    As a black woman I don't understand why everyone is commenting on race! She's a beautiful white woman, WHITE woman. She does what's best for her and HER skin color, she doesn't know how to do makeup for another skin color which is understandable. Why can't everyone just enjoy this beautiful young lady's video and appreciate the makeup she does for her own face! Much love💘💖

      My eyelashes are actually the same, maybe even a bit longer, I always get asked what eyelashes im wearing and im like umm, I don't wear any :P And i didn't notice how long my eyelashes are until i watched Lauren's video with my firend and she said She has your eyelashes :D Althought Lauren's prettier so .. yeah :(

      add cold pressed castor oil [small amount] with a q tip to your eyelashes every night, brush them thru gently with your fingers.... or almond oil, argan oil, OR organic coconut oil and you will see a big difference in as little as 1 week! I had VERY SHORT lashes and now they are as long as lauren's in just one month.

    Yes Lauren I totally feel you with the eyeliner thing you were taking about! I have very small eyes and I feel that eyeliner tends to overpower my entire lid and drown out my eye as opposed to heavy mascara and maybe some soft black eyeshadow smudged against my upper lash line if i want definition

    I just showed my husband your finished look... and he said Wow! I definitely agree! WOW! You are absolutely gorgeous and this has to my personal favorite of all your makeup looks! It really does everything that you want makeup to do... as far as enhancing your natural features! On another note... you seem to be a little off and not as happy and bubbly as I've seen in past videos. I hope all is well with you! I love watching your videos and tutorials! I am always looking forward to the next! Much love ♡

      People really seem to like those City Lips lip plumpers, so maybe give that a try? They aren't supposed to sting or tingle like others do but I haven't actually tried them myself. My lips are a pretty decent size right now but who knows in 20 years I'll be singing a different tune... Why can't our bellies/thighs shrink as we age instead of our lips lol!!

    I love this makeup look. It's so much fresher and prettier than the harsher looks using a million products that are so popular on youtube. I have naturally long lashes like you and this is pretty much how I've always done my eyes, but this is the first time I've ever seen anyone do a tutorial on it. You have really great instincts for what makes you look best!

    Hey girl, love your videos. I have a great idea for you. I have dark hair and I'm sure a lot of people watching your video would be unsure if certain makeup looks or products would look good with their haircolour and obviously you wouldn't want to dye your hair just to do a makeup tutorial... so I had an idea that you could do some tutorials wearing different coloured hair wigs! It would be a great way to mix up your videos a bit and to show people some looks that work on different hair colours :) xoxo

      @tifneycarman8191 10 лет назад +8

      I'm glad I'm not the only one! With me, it's my right eye. My lashes always just fan out and look gorgeous on that eye. My left eye, it seems I can never get my lashes to look like there's any length! The more mascara I use, the worse they look! They clump together so it looks like I have about four stubby lashes in all. Why is that???

    • @kristina______3062
      @kristina______3062 10 лет назад +1

      Kallie1006
      I had the same problem-now, I do my right eye first because it takes forever to make those lashes long and curled. And when I'm done, I do my left eye-it just needs a few strokes of mascara and it pops :D
      If I do them in the same time my left eye always looks better-this way I even them out.
      Hope this helped xxx

    Sweet Lauren, You can thank your lucky stars, AND YOUR PARENTS (!!!) for your exquisite bone structure, lovely features, gorgeous eyes, and doll-like skin colour, texture and tone as YOUR base!!! Some of us have to work an hour just to get near what you have "for free" to start with!! Then we can go on to creating a special look!! But what I love about you is your normalcy and humility as a beautiful girl. I appreciate that you don't act "in love with yourself" as many YT girls do!! Stay sweet!

    I love that you don't overdo it on your everyday look. I used to work with girls that had club style makeup on during the day, and I didn't understand why they felt the need to cake on so much for work. Question though. The products that you used in this video, are they your tried and true go to products for your everyday look? Just curious since I know you use many types of products in your other tutorials, but wondering if these are your personal "gotta have it" makeup products. Great video girl!

    Any tips on keeping your lashes curled up after using an eye lash curler? I invested in expensive tarte eyelash curler, in hopes that it'll keep my lashes curled the whole day but after mascara and curling, it goes back down in a matter of minutes....how can I keep my lashes up?:(

      As Julia said I've heard waterproof mascara works well!

    • @c__graz
      @c__graz 10 лет назад +3

      i know this is controversial, but i curl my lashes after mascara too. i know that's "scandalous", but i've done it for such a long time that i'm very careful about it. i let the curler go slowly and roll it inwards to take it off. works really well. i use an elf eyelash curler for $1 from target.

    • @cherishcollins7036
      @cherishcollins7036 10 лет назад +6

      If you use a hairdryer to heat up your lash curler, the curl will last all day especially if you put a coat of waterproof mascara like others suggested. Just like a curling iron would not curl your hair without heat, the same concept applies with your lash curler. Just be sure to check it is not to hot so you don't burn your eyelid ;)

    • @YMSVDZ

      I know this may sound weird, but together with the other tips you've just got, try to put mascara on top of your lashes as well. And try to curl them up with the wand. After that just also do it on the bottom of course. IT'S ALL ABOUT GRAVITY MY DEAR

  • @deafbluethunder

    You're so nice to reply to most of the comments. I agree with the eyeliner thing, that's why I tightline (line my lashline only) and use mascara instead of having thick black eyeliner.

  • @pathletical
    @pathletical 10 лет назад +7

    I love Lauren, but the reason her eyes really look so big after is her long beautiful eyelashes. That really makes them look amazing. I've tried multiple tutorials like this, but with my thin, short lashes, my eyes definitely don't look anywhere near as big. Whereas, I pop on a set of falsies and bam, my eyes are nice and big and doll like :)

    • @Camig_v
      @Camig_v 10 лет назад

      if you have small thin lashes (like mine) you should only put mascara on the tips after you curl them hope it helps

    • @laurencurtis
      @laurencurtis  10 лет назад +6

      I know it definitely helps, but I guess my point was that if I don't apply my mascara the right way or I use a mascara that doesn't work well for me then they don't look nearly as long!

    • @pathletical
      @pathletical 10 лет назад +2

      Lauren Curtis That makes sense. :) However, no mascara will make short, thin lashes look truly long and thick like yours. I'm just jealous haha :)

  • @JazzminAveena
    @JazzminAveena 10 лет назад +7

    I think the whole "big eyes" thing, it's not the more space between the lash line and brow bone, but instead there's more light. You add a highlight to the inner corner of your eye, to make them appear bigger, so I'd think the same would apply to your actual eye lids? If you don't have heavy eyeliner, or insanely thick lashes, your eyes aren't as darkened by shadows, and give off the illusion of more space, therefore appearing bigger.

    • @laurencurtis
      @laurencurtis  10 лет назад +5

    • @123abcd..

    I've been using the Sumptuous Volume mascara for a few months now and I have to agree, it's AMAZING. I've completely dropped eyeliner (except for more dramatic looks) because I feel like this mascara is more than enough. 100% agree with you on all of these tips!

  • @itskotaaa
    @itskotaaa 10 лет назад +3

    I can NEVER just do a simple brown in the crease and shimmer on the lid on myself. I can do it on other people no problem, but I guess it's just the structure of my face that makes it really dramatic really quickly. my eyes are semi hooded, so when I'm looking down at the mirror it looks fine and daytimey, but when I'm looking straight ahead it looks really dark and dramatic. I don't know how to explain it. I have natural shadows that fall in my creases which makes it look like I have something in the crease naturally, so when I actually put something in the crease it looks just really dark and smoky. Because of that, I can never do daytime looks like this. it sucks!

    Is there anyway to tint or dye your eyelashes for us who are blond, like Lauren, but without products made for that? (We don't have that in my country), and without hir dying products? (I think they might fall down if i try that)... I usually don't even use two coats of rimmerl, so my eyelashes are never being on constant products, but i'm so frikin tired of having to use mascara everytime i have to go something. Also with my eyebrows... :( Any ideas? Thank you!

      I think most chemists have kits to die your eyebrows, usually they just say for eyebrows and eyelashes.. I use the 1000 hour die on mine and I Havnt had a problem... but if you can't find them you could try going to a place that waxes eyebrows...? most of the time you'll find they die a swell and it lasts pretty long too☺️

    i like that you showed technique as well as what goes best with what brushes and something very wearable as opposed to "you should buy this eyeshadow and this eyeshadow to make this crazy thing you won't even know how to do" as most beauty Gurus do. I prefer videos that incorporate little detailed techniques that go a long way.

    Idk if you read your comments Lauren. But I think you should dye your hair darker. That light blonde color washes your features out. Darker hair would make your features pop, especially your eyes. C:

    I checked to see how much the mascara she uses is and it is $48 here in Australia! Can anyone recommend any cheaper alternatives for a mascara that lengthens with out clumping?

      I agree. The new Rimmel wonder'full mascara is amazing.
      I've tried too faced better than sex, and multiple other high end mascaras, but I've ditched them all for this mascara.
      It's lovely and doesn't clump

      By far the best mascara EVER is the Urban Decay Perversion mascara!! It is absolutely amazing, it lenghtens and gives incredible volume!

      It's nearly impossible to find urban decay here!!
      However, there's a new sephora in sydney, they may have it?

    I used to use dark eyeliner only on the top and didn't wear mascara on my bottom lashes because I thought it made my eyes pop more. Wow was I wrong. I used your eye look in this video today and it was such a big difference on the appearance of my eyes. Thank you so much!

    please do a Kylie jenner makeup tutorial! Im kind of over all the winged eyeliner looks that everyone on youtube does, so if you could possibly recreate the ones without the winged eyeliner and just the kind of smoky dark brown eyeliner ones like the ones on her instagram page that would be awesome (:

    • @MichelleLyn84
      @MichelleLyn84 10 лет назад +1

      I think it all depends on the person's eye shape and eye lid space. I'm like Lauren and winged liner plus eye liner on my waterline just makes them look so teeny tiny! I totally rock almost this same look on a day to day basis. Just some different products.

    • @margueriteaimee
      @margueriteaimee 10 лет назад +2

      I don't have a lot of eye lid space but a small cat eye can look great if I do it the right way! If I do a thick one though, bam it looks like I have no eyelids and closes off the eye. Also I barely ever use black in my waterline, that shrinks my eyes so much.

    • @genesisoneal2834
      @genesisoneal2834 10 лет назад

      Exactly! Never an exaggerated one! Really ? I have super small eyes and I think it makes them bigger as long as I put some on my lash line a thin line (with black or brown powder over top) :) I think white makes my eyes smaller!!!! Haha the irony :p

    its weird how people want to have big eyes yet i have huge eyes and everyone calls me E.T (which is funny cause i secretly look kinda like him) and froggy and bug eyes and ruin my middle school experience like....
    Them : "You have big eyes"
    *Me* : "Wow i didnt know that i come from a place where we dont use mirrors, thank you kind sir"
    But in reality
    Them : Wow you look like E.T because your eyes are huge
    *Me* : *awkwardly runs away and cries*
