    Good video, but a few corrections:
    * Though Samsung first announced Circle to Search, it was released on the Pixel on the same day, namely on January 31 (the release date of the Samsung S24).
    * The Pixel 8 Pro charges in 1 hour and 36 mins, so not over 2 hours (if you have the 30W charger that you talk about).
    Also, you say facial-recognition works better on the iPhone and the fingerprint sensor is faster on the S24U. Fair, but you should also mention that the Pixel 8 Pro achieves secure face unlock with a WAY smaller cutout than the iPhone and also offers an alternative with the fingerprint sensor. E.g. on the iPhone you have to pick up your phone from your desk to unlock it, on the Pixel you can just put your finger on it. Now, the S24U also has secure face unlock. I'm glad to hear that the Pixel 9 Pro (coming in a few weeks) will also have a ultrasonic fingerprint sensor .

    I have been using Google Pixel 8 pro for more or less four months. The things that I hate about this phone are the overheating issues and the extremely slow charging, but altogether it's a great phone. I have never seen any lag, it has always been fast and smooth, and its display and photographic compartment are top. I am aware that it can't be compared to phones like Samsung s24 ultra or Iphone 15 pro max, but we should also consider that it is cheaper: at this moment, on Amazon it costs 699 euros! There is no way that Samsung s24 ultra and especially Iphone 15 pro max will have this price, surely not in the next future.
    I don't think my next phone will be a Pixel, but in the last two years I lost track of how many phones I had, and if there is something that I learned is that perfection doesn't exist, there will always be something we'll complain about.

      Yeah the over heating is everything to me. Just kills the experience although I find everything else about it is fantastic.

    • @RUmlas
      @RUmlas 4 месяца назад

      @@gregjefferson8112 I had the P8P since launch with the fast-charging brick too. And recently, it has been charging slower than usual. Not sure if I have to look back at the battery settings but it all seems the same and not sure why the charge times are slower now.

    • @barteczekz
      @barteczekz 4 месяца назад

      @@RUmlas This is something I wanted to comment about. This issue started sometime around April and is related to some PD/fast chargers (e.g., Anker). What happens is the charging current (mAh) is jumping every few seconds from zero to max and this means that it isn't charging every few seconds! You can check this either by using an app like ChargeMeter or by going to battery setting where it will say "connected not charging". I can't find the pattern which chargers work and which don't (sadly Apple one work). I'm surprised that this issue is not talked about at all.

    Pixel 8 Pro owner here. circle 2 search was available since launch of the phone, also face id is not useable when it gets a bit darker compaired to iphone where it works in complete darkness. also the phone gets extremly hot by very light useages to thr point i cant hold it anymore in my hand. i never game on the 8pro because of that reason. also there are alot of features that are region related. you can use some features in the US you cant do in Europe for example. Also when i record a video and move the camera not very slowly there are very weird ghosting frames i dont know how to explaine it looks as if there are some frames wobbeling around or missing

    My fingerprint sensor has been flawless on the P8P, coming from a samsung z fold 5. I do also use facial recognition on the P8P since it has the same security certificate as the iPhone face id, for payment and other login stuff. The facial recognition on the P8P usually beats my fingerprint unlock anyway. This was something I missed on the newer Samsung devices since the facial recognition does not have the same security certification.

    I'm enjoying my Pixel 8 Pro and luckily didn't have major issues. It's better than my Pixel 6 for heating issues. I even filmed an entire Air show in near 100F weather albeit in super battery saver mode to compensate for the temps and duration. Gaming is fun and dunno why I've had good luck so far including mostly with my Pixel 6, except for filming in 4k where it got hot after a bit, I'm lucky and recognize that's validity to your statements on the phone. 🍻 great video!

    I sincerely hope with the 9 Pro they add 45w charging and it looks like they're going to get an Ultrasonic sensor. I love the flexibility and various modes that the Galaxy has, but low light and motion photos for the Galaxy is so far behind the Pixel experience. I also wish that Google would add Dolby Atmos because that has become my favorite Galaxy feature by far. I imagine I'll snag a Pixel 9 Pro or a Fold if the cameras are the same as the Pro. My tiny hands didn't love the Pixel 8 Pro because of it's size, but with a smaller one coming, it might be perfect.

      @@passivevii4052 I considerd the S24+, but i wont pay full price for a shitty exynos here in germany. S24U is too big/heavy and the OP12 is probably fine, but i wanted something else (i had the Oneplus 7 Pro for 4,5years), since they kinda lost their identity.
      Iphone is not all perfect, i hate the keyboard for example, but its an crazy good phone to be honest.
      I also think the iPhone will hold many years, i also got an 7 year old iPad Pro 10.5" which is still on the newest iPad OS and works just fine 😅

      Nah, it's just fine if you get it on sale. Not the best package, but the pictures are amazing.

      You need to get it on sales. No one should stupidly buy it at the RRP

    Battery life is bad on 5G connection. 4G or 5G connection keeps disconnecting. Quality control is bad on Google Phones some phone’s are faulty.

    Got the pixel 6 at launch and worst device ever…at the time. I ended up returning it within my 2 weeks due to bug issues. But loved the sea foam color. But I would definitely try the pixel again though.

    Speak on it. Google Pixel is the most overhyped phone on the planet and US consumers are the worst culprit for it but it goes without saying they've slowly become a little Winnie bit more popular

    My biggest issue with the camera is the edge distortion. Theres soooo much of it on the main camera. At least on the minimum focal distance
