@kennymichaelalanya7134 People have been asking for a remake of this game for a long time now. It's wildly considered one of, if not THE best, Paper Mario game in the series. Especially with Sticker Star through Origami King being considered the weaker ones in the lineup of Paper Mario games. Due to them not having the good character designs, whitey dialogue, good combat system, and a bland story. So that's why everyone is hyped for this remake. @tessaPMpro it killed the creativity and character development lol Have you watched his sticks it to sticker star series? It's actually good and informative at times
@Saybled I played the game myself, when it came out in fact and before that, I had been following the game since there were only a few screenshots of it back in 2010. I agree with most of his criticisms with the game and that it is the worst Paper Mario game, but he takes his hate way too far to the point where it becomes his entire personality, that's when he becomes cringy and insufferable. His series criticising the game is good, what I have a problem with is when he brings up his hate for Sticker Star/modern Paper Mario at any opportunity he gets even when it's completely irrelevant.
@tessaPMpro In fairness to him, the old Mario RPG games are some of his favorite games, PERIOD. In contrast, a truly good Mario RPG hasn't come out for almost a decade. To suddenly have the best two get remakes within a few months definitely makes those games look worse in comparison.
@JetZV same here, the first two Paper Mario games are literally my two favourite games ever and I still play both regularly (hence the "PM pro" in my username, meaning "Paper Mario pro" since I challenge run both games regularly) and have played them both more than most people (chuggaa included) likely ever will. I had been following and hyping up Sticker Star since the beginning, back in 2010 when the game didn't have an actual name yet (people just referred to it as "Paper Mario 3DS") and all that was known about the game were just a few screenshots. I hyped the game up so much, got it on release day, beat it within the first week and was massively disappointed so I had a similar experience that chuggaa did and I get where he is coming from but he just takes his hate to another level, basically letting the game live rent-free in his head. I still remember that time where he seriously compared the current state of Paper Mario to an abusive relationship in a completely tone-deaf tweet, like you have got to be kidding me it's a fucking video game, chuggaa is a very good-hearted and nice person but goddamn he needs a reality check sometimes.
Chugga’s was probably the best considering his ‘Sticks it to sticker star’ series is mostly pointing out the flaws in modern Paper Mario and how he’s grown up with this kind of Paper Mario.
@@seankim8908 nah, mate. Would have been better for his sanity had he not bought it at all, but we can't change the past, we can only look forward to the bright future. Besides... negative reviews like the Chugga Sticks it to Sticker Star series can be fun.
I didn’t cry the first time during the direct, but every time I watch a reaction video for this, I start sobbing. Thank you all for feeling the same way about my favorite game
Something major to consider if this is indeed a remake and not a remaster: Nintendo now has a fully functional native Paper Mario system (engine? I'm not sure the term to use), perhaps implying that they could use much of the code for TTYD for a new game if this sells well. It's on the short list of my favorite games of all time, and definitely my favorite Mario game of all time.
Gamecube was the era that I switched to PS2 after growing up a Nintendo kid (we were poor and could only afford one console per generation). So I never got to experience this and I am _so_ hyped to finally play this.
I am not ashamed to say I cried. I’ve been wanting this for a long freaking time! This game was such a huge part of my childhood, and I am glad that this generation gets to enjoy this masterpiece of an RPG.
If I had a nickel for every time Nintendo resurrected a beloved Mario RPG, I'd have two nickels! Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right? ...can they make it three and bring the beans back?
Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story (the 4th and 2nd-best Mario RPGs, imo) DID get 3DS remakes...as both the system and Alphadream were dying and barely anyone played.
"REST IN HELL! NEW PAPER MARIO! FUCK YOU!!!"-Chugga "NOW DONT MAKE IT SHIT"- Brent aka King of Skill Pretty much everyone thoughts I can't wait to finally be play this game sadly missed out when I was a kid, not missing out this time. Now biggest question is which Yoshi kid color to pick 🤔 dark horse maybe?
This was my first time I had the proper chance to play TTYD. I wasn’t even born when the original ttyd came out (I was born in 2007) I played the remake as soon as it came out and it is peak
TTYD is what made me buy the Nintendo GameCube in the first place, and most likely what kept me on the Nintendo Bandwagon ever since then. This makes me so unbelievably happy!
I’m so glad Chugga is getting some screen time in this compilation. I’ve been watching him since 2012, when he played Super Paper Mario. Thank you for putting him in there. Edit: Same with PKsparkss.
My favorite reaction is Brent (King Of Skill) but because of the context surrounding his reaction Imagine that they announce a remake that you have been waiting for years and that they do it on your birthday Obviously you are going to be very excited about the announcement He even stressed that if it hadn't happened, his favorite ad would be the Funky Kong ad in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
All of these reactions are fantastic, but Brent's(king of skill) has to be my favorite. The IMMEDIATE and hysterical screaming mixed with the cuss words and the occasional "OH MY GOD" had me absolutely rolling in laughter lol
you could've included Domtendo's reaction, the biggest german nintendo channel because his reaction was insane (since it's his favorite game). Though he doesn't speak English I feel like his reaction alone is worth including
I’m not intimately familiar with TTYD but when I saw paper Mario’s house there was a small part of me that thought “What if this is a remake of super paper Mario” and I would have laughed so hard if that was the case.
This is without question the highlight from the Nintendo Direct. The direct was mediocre at best. But some like Princess Peach Showtime & F-Zero 99 are great and looken forward to them. But this right here is an huge big deal to me.
Seeing AntDude's reaction to this was really special. His lets play of it maybe 15 years ago when he was still called Sonikdude is what made me fall in love with this game and play it myself.
I think my favorite thing about these compilations is seeing the different rates of people becoming aware of what it is. Ranging from right when the book is shown, all the way up to detailed looks at Rogueport before realizing that it isn't the original Paper Mario. Really goes to show that it's not just the super fans of the (original) Paper Mario franchise that really look forward to this one!
Me: Oh sweet, TTYD remake! This is gonna be awesome, I’m guessing the internet is gonna blow up. *Ive only seen hype like this matched by Banjo’s reveal in smash bros*
As someone who loves both the old and (one of) the new games, seeing TTYD but with the modern games’ graphics (minus white outlines thank god) makes me very happy. VERY, very happy.
I'm just happy this game won't be super hard to find and super expensive anymore. (and maybe people can appreciate origami king for what it is and not what it isn't)
While Origami King wasnt true to Paper Mario Form as we wanted it to be, I did NOT have a bad time with it at all. It was annoying at times, mostly with the boss battles, but I loved it's charm. That being said, I despised the existance of Sticker Star, and Color Splash, only having played Sticker Star
Yeah, Origami King was strayed too far from what we wanted Paper Mario to continue being, but it was a bit improvement over the previous two attempts, and does have a lot of merit in a vacuum. It’s just really hard to separate that merit from the originals that were far better and that no one believed were coming back. (And it still had some real flaws in places like battles being mostly unnecessary)
The fact that over half of these reactors knew what it was the second it appeared showed just how much they loved this game before, and how much they probably will love it again.

King of Skill & Chugga's reactions were absolutely priceless
Chugga’s was probably the best considering his ‘Sticks it to sticker star’ series is mostly pointing out the flaws in modern Paper Mario and how he’s grown up with this kind of Paper Mario.
He literally buried his copy and the end of that review series better end with a photo of that
@@CassiusStelarIt would be better if he smashed and burned the game chip and the game case...
@@seankim8908 nah, mate. Would have been better for his sanity had he not bought it at all, but we can't change the past, we can only look forward to the bright future.
Besides... negative reviews like the Chugga Sticks it to Sticker Star series can be fun.
@@CassiusStelar Well, I mean after he's done with his Sticks it to Sticker Star series...
Chugga can finally burn Sticker Star into nothing but ash. Then wash the ashes down the drain
I didn’t cry the first time during the direct, but every time I watch a reaction video for this, I start sobbing. Thank you all for feeling the same way about my favorite game
The fact that a single shot of a book opening is MORE than enough for some of us 💀
Something major to consider if this is indeed a remake and not a remaster: Nintendo now has a fully functional native Paper Mario system (engine? I'm not sure the term to use), perhaps implying that they could use much of the code for TTYD for a new game if this sells well. It's on the short list of my favorite games of all time, and definitely my favorite Mario game of all time.
I love how everyone is just like "OH MY GOD" or "NO WAY" or "THOUSAND YEAR DOOR REMAKE"
meanwhile Chugga just goes complete apeshit i love it
Gamecube was the era that I switched to PS2 after growing up a Nintendo kid (we were poor and could only afford one console per generation).
Superstar Saga already has a remake though.....................
@@ApolloHoaxTheory Re-release? (The Online Expansion doesn't count)
Id have 3 *coughs in superstar saga*
Please god let a new Mario and Luigi game or remake happen next year, either that is a Super Paper Mario remake.
"REST IN HELL! NEW PAPER MARIO! FUCK YOU!!!"-Chugga "NOW DONT MAKE IT SHIT"- Brent aka King of Skill
Pretty much everyone thoughts
I can't wait to finally be play this game sadly missed out when I was a kid, not missing out this time. Now biggest question is which Yoshi kid color to pick 🤔 dark horse maybe?
You gotta always shoot for the regular box art green yosh, then somehow fuck it up and get stuck with the pink one. Memories man…
This was my first time I had the proper chance to play TTYD.
Chugga's reaction definitely stole the show, but I also love Arlo falling down the stairs at 4:56
Love how a book and a jingle was all it took for people to understand what was going on
The amount of pure joy from everyone surrounding the announcement of this game is just insane. Im so happy TTYD is one of my all time favs
I’m so glad Chugga is getting some screen time in this compilation. I’ve been watching him since 2012, when he played Super Paper Mario. Thank you for putting him in there.
Edit: Same with PKsparkss.
When people say “Yes” and “No” and it means the same thing
"Who the FUCK said mid in the chat?!"
A paper Mario sticker star lover. DISGRACEFUL
None of the sticker star will fully understand the thousand year door
My favorite reaction is Brent (King Of Skill) but because of the context surrounding his reaction
Imagine that they announce a remake that you have been waiting for years and that they do it on your birthday
Obviously you are going to be very excited about the announcement
He even stressed that if it hadn't happened, his favorite ad would be the Funky Kong ad in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
You can tell someone's familiarity with the game by how quickly they recognized it
2:36 The way he yelled rest in hell, new paper Mario, was freaking hilarious.
Gotta love how this shows how much this game means for people!
Arlo's full reaction was so wholesome and hilarious.
The Paper Mario Thousand Year Door Remake reveal otherwise known as when the entire Nintendo Fan base was brought to tears
Chugga was releasing demons, while Antdude was holding in the tears
All of these reactions are fantastic, but Brent's(king of skill) has to be my favorite. The IMMEDIATE and hysterical screaming mixed with the cuss words and the occasional "OH MY GOD" had me absolutely rolling in laughter lol
you could've included Domtendo's reaction, the biggest german nintendo channel because his reaction was insane (since it's his favorite game). Though he doesn't speak English I feel like his reaction alone is worth including
Yep, I watched his Video Yesterday. He went nuts, once he realized that his favourite Game got remade. 😂
Fully agree
I also just said Just Jesss, Mario and anything Nintendo is her life. she’s right up there with Roger in a way.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaassssss!!!!!!!!!
book appears
everyone else: Crying, hype silence, occasional shout
Chuggaconroy: [screams of the damned and cursing sticker star]
Never change
Meanwhile Brent:DO NOT,MAKE IT SHIT
Arlo: *stops functioning*
I’m not intimately familiar with TTYD but when I saw paper Mario’s house there was a small part of me that thought “What if this is a remake of super paper Mario” and I would have laughed so hard if that was the case.
Aye, I wish I can experience Super Paper Mario again
Bruh people love SPM whatchu trying to say-
@@bgaming2297 it’s a great game- I think there would be a lot of angry people though.
This is without question the highlight from the Nintendo Direct. The direct was mediocre at best. But some like Princess Peach Showtime & F-Zero 99 are great and looken forward to them. But this right here is an huge big deal to me.
Yay, I do not have to spend hundrets of euros (my currency) anymore to buy this 20 year old game. 😂 this is truly a W
Nah Peachette’s grand return 🔛🔝
@@georgschwingerchen39same man fuck ebay
Everyone says Chugga had the best reaction but Brent literally lost his voice 💀
Brent’s reaction kills me every time. 😂
I had been wanting to play this gem for years, and now…I GET TO TATTLE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was at work when I saw this and I had to hold in my reaction from seeing it. But let me tell you, I was SCREAMING from the inside.
So that was you skipping around the shop
same! I just stared jaw dropped!
Dude the amount of tears I cried when I saw this drop
Seeing AntDude's reaction to this was really special. His lets play of it maybe 15 years ago when he was still called Sonikdude is what made me fall in love with this game and play it myself.
I think my favorite thing about these compilations is seeing the different rates of people becoming aware of what it is. Ranging from right when the book is shown, all the way up to detailed looks at Rogueport before realizing that it isn't the original Paper Mario. Really goes to show that it's not just the super fans of the (original) Paper Mario franchise that really look forward to this one!
Arlo's reaction was just priceless
I bet if they revealed a sticker star remake the reactions would have the same amount of energy, just of pure hatred though 😂
Plot Twist: It's a complete overhaul and the title gets changed
Chugga would have exploded
I'm so glad Arlo is here, his reaction is easily one of the best ones imo.
It's Arlo. He should be. And we know how much this means to him. Yeah, others too, but he's super passionate about it.
0:07 That must've been 1 hell of a Reaction of the Mic suddenly cuts
He got so loud the noise filter caught him I assume XD
That...
Fucking...
*BOOK*
Somehow, *_EVERYONE REMEMBERS!_*
Everyone remembers their favorite bedtime stories. 😁
"MARIO RPGS AREN'T F**KING SH*T ANYMORE! YES!"
"Is the shower scene still in"
Quality first reaction
it fills me with immense joy to see people so passionately excited for something
This video never fails to put a smile on my face. It just brings me joy. Plain and simple joy.
I love how wii bro just cut out. Perfectly cut scream
I'm just happy this game won't be super hard to find and super expensive anymore. (and maybe people can appreciate origami king for what it is and not what it isn't)
(Nope)
HAHAHAHAHA, No
FOR REAL Origami king was a good game and I'm tired of pretending it's not 😈
While Origami King wasnt true to Paper Mario Form as we wanted it to be, I did NOT have a bad time with it at all.
"REST IN HELL NEW PAPER MARIO, FAWK YOU!"
4:02 of course the first thing on the furry's mind is the shower scene 💀
Chugga's reaction was easily the best lol
Everybody: “They’re remaking 1000-Year Door?! This is incredible!!!”
Chuggaaconroy and King of Skill: *SCREAMS OF THE DAMNED*
Nintendo truly is the best gaming company in the gaming history
The fact that over half of these reactors knew what it was the second it appeared showed just how much they loved this game before, and how much they probably will love it again.
SuperMarioT’s reaction was perfect. His “sleeping pills” comment was perfect!!! 🤣🤣
King of Skill’s reaction was absolutely peak.
I’m sooooo happy to see this game again. This was my childhood
The Cool thing about Brent's Reaction (King of Skill) That it was his birthday the day the direct came out so that just makes it all sweeter.
Chugga’s reaction is hilarious lmao. Also it’s crazy that we’re getting both a remake for both legend of the 7 stars & ttyd
Chuggaconroy is the goat. "Rest in hell new Paper Mario"
I'm so happy for Emile lol
Heh, hearing the new opening jingle over and over with peoples reactions is actually kinda tear jerking. Loved this game as a kid and a adult
10:08 in his video, Choctopus was talking about Super Paper Mario here, not TTYD. Just wanna clarify.
