I went into grizzly country for this weeks camping, it's a surprisingly short drive to get into bear country from my new place so I took full advantage of that! Just the beginning of this years bear country camping, and I'm hoping to get lots of them on film.
Cheers everyone, and happy fathers day!

Came to youtube to get some OG camping tips and end up watching a guy camping in his car, slamming tall boys and lighting a campfire with a propane fed blow torch. Nice.
What it's all about!
Welcome to Steve country 😂😎
Cheers!
I know your comment is a year old but you are in the right place!
eh he gets the job done! steve's as canadian we get lol
“I don’t really want my campsite to pop out to anyone walking by”
- pulls out flamethrower -
Love it 😂🤙🏼
I really like that he’s laid back and is humble enough to tell his viewers that he’s not a bushcraft experienced camper. He keeps it easy and always has a real positive attitude.
yeah.. I also like that he just makes a fire in the most comfortable and quick way instead of searching for birch bark, splitting wood for half an hour, making feather sticks and using flint and stuff - like all the bushcrafters do for absolutely no reason before they use their 3000USD gear...
Steve has lived 5 lifetime's. He brings us every single element of being a great human being while just being himself. Absolutly an awesome guy!
“I was informed that my chair was purple”
Classic Steve
Dead🥀Purple.
Bear's can open car doors.
I'm colourblind too so I get that. Anything with red or green in it is a problem so purple and blue look the same. If I had a quid for every time I've potted a really good red at snooker only to be told it was the brown. Hey ho.
Ikr, someone please help steve pick a stealthier chair 😢
I often don't even catch Steve's jokes until I read the comments because they are just as stealthy as his camping.
No jokes on this channel ;)

"I need to do something a little less stressful"
*Camps in bear country.
Ha!
🤣🤣
That is waaay less stressful than doing taxes.
Camping is less stressful than any form of paperwork. Especially taxes. I would go back into the army if I knew I would never have to fill out taxes again and I hated the army
What happened to the electric fence you got last year, Steve?
Of the stealth camping channels Ive seen, Steve’s has to be one of the most down to earth and easiest to watch.
I agree. A lot of stealth campers are van lifers who seem to be focused more on the aesthetic, rather than simply focusing on the quiet beauty that is around them.
@@gabbym333 so nicely put
Steve’s fire-lighting techniques and his sandwich construction are things of wonder. 😂
Steve, my daughter is in the children's hospital again. She'll be ok, but she's there a lot. And we can't camp ourselves for quite a while. Let me just say: your videos are just what the doctor ordered. For both of us. Thank you!
Sorry to hear about your little one.

Steve, I love your channel. I grew up camping as a kid. My dad had 4 brothers and 3 sisters and my Mom had a brother, and the family got together when I was around 8 or 10 and bought some property on Cherokee Lake in East Tennessee, and built a campground for the family complete with restrooms and showers (lake water only but hey). We literally lived there in two tents one year all summer long. My Dad and his brothers and my other uncles would get up in the morning and go to work, and the wives would stay and take care of the kids and the campground. We'd go home once a week to check the mail and make sure the house hadn't burned down. I have so many fond memories of sitting and playing cards or scrabble in a tent with the rain coming down, riding my bike through the woods, and of course all of the swimming. We had access to the campground for a number of years before it was eventually sold, and some of my best memories were made there.
I also suffer from insomnia. I guess because the landscape is usually so quiet and you have a soothing voice, I can put on a camping video and be asleep before the end when I go to bed. That's a compliment, by the way. You're not boring, you're comforting. Give my best to Lovely Wife and Crazy Neighbor, and thank them for letting you be you. Hugs.
If I'm ever in Canada, which is very unlikely, I would love to have a beer with Steve. My kind of camping. I've got PTSD and your videos really help me relax when I'm having a bad day. Top man, sending love from yorkshire england.
Yes! Thanks Steve!
Everyone has PTSD these days. It's obnoxious to hear.
@@Connection-Lost the only thing obnoxious around here is your disgusting comment. Do you know what Phillip's been through to cause their PTSD? Maybe they are a veteran who saw unspeakable things in a conflict they served in, maybe they were raped, maybe they were victim of a home invasion or were attacked while they were out and about etc. You have no f*cking idea what they or anyone stating they have PTSD has experienced and yet you think you somehow get to make a judgement about people's diagnoses? I was impressed with the $11.00 in an envelope going into the slot. That would never happen in the US. The slot would be empty and there would be 11 hundred dollars worth of damage from someone getting it out.

I love Steve. He is as real as it gets. He gets donations from viewers so that way he doesn’t sell out to corporate interest. No plugs just adventures: love it, wish more people were like Steve. It just the simple pleasures of stealth camping, nothing more, nothing less.

Damn this guy is so humble and chill, not overbearing, just a person, love it.
Over *bear* ing
SkeletorRises Exactly the joke I was about to make. I couldn’t *bear* not checking to make sure someone had said it.
I must admit, there is something quite serene about watching his videos, but I personally would be scared shitless if I knew I was out in the open in grizzly bear territory. Just being in that position is scary enough, and then he makes things more risky by doing some outdoor cooking and creating food odors that drift for miles around. Sorry, but creating a magnet for bears while being in an area with zero cell phone service is not a risk I would take. To each their own, but I don't want to increase my odds of winding up torn to shreds and in the stomach of a hungry grizzly.
Over"bear"ing
I 💗 the fact that he doesn’t put out videos saying he meditates because he can’t cope with his own thoughts! I was blown away when another outdoor enthusiast vlogger said that recently.
"Consider subscribing. You know talk it over with the family", I love it! Lol. Classic Steve!
Steve, you're a hero in your own right. I try not to say that lightly. I've read so many of the comments on your videos. You help a lot of people, like myself. Your demeanor and attitude has inspired a sense of adventure inside me that I've never tapped into before. I recently stayed 3 nights outdoors, during freezing temperatures in the middle of winter, and I've fallen in love. Your appreciation of the simple things in life is something I long for. Thank you for sharing these adventures with us, Steve.

WHO and WHY would anyone dislike this video. Steve’s the man.
A survey showed a weirdly high percentage number of dislikes on videos were due to misplaced thumbs on smartphones actually aiming for "like"
Being a person who has four thumbs, I like to double check my likes.
It was the grizzlies who took offense!!

@Craig G you really want to avoid that..... We did it at a camp site long ago.. had to extinguish the fire in the evening.... It smelled terrible the next morning. It was fun though, being one of the couple of people who knew where the smell came from and seeing the others faces.
I love the sound of the rain, the sound of a cracking wood fire and the smell of woodsmoke.
And, if I may add, the refreshing taste of an ice cold lager or 6.
The whole times he's cooking I'm thinking a bear was going to spring out of the woods and ambush him. Whew whee !

I'd be chancing the bears too. They don't bug you unless there's food involved, and don't screech.
I've heard you say more than once that you're not a professional outdoor enthusiast, you're just a regular guy enjoying the heck out of nature.
