I love you guys. I had a friend that lived in a basement apartment that had mold. She ended up with neurological damage from breathing mold spores. She won a lawsuit but her health has never been fully recovered. Just wear a mask, please!! Sorry to act like your mother but I am one so just can’t help myself. ❤❤❤
So sorry to hear that about your friend 😢 Wearing masks is a good idea for sure, but we weren’t, and all these videos were filmed within the same week, before our renovation series even went live and before we ever got the first comment of someone saying we should be wearing masks. So, we aren’t ignoring you guys, just can’t go back in time 😅 By the time we started getting all the comments, we were already past most of the demo and “mold” type stuff. So, you probably won’t see us wearing masks, and apologies for disappointing everyone 🙂
Just started watching your vlogs about 2 months ago but finally got caught up from your first vlog to this one. Really enjoyed them. I’ve done a lot of renovations on old mobile homes and have run into a lot of what I’m seeing y’all are running into. PLEASE. PLEASE do like everyone is saying. Even tho it’s a pain in the butt MASK UP. It’s very serious and I do know people that have suffered greatly from mold spores. Keep up the good work and enjoy. Looking forward to your next vid👍
Loving this series and following along on your new adventure! So stressful… and so excited to see your progress! 🎉 I agree with everyone else - please wear masks around mold, bug stuff and dust! It can make you so sick. You two are so vibrant and fun and I really want you to remain that way. ❤
Before you go any further I would strongly recommend pulling the roof and looking under it. Based on what I saw in the previous video it needs to be redone anyways it's not going to last very long and its current condition and you're probably going to find a lot more damage underneath it.
@@terrysandiego Unfortunately they may learn the hard way down the road. I own a cleaning company you don't mess with that stuff. I learned the hard way.

Catching up on previous lack of maintenance/waterproofing will be the hardest part. Once it is back to solid, you guy's will fly through the rest of the build.
Carpenter ants can damage wood just like termites. We had a carpenter ant infestation in our RV and they were very difficult to get rid of. Eventually used Combat bait with fipronil and it killed them. Maybe the ants you mentioned are actually carpenter ants?
We enjoy watching your journey, we're retired and love the outdoor life. We don't adventure like you do but we're much older too. Our camping is pretty much traveling to different campgrounds and enjoying the scenery along the way. Keep up the good work and best of luck with your projects.
Excited to see the remodel take place. It's going to be so nice when all the hard work is done and it will have your personal touch.❤ ..... just be safe throughout the process. Wear respirators with the right filters for mold. We all want you safe!
Maverick & Leland are having a blast ☺️ sorry to hear of all the window léaks, mold and termites, but it’s a good idea to replace the top, due that will be your safe place 💤💤 You’re doing really good. Stay safe 😍😍
Craig is soooooo good at this, makes me wish I could do this kind of stuff. Very impressive. Dear, you need to keep this man around, lol. Great video. PS: I'm one of you viewers that have been watching when you had less then 1000 subscribers. Wow, 60k, go man go. Take care.
I'm very excited about this Reno! And your adventures trips/afterwards. It's fun watching the both of you transform your new rig, once you two are finished with all of the Renos it's going to look even better than before. 🙂😊
Fun series - at least for those of us watching! Make sure you seal the outside (especially roof and windows) first - or at least asap - or you're going to get your new work wet.
Can not wait to see next. Where did you get your work area covering. I have looking for one with screens that one looks strong. I think foam insulation is a great call will fill all the imperfection, and any small gaps. Should make it water tight. Great to keep area you plan to sleep mold and water free. Can wait to see it done and what the cost ends up.
If you enjoy the process of renovating this a good project, but if you just wanted to go explore, it would have probably been better to buy something a little newer. It makes for great content though, which is probably half of the goal as well. Either way, enjoy watching your struggles while I relax and sip some coffee.
Rent a wallpaper steamer, it will remove the wallpaper in minutes and make the work so much quicker and easier and less mess also. As my grandfather would say, " it might not be perfect but a blind man would like to see it!". As for that front nose cap, I would curve a piece of wood up the nose, will give you an extra 5" of space and you won't have a collection box for moisture, fill that gap with expanding foam for sure.
I love watching your renovation adventure, but I cringe when Victoria fires up the multi-tool without wearing safety glasses!!! Would you please do us all a favor and put on some glasses and put on an N95 when you are sanding or playing with Mold!!! Your're Killing Me Smalls! ;-)
Looking good so far. You guys definitely dodged a bullet with the front cab area. Looks a lot better than I thought it was going to be for sure. We had to completely rebuilt ours.
Wasn't it so crazy how solid the actual structural wood was when that dumb box was totally gone? Definitely better than the other way around though, lol.
Yeah im old school on masks as well. Id leave that area open a couple days to see if it dries up with air. Also don't those windows need to be sealed from the outside? How are you going to get silicone behind the outside window flange without pulling windows out. You guys are a lot of fun. My 8, 11 year old daughters and wife always watch your videos together at supper time. Blessings!
I will say, the “prep” work continues on for a while longer, but we end up getting to do some interesting projects along the way. I’m still looking forward to the “beautification” part of things over here 😆 it’s all a part of the adventure though!
Craig you and Victoria are doing a great job. It’s looking good keep up the good work. Just think when you’re done how good it’s going to be. Y’all stay safe and happy rebuilding.
After watching SOOOOO many RUclipsrs buy 30+ year old campers all of this seems crazy before ensuring the vehicle/engine is actually stable and reliable. From what I've seen so many times, you'll spend all this time and money renovating and then discover the endless mechanical issues (after spending too much for repairs) aren't worth it and you won't know until you go (esp over hills/mountains). I had a 30 year old Winnie where the RV was in excellent condition so no Reno needed, but it was one thing after another with the engine/mechanical-and the people before had the same and had poured sooooo much $ into it. I wish you much luck.
We mentioned it briefly in one of our first videos and didn't film it all (because I was visiting my sister at the time), but Craig did a full tune up and inspection of the motor and other engine related components before we started renovations. We also traveled about 500 miles in it with no issues before beginning. Of course, I am 100% sure we will encounter some mechanical issues. It's a 30+ year old vehicle after all, and we'll be sure to bring you guys along for the adventure when we do. Luckily, before we purchased our truck + fifth wheel, we were no stranger to old used vehicles and the mechanical issues that go along with them. But, of course, I agree that it's a good idea to make sure that the engine in your used RV is mechanically sound before starting renovations 😅
I love that your teacher in high school had a name that sounds like a plumber name. I mean anyone in trades with the name Bud is great cause they are the best friends to people who don’t have those skills. For anyone reading this considering a job change, become a plumber. @Jeffbob442 thank you!! It really is coming along. Half of it might be new by the time we finish, lol, but at least we'll have gotten to put our personal touch on it!
Victoria, you are becoming quite the carpenter, or maybe you already were. So anxious to see the walls covered with wallpaper. That will be one huge transformation.
Hey Victoria and Craig, We love watching your new series especially as we start on the build on our Isuzu NPR Truck Camper. One random thought... Why don 't you use the generator to charge the batteries in your Brinkley then power the tools from that?
C & V you have to think that those metal windows condensate even if they are sealed they will gather condensation and collect at the base of the window, wall and floor is most likely where this rot comes from. Hot on the inside cold on the outside= condensation. Surprised to see a lack of structure so add as much as you can! Been enjoying watching ya’ll working on your struggle bus!
Hey Craig you guy's definetley need to to check your butyl tape and dicor around exterior window's make sure your not setting up for another round down the road.Keep up the good work
Love watching your renovations! You guys are doing a good job on the floors and walls but what are you doing to seal all the windows so they don't leak again??
We'll have a full video about it coming up with all the details, but basically we will take the windows out, fully remove old sealant/butyl tape and then install them back with new butyl tape and sealant
Replace all of the wood on the walls, you need to see what's behind them and you can run any electrical cables before you put back the new plywood.you will then have a good sound structure to work with and be good for many years. If a job is worth doing then do it well don't take short cuts ❤
The problem with removing all the walls is that these walls are vacuum bonded walls. Once you remove the outer layer, you actually remove the structural integrity (it breaks the seal/vacuum). So, it’s best to only replace the pieces that you reallllyyyy need to.
As many have commented, wear masks and gloves. Mold is not to be trifled with. You're in a closed space and you're sucking in all of those mold spores. It can be seriously detrimental to your health. Take care. I do love your channel and your shenanigans.

Wow?!! Such a crazy DIY Adventure!! heh heh. Anyway, I just wanted to say that the Rotted/Moldy "Front Wooden Box" in the overhead bed area is likely for the extra support!! You got to imagine your bed padding up there and someone sleeping and rolling into the very front edge/bend... they would literally be putting so much pressure (and trust) in the flimsy front/overhanging shell. So hopefully you do decide to rebuild some sort of extra framing (if not a box again), for the safety of whoever has to sleep on the front most portion of the bed. 🙂 Keep up the great (and entertaining) work!!!
The class C Reno is coming along and gives you a clean space to start to rebuild. Get the dirty work out of the way then the fun part starts. Good luck guys!! 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
How exciting! You're almost there. Please don't put that box under the window back if you don't have to it looks stupid, and does it even serve a purpose? Your doing a great job keep up the great work.
My excitement level is at asking you guys if you could do some all nighters I so badly wanna see like one room finished to see how cool it’s gonna look be safe and you know what be on the wild side lol
I'm excited, that you guys are having to do the work! LOL I enjoy just watching... I am so glad you guys deceided to change out all the wood around the bed.
At this time in the game I’m thinking that adding pontoons and turning the RV into a waterborne RV might be kool … drive down to Florida … drive out into the water and road/water trip to Bermuda 🤷🏻♂️
After you first started your demo, your camera caught microscopic (floaties) while recording. And then Craig started sneezing all the time. In this video you have found mold for sure. Masks and gloves, masks and gloves, masks and gloves! (By now you already know that)..... Stay safe, You're doing great!
Fortunately, we did realize the sneezing was due to the ant killer spray we’d sprayed in the back room. We stopped sneezing after that day and started again a couple weeks later when we sprayed it again. Fortunately, we haven’t had any respiratory symptoms throughout the demolition process, so we’re good there. 🙌🏼 But yes, there has definitely been some dust in air, and on camera 😅 thanks so much for joining us on the renovation adventure!
I have the same generator and I stored mine for a couple months and the carb went bad… rebuilt it twice and it’s still not perfect.. have a brand new one in the box waiting for me to decide to do it again… I’m a little bitter 😂
No slides! We forgot to mention it but that was one of our requirements to buy it. After our first RV, we didn’t want any broken slides on an old RV lol!
@@wildrvlife I am watching intently, because my floors will need the same work, because the slide seals failed and there were two rivers running down the floor. The areas with soft wood are where the slides are. The seals are fixed but not the flooring.
Be sure to test the integrity of all the electrical circuits while you have all that wiring exposed. Now is the time to easily trace problems and bad connections.

We are definitely much happier after deciding to put all new wood up there!
You have quite a job on your hands! 😊
We wanted a project and we GOT ONE. Lol!
We are moving and we were contemplating the size of our barn/garage and I am going with the original plan of making it big enough for our rv.
The "On Camera" patience is Next Level.....
One place you need to check for leaks is around the clearance and tail lights. You might want to replace them. New lights come with gaskets
Yessss, I don’t want to give away too much from future videos but I’ll just say that a fresh set of marker lights makes a big difference!
Glad to See Victoria getting into the tools just protect those beautiful eyes
Couple of chairs, you’re ready to hit the road. Quartzsite or Slab City?
😂🤣 I’m thinking Slab City
Measure and go to ikea for cabinets and maybe even furniture. Cheap, light, and good value for money
At this time in the game I’m thinking that adding pontoons and turning the RV into a waterborne RV might be kool … drive down to Florida … drive out into the water and road/water trip to Bermuda 🤷🏻♂️
Laughing with you...but feeling the slog of hide 'n seek of repairs!
I'm excited. Love watching your videos, and this remodel is extra exciting
My husband and I used to do house renovations and it is best to have on mask and gloves when dealing with mold. Be careful!
Yes, thank you!
Gosh, I'm really excited to see your wall paper. 😄........ Cha-Ching....Cha-Ching. $$$$$
Hello. Oh My!! You two are so brave and well..... maybe a lit crazy!! haha. Good luck. Thanks for sharing.
haha definitely a little crazy, but hey, that keeps life interesting 😆 thanks for watching!
Some things are sort of like digging a hole in the sand on a beach. By the way, TERMITE BITE, TERMITE NOT. 🙂 I love what you are doing.
😂 thanks for coming along on the adventure!
😮 uufff! Que pasada! Animo pareja!😊
Really enjoying this video series. Good job guys.
Please don't forget to check around the skylight and you really should be wearing a mask 😷😊
The skylights are a very common problem area!
I wish it wasn’t so bad. You guys doing a great job.
We’re getting there!! Thank you!
Take youre time guys we will wait and watch beleive me such a good series. Also dont forget youre drivetrain
I have the same generator and I stored mine for a couple months and the carb went bad… rebuilt it twice and it’s still not perfect.. have a brand new one in the box waiting for me to decide to do it again… I’m a little bitter 😂
Aww man!! That’s annoying. We were pretty surprised when this one started back up so good again
Enjoying your videos 👍🏻
MASK!! Thats an order!! Lol
Keep going! It will be worth it. Make it part of your adventure! Happy Thanksgiving!
I can't wait to see it done. I am guessing that the motorhome has no slides to worry about?
Very good point!
What happened to keeping it simple and a quick turn around? Some Simple Green, Clorox and go.
LOL Craig does love to use Simple Green on basically everything 🤣
Good progress. Can’t wait…
Use Concrobium for the mold
