I do think it's a coinflip if people are willing to shell out 60 for a game they've already played, and likely emulated if they wanted to play it again the last 10 years.

I love how the paper aesthetic is a bit more subdued for the remake. The recent ones have used a paper aesthetic as a cornerstone for most of its jokes and plot, even though it wasn't originally. The major theme of 64 and TTYD's visuals and environments is that they're pop ups, storybooks. They should have the appearance of paper but less of the paper mache stuff, more like cardstock and other materials used in a pop up book. People will be excited to enjoy a Paper Mario game that leans into telling a story first, implementing paper elements second.

You mean to say that the footage is 30 FPS, and it remains unconfirmed if it will retain 60 FPS. I see no reason why it wouldn't remain 60 FPS on switch.
@@joeykeilholz925 No, they showed other 60 FPS or at least more fluid things in the Direct (Super Mario RPG remake for example). Maybe they'll hit 60, but it strikes me more like they focused more on eye candy and reduced the frame rate, much like Kirby Star Allies.

I mean remakes are good but really nowadays we just want now games. Most people have access to these games already. I mostly refer to Luigi's Mansion 2 HD. Same game. Nothing new. Absolutely NO new content. Just in a slightly better resolution. Absolute waste of time unless its a really, really old game. But even at that. We need some new content to go with it. Mario RPG is a remake done good. Complete overhaul of visuals. Just too many remakes that are pretty much scamming people of money and we keep buying into it all.
Yeah, cause "most people" definitely have access to playing Thousand Year Door despite only selling barely 2 Million Copies on one of Nintendo's Worst Selling Consoles Ever...

Well since I don't have access to my old copy I would have to shell out $150+ on Amazon to get another copy.TTYD is not easily accessible nowadays unless you were someone who kept all your old games.
I didn't because I wanted a next gen system back then and sold all my games to get it.
