Unsealed square taper bottom brackets suck even more than cartridge square tapers bb's.

The bottom bracket on mine started to make noises on my second ride. I tried to use the crank removal tool that I have in my bike too set but I don't the correct one and strip threaded the crank. I'm just taking it to my LBS and have them take it out so I can put the IXF crankset on it. Now I know why these bikes are sold at these price points. Thanks for the vid.

I'm new in the bicycle world, most of my experience comes from motorcycles, recently purchased a schwinn bicycle and the bearings on the bottom case are toasted. So your video was great. Thanks.

I used an IXF crankset with a 122mm spindle, the Schwinn Axum one is 127mm. The short spindle with a spacer on the drive side only allowed the left crank 1/2 way on. Even without the spacer the threads on the M19 bolt, on the left side, did not reach the spindle threads, it was 2mm better but not ideal. I made the setup work, but it isn't right.

@@MTBAlex I used a large screw driver and hammered it between the crank and the BB. Popped off on the 3rd whack of the hammer. Same thing happened to me a year ago and I used a standard two arm wheel puller to finish the job. I was at my son's house and didn't have my wheel puller so I went with the screw driver.

I actually bought 3 of these sets. 2 were used on 2 different bikes, 1 is still new and I sold the black axum, that set is put away for now.
The one that has been used the most, is on my blue axum, probably the one in this video. Almost 2 years, zero issues. I'll buy them again in a heartbeat

Ok, I just have some questions:
      1) About the crank set you bought from AliExpress, is it 170mm 3 degrees 32 T or 6 degrees 32T?
      2) At 5:14, the socket you used is a 16 notches or 24 notches or whatever?
      3) Did you add one space on the gear (right) side, correct?
      Thanks.
