Nice video! Just recently bought an Axum as project bike and enjoying it so far. Was planning to pop open the BB to check the grease and bearings b/c I've heard a few horror stories of the condition from the factory. I used to tear down my old Rockhopper yearly, so my confidence was high. I decided to practice on an old Schwinn Ranger that we had that had never been torn down/rebuilt to try out some new tools. Took it apart with zero issues, shockingly. Confidence was still very high. Went to reassemble and the threads on the drive side were shot. No idea why. I never crossthreaded it and they were shot as hell. Now I'm second guessing my skills. :O I bought a threadless BB to rebuild the Ranger as a backup bike for my son. No way I'm paying to have a Ranger retapped.

The cap/bolt at the end of the axle is the preload bolt, tightening it down all the way will result in bearing overload and premature wear!
what crankpuller size did you use ?
what pedals do you have?
The OneUp composite pedals.
Shoes by?
They are five ten free ride pros. Decent MTB shoes.
The Axum doesn't have a master link, you'll need a chain breaker.
Mine did. The chain is kmc and so is masterlink
@@ryanpeters795 huh. I'll look on mine. I might've just got lucky. Thanks for the info
This bike that I purchased in 21 did though I hear parts change sometimes based on availability.
