- Charleston South Carolina a historic city, and popular tourist destination due to it's vibrant downtown nightlife. It is also known for it's Geechee Gullah black culture and the unique language and dialect
I worked in those areas for about ten years , you should have seen it 20 years ago, it’s a lot better. It took cooperation with the community and the police department to make it a better place to live. I retired a few years ago and I love the people who live there. I would have given my life for them to help them save their community. The children are so loving and respectful, I miss all of them! I’m so proud of what was accomplished by my officers, working with them and in that area was the highlight of my life! Many people sacrificed a lot to make it a better place to live, thank you for your video, it brought back a lot of memories!
New Orleans, Savannah and Charleston all have a voodoo ghostly vibe in them.
It’s funny that you say that because some Gullahs in Charleston do practice Hoodoo. Which is a rendition of voodoo.

Hard to believe this is the US. It doesn't look ALL bad, but it certainly looks tropical/Caribbean. Not an America I've seen before.
I don't see a lot of trash on the ground, they seem to take pride in their community, respect to the people of Charleston

Charleston looks like a mix of Savannah Georgia,New Orleans and Key West FL. I can definitely see the gentrification potential with it being like a beach city and it definitely shows in this video.

You should see East Bay Street and those apartments at the 8 minute mark after it storms even a little. Completely impassable.

CharlieBo at some point you gonna have to stop coming to Charleston, especially downtown, and calling it a hood. Because what you see at 2:33 is about to runnin rampant around the city. I know see all that new construction compared to the last times you been to the city. Just wait on it, it’s coming
They said I had to stop on December 1, 2024. As long as I get the videos in before then I can still call it the hood. So I'm good right now.
