Steve, I love your channel. I grew up camping as a kid. My dad had 4 brothers and 3 sisters and my Mom had a brother, and the family got together when I was around 8 or 10 and bought some property on Cherokee Lake in East Tennessee, and built a campground for the family complete with restrooms and showers (lake water only but hey). We literally lived there in two tents one year all summer long. My Dad and his brothers and my other uncles would get up in the morning and go to work, and the wives would stay and take care of the kids and the campground. We'd go home once a week to check the mail and make sure the house hadn't burned down. I have so many fond memories of sitting and playing cards or scrabble in a tent with the rain coming down, riding my bike through the woods, and of course all of the swimming. We had access to the campground for a number of years before it was eventually sold, and some of my best memories were made there. I also suffer from insomnia. I guess because the landscape is usually so quiet and you have a soothing voice, I can put on a camping video and be asleep before the end when I go to bed. That's a compliment, by the way. You're not boring, you're comforting. Give my best to Lovely Wife and Crazy Neighbor, and thank them for letting you be you. Hugs.

You could slowly build this list and incorporate the pieces for a particular camping video. Perhaps itemize the list as amazon links that refers a portion of the sale back to you. I would love to see this continue to grow as a quality camping show. You have a great presence on camera.

You know Steve has made it when he pays for camping 😎 hope you're hunkering down ok up there
Per usual Steve, killin it, love the channel and love the dad energy. Keep doing you buddy
Holy shit lmao
He is not a dad vibe
“Dad energy” cringe
@@TryHardSoviet Bigger cringe commenting that
Love your videos man! Been subscribe to you since you pop out of my recommend about that infector from dead space!
That torch you started the fire with would definitely keep the bears away!😲
Us colorblind brothers have to stand in arms! My wife called me out for buying a “navy” shirt, that was actually purple too haha
I bought purple slacks thinking they were brown 😂
Not color blind but I have always been fascinated with the idea of seeing more colors or fewer colors than most people. I wonder if it is anything like most people hear something entirely different from the next?
@@ZebraFacts you can't know how somebody else sees colour (i.e. your brown might be somebody else's red) but there are certain individuals with extra cone cells who definitely see more than the rest of us (iirc the condition is called something like tetrachromacy, although my phone's keyboard says that isn't a word)
Just tell her it was "the royal navy"!!
Tim V I bought brown slacks thinking they were purple🤣
"I wanna do something not stressful" - camps in grizzly bear territory
Less stressful than taxes!

Hey! It's not that bad. The risk is really very low. And the rewards are very high!!!!!!!!
There were more campers there but they have been swallowed.😃
😳😳😳😳
Just wanted to say, your videos are life saving for runaways. Helping us keep safe comfortable and undetected and really good easy cheap meals. I’m at home now, but thanks for this.
Super glad I found your channel.
Running from the law ??
James Vw Running away from home:
Running away from the pain of being abused and raped by your father I get it
I always love that you take the time to cook breakfast even when it's the day to go home. I always rush off. I need to slow down.
That is definitely the first time I've heard someone say the longhand version of texmex. Every video of yours has a new surprise.
Lol. I wanted to tell him it’s Tex-Mex every time I hear him say it. 😏
I’ve done my fair share of camping and even backpacking through National parks in the U.S. but I love how accessible you make camping. I’m 22 and only recently started acquired my own gear and everything you say is so true. Camping is so accessible to almost everyone and I wish more people would take advantage of it. I love watching your videos for tips and tricks to “cut corners” in the best way possible.
Feeling rough. You videos always make me smile. So wholesome. Brings a tear to my eye just watching you in nature be so happy. Wish that could be me. Please take care of your self sir.
"the glory pile"....that's hysterical!🤣🤣
This video made me realize that Steve looks at camping like I look at golf courses. I don’t need the best of the best of the best. I just want a good fun time and that’s all that matters!
You are the Steven Wright of camping and I appreciate you.
Steve: Car Camping in Grizzly Country
Bears: Meals in Wheels
Cheers and yes I'm jealous😉
Starting June 2021, I'm doing exactly what you're doing Steve. I've always wanted to start the camping life. So I decided "my SUV will work", just like you. Made some little screens for my windows, blackout curtains, bed cushion, etc... cheap and rewarding. Only black bears in New England! Thanks for "not advice" videos. Can't wait to go back to the woods!!!
This is probably one of my favorite videos so far Steve
I've been watching this video for 3 minutes and this is already my favourite RUclips channel ever.
Who would ever dislike Steve's videos??? Hes the man. So relaxing. But keep doing you man, I've been around since at right about 80k subs. I never miss a video and never will. And to the people that dislike Steve's videos, go get some help. And you absolutely deserve all the success you get Steve!!!

The whole times he's cooking I'm thinking a bear was going to spring out of the woods and ambush him. Whew whee !
“There’s no excuse to have scurvy in Alberta” one of a few epic quotes from this episode Lol.
That squirrel was like "who's camping in my stealth homestead"
Steve is a man of many talents: a stealth camper, a good meal maker, provides good words of wisdom, gives good advice and ideas! 👍 🌲⛺
And NOW my Thursday is complete! ❤️
Texas Mexico cheese may be even more Canadian sounding than "aboot"
Love it
Been in Canada 47 years and never heard anyone say aboot and I've traveled all over the country.
@@TMGMedia73 that's what Canadians saying "about" sounds like to non Candians
My Nova Scotian friends talk like that... but the rest of us Canadians don't talk like that.
I will now forever call it Texas Mexico cheese.
Got a friend from Saskatoon and dated a girl from Cardston that both said Aboot. My guess is it's more of a western Canadian thing
I recognized this campground almost right away. Been camping there for years, beautiful place! It's extra fun watching your videos when I know the spots and have been there myself. So cool. Also never been bothered by bears out there. If anything it's the old trees that occasionally fall that I would worry about lol. I've personally seen 3 come down near our campsites.
Beautiful campsites, absolutely beautiful. The cooking segments you do are often my favorite parts of the video. And that sandwich made me so hungry. Thursdays are becoming my favorite days because I can come in, fire up the computer, open a beer, and camp with Steve. I love the videos! Hello from Texas.
This one was wonderfully peaceful and the simplicity of it all works wonders for the soul.
You don't need to make it extremely complex with all the luxury items and changes of clothes for a one over-nighter. I love to camp out, but my girls insist on packing the SUV to the rafters with stuff we don't need.
hahaha, I love the way Steve starts a fire. No rubbing 2 sticks for him!
I just discovered your page about a week ago. Love the videos man. My son and I camp alot, and sometimes even in just the backyard. Happy to see a new upload
My wife and daughter set up hammocks
Between pergala 6x6s. I laid sleeping bag on lawn furniture. Too cool.
This is like the exact manifestation of what I imagine a campground should be. Great spot and video Steve!
i follow a lot of channels and I swear this is the most low stress and just chill site. thank you!
You could almost have a outside nature cooking show. Simple menus for a simpler time. Also I would love to see a list of the items you use. You could slowly build this list and incorporate the pieces for a particular camping video. Perhaps itemize the list as amazon links that refers a portion of the sale back to you. I would love to see this continue to grow as a quality camping show. You have a great presence on camera.
we teach the one pot method to boy scouts it is gourmet cooking at its finest. Emilio would be jealous
My favorite videos to watch right before bed, super chill and you feel relaxed watching him hunker down. Love it. Good wholesome content 🤘 probably one of the only channels I have my notifications turned on for.
Careful Steve! We need you bro, don't let the bears get you! Hunker Down!
When you were sitting down on the picnic table cooking I counted 32 sasquatch hiding in the trees behind you. I would say I dont blame you for not noticing, but one was an ALBINO!

Both of these quotes need to be on Steve’s next batch of merch 😄
I've never had a bad day in my life. Perspective.
I mean, he’s not wrong haha
That sandwich is how camping should be. Don't deny yourself of a great meal!
Perfect meal in a perfect campsite. That river is amazing.
There's No Excuse To Have Scurvy In Alberta would be a nice tee shirt. Maybe festooned with a depiction of a rose hip or two. Thanks for the lovely video!
This is how I imagine all Canadians are, love you guys
I’m married to a Canadian and I can assure you that they are NOT all as nice and upbeat as Steve here. They are just like everyone else; there are kind ones and not so kind ones
I like watching Steve, he makes me laugh. Don’t forget Wrangalstar also sets his fire 🔥 using a propane burner. Just enjoy the freedom of his experience!!!!!! That’s all it’s about. God Bless you Steve and your family and camera shy wife!!! Your Challenge 😮 is too get your wife on film. The Gauntlet has been thrown down!!!! ❤❤❤😂😂🎉🎉😊
I hope this doesn't turn into "Running with Steve." And later "Screaming with Steve."
I'd still watch and sub.

Grizzlies are no different than anyone else, they're just looking for some love and understanding. And maybe your gizzard.

I laughed when you checked to see if the foam cooler was bear proof.

Bought a Subaru Outback last year with the plan to get back into camping. Searching youtube videos for tips, gear, and locations only to find tons of "overlanders" in their Rubicons with built-in kitchens to cook gourmet dinners for the group. I just want to enjoy the outdoors with as little as possible. Finally someone that camps they way I did when I was young! Thank you for brining a pan a spatula from the home kitchen and not some overpriced collapsable cookware set! Subscribed immediately and now heading to the channel for some more of your videos!
