oregon. For the heat thing why not find little fans to mount in the ceiling to push the heat down in the winter months. You can get them where they can run off very little 12v and some have light in it to....... My husband and I work on campers but we agree we want to make one for ourselves! One that will withstand travel unlike a factory made.

Some time simply built is the best. Even better-finding scraps and salvage items to a built trailer that you enjoy is Great!
Probably while its been taking so long 😂
Oh my goodness I love this, this guy should be hired by major camper makers
Finally a trailer that looks lived in and not a show piece. But boy does it looked lived in. He uses every inch. Love the window.
Use rubber stripping around front window, not felt. Keep drafts & water out... (80 year old house...lol.)
IDK why but this video just calmed me so much, the rustic feel of the house and Keiths voice was oddly soothing.
