@crufts would love to see a judges interview after the group judging is done and posted on RUclips! Would be interested to hear what they thought about their short list and winner.
Truly enjoy the commentary from Frank Cane.
Love the Crufts dog show… looking forward to watching it every year.

I understand they deserve it, but I wish Crufts wouldn't put the winner in the thumbnails! I truly get a kick out of the suspense of the shortlist then the final winner, and the thumbnail spoils that.

The Rottweiler is appalling! His head to muzzle ratio was more like 2/5 than 2/3s and his head shape was rectangular/ovular rather than square and the top line of the muzzle dips. They aren’t supposed to have a tucked up flank which this one doesn’t but there is no definition between the chest and abdomen, the depth of the chest is well over 50% of the shoulder. Fantasa have bred some absolutely wonderful dogs in the past but they’re following the trending look instead of the traditional look, I feel like they were picked to represent because of popularity and not for the best example of the standard.

That Rottweiler looks like it was crossed with a boxer. Who the hell judged those Rottweilers, an exotic bully breeder?! Working rottie folks need to reclaim their breed in the show ring, this is an embarrassment… So many terribly built dogs here, the audacity to call them “working”! If we agree that slicing a puppy’s ears up and causing them a lifetime of discomfort just for looks isn’t okay, why don’t we agree that breeding their noses back into their foreheads causing them discomfort and health complications isn’t okay? Couple more decades of this being allowed and half the breeds on earth will look like frenchies.

@@Memow-pk1ng That’s actually just what the Dobermann dog looks like in its European homeland - I recall they are even stacked and photographed differently. Euro dobes still have a standard that reflects a working dog, not just prance around at the end of a chain in someone's tiny yard. The American doberman is bred to look more like a pharaoh hound and act more like a greyhound than a real working dog. it’s embarrassing enough to use a proud working dog as a suburban accessory to make yourself seem cooler on instagram, but it says a lot about doberman owners over here when they’re not willing to train the dog and give it a reason to live with a sport, but they’ll pay hundreds to have a little 3 month old puppy's ears sliced up causing permanent pain. Nah, I prefer this sturdy natty dobe

No one gonna talk about that Tibetan mastiff? Just spectacular! And I'm glad they kept the floppy ears and long tail on the Doberman, these things should be normalized. That Rottie was just disappointing though, I think the breed should go back to their traditional look, not this heavy, painful, short-faced 'trendy' one.

These classifications are just bonkers. They make no sense at all. Some of these are herding dogs and should be in the pastoral section. Some from the pastoral section have become so far removed from any herding instincts and should be in this working group. Just nuts, whoever categorised these breeds needs to seriously rethink such seemingly mindless classifications. Clearly they have never tried to work sheep with a GSD. Utterly bloody useless, with no stock sense at all. Fine working for police and military, not fine for herding.
