Mr. French, Anderson, SC's town center is a WOW factor! Now, that's a nice, clean, attractive town center with a lot of historic structures with impressive architectural character and beauty. The streetscapes are nice too, and so are the landscaped areas and curated art displays on the streets. The layout of the town center is awesome and very walkable. It's a lovely place and one that I will be visiting. Timothy, I really enjoyed walking along with you as we toured downtown Anderson, SC. You always make your tours enjoyable and you always show everything. I thank you so much for doing that! GOD bless!
I'm considering a move to another city in SC and I find your videos extremely valuable since I can't drive all over the state to each and every town. I agree that slowing down your camera movements is important otherwise it makes the viewer nauseous. Keep up your great job.
@@TimothyFrench If i may give a small suggestion that i think would really help your channel. Maybe you could interview(short) one or two people in those towns to give their perpective of what makes their town great. I watch others who do your type of videos and they get more view interaction with those interviews.
That was my hope. Most videos I watched never showed a complete picture of what the town looked like. So I do my best to show the town as it is. Thanks
Today is 6 years since my father's death. His name was Timothy French, and I searched for a video of him I'd uploaded and found your channel. I'm a city planner, and taking a tour down this town "with" you was kind of therapeutic for me. Thank you for making this, you do a wonderful job.
As a resident of Anderson Mr. French presents a view of old Anderson which is quite nice , however most of us live quite a ways from here . We shop on Main or Clemson Blvd and over on Hwy 81 so please Mr French give us a more extensive visit and get to see the rest of our city.
Thanks for sharing your local knowledge. I will return, I’m sure. But for this series of videos, I’m only focusing on my quest to visit all of our town centers in North and South Carolina so that I can complete it in a reasonable amount of time.
I lived in Anderson back in August 2000 to June of 2003. The main street has come along way since then!!! They were in the process of redoing the street and sidewalks with the bricks back then.
Looking for apt. in Anderson. Which areas to avoid? Autumn Oaks, Windsor Place, Woodbridge, Williamsburg Manor, Caldwell Village,Westview Heights, Allen Hills, West Anderson?
I was hoping you'd visit Anderson. What a lovely town. It's on my list of possible places to retire. By the way, with all the walking you do, you must have lost a lot of weight and gotten very fit!
Greenville would probably be a better place to retire. I live in Anderson, a transplant from Florida and if I had it to do over again Greenville would be much better than Anderson.
Anderson has six bus routes that travel to most major areas of the city, running every hour.[28][29] The city also receives service from Clemson Area Transit (CATS) via the 4U route.[30] The city uses both newer hybrid buses and older style trolleys resembling Anderson's old streetcars.
My hometown, my parents and my grandparents. All local business owners. I have loved Anderson it’s getting pretty crowded these days but at least there is plenty to do! ❤
Politicians in Anderson are a joke. Jay West has to go. He's been a waste for the people on Anderson County for years. Time for a people candidate and not a tongue twister. He's like stale molded bread. He's a uh hu man to the rich that wants their bank accounts scratched.
😂 I need to get my right and left figured out. I just noticed my mistake this morning.

When we watch one of your videos we know what to expect and you never disappoint. Well done Timothy.

I may have to do that one night. 😃

70 years in anderson it is growing fast
That’s for sure. Lots of people moving into the Carolinas.
That theater is the state theater.
Went to movies there
Thanks for letting us know. I bet you had some good time there.
Yes
Looks quite pretty. Generally, I like a lot of US town/city downtowns. Clean and attractive.
❤ from the UK.
It was a clean town. They are doing a great job. 👍
Thanks for watching
Coming from NYC and Long island i kinda root it gets a little busier for those buisness.
Not too busy, but enough to keep the food from sitting.

I’m not familiar enough with Anderson to answer that question. But this site shows safest neighborhoods.

Have you been to Summerville South Carolina yet ?
Not yet, but it looks like it is going to be a cool place to visit

They need to clean up the mill properties
I agree.
They have let these mill hills go down lot of history on millhills
Mills were a big part of our Carolina towns.
They should be remodling all the buildings with the money they have
Road work has to improve in Anderson
Im sorry u had to waste ur time with this place. This town is a shithole riddled with crime. Downtown is an awful place to be especially at night.
