It’s more honest that lying and cheating, and everyone knows what they’re getting into. They’re not preying on anyone, all grown adults. Understand it or not, like it or not, to each his own
Not for me, but I admit the idea of having another one or two adults to help share household duties & expenses is appealing.

Ok, this is not PC. There is a trend here: people willing to share for a chunk of acceptance, to find a kind of romance and love they otherwise have not found. Also, they are nerds, notice anybody?
I would love to see how many of these “relationships” are still working! I would love to see interviews with these people now to see if they still feel the same. There seems to be atleast one person with deeply low self esteem and insecurities in each of these relationships.
I know a few couples who are 13+ years in, one 20+ when people choose to do life with someone it’s looks different for everyone. Through it all is what the vows say 😂🤷🏿♀️

If they’re born into it there’s nothing to discuss. It’s part of their life. Those are their parents.
If they’re going into it with a parent(s) the parents just need to be open honest and be open to their children(s) questions and feedback.
It's really pretty simple, though age appropriate answers, of course. "Kids, this is Dad's special friend". Kids just want to be loved and happy. My teenager needed to know that everyone was consenting, safe, and happy. It was a great opportunity to talk about consent and boundaries.
