the smokey eye was so gorgeous i didnt even notice your eyebrows not being done until you mentioned it the entire time i was just omg your eyes ....aahhh so gorgeous!
thank you for this step by step vid Lauren, I always have struggled with smokey eyes and this tutorial nailed it for me!! I actually like how you gradually blended each colour into the crease, and then shaded your eyelids to bring it all together it really does help. I recreated this look and it looked great thanks so much!!
I love your tutorials so much Lauren!!! Do you think you could do a video on your favourite products for your body? As in fav moisturiser, exfoliator, fake tan and that sort of thing.
Dear Lauren, I just LOVE your beautiful, natural look. You are simply gorgeous and really know how to play up your features; as well as make terrific tutorials that are so easy to follow. By the way, I adored the video you did with your Mum...I could feel the affection you share with each other. Keep up the good work!
I'm starting my make up course in February 2016, and you're legit my inspiration and I've learn mostly every technique from your videos, so thank you x
This tutorial is brilliant, for ages I've just been slapping on black eyeshadow and hoping for the best, could never get it to look blended at all but I've just practiced using this video and it came out perfectly! Thank you so much for sharing your expertise :)
You can use the same techniques but I would use a lighter eyeshadow. Hers was cool but probably for your occasion. Then it again it just depends on your preference and what your wearing.
The coolest thing about you Lauren is the fact you do amazing makeup that's is exaggerated and big and that works for my dance groups. My studio is doing a dance this year and I'm DEFF using this tutorial! Thank you ❤️
Absolutely in love with the look Lauren! Just tried it on myself and am so happy with how simple yet effective it really is! Thanks for the lovely tuts!
I think I've watched like 30 videos trying to find inspiration for a new smokey eye and new looks for myself and honestly I can say that this is my favorite right now. I just love how you did this and it is so beautiful! and i really like how detailed you were and that you said each brush you used it frusterates me when people dont say what they are using. So I really like you videos!
Is this really a tutorial for beginners? O.o This looks pretty advanced out considering all the brushes and how to apply the colors together. It looks really good. But not super easy either...Does anyone agree with me? :3
I really want to give you a big hug! I have never done a makeup course before but doing makeup has been something that I have always loved and I get a lot of compliments on how I apply my make up.. HOWEVER the black smokey eye is like you said unforgiving if messed up haha. I would have never thought to start with a brown base and then build from that?! It ads dimension to the look and I love it. Thank you!
I bought the L'Oreal True Match today! For the past three years I have religiously only used bare minerals and was afraid to try something else. I decided I was ready to try something new and I LOVE IT!!! I never would have thought to get it if you hadn't suggested it over and over. Keep posting videos! I love your tips :)
I really like your videos I just subed! But i have some questions...I'm newer to applying makeup and such...though I'm 24...so...like in really like the idea of a smokey eye...but the colors you used look a little to much like bruises to me...what other colors would you suggest to make a smokey eye with? As well how on earth do you keep your mascara from flecking on your top lid?!? I have longer lashes and they always ruin my eyemakeup I JUST finished...how can I help that from happening
whenever I try to do a smokey eye, I end up with a black eye *sighs*😂 btw I love your videos your awesome Beautiful and flawless #goals love you♥️♥️ and keep doing your thing!
I love your tutorials! Of course I adjust the shades to better suite my skin tone but I love how you take the time out to explain why and how. Thanks a bunch!
Loved the look, just in my opinion the lashes were a bit too much with such a dark eye? The mascara was great and made your lashes look long enough already, the brows maybe a bit out of shade as well, lovely definition though!💕
This takes her 6 mins, when my basic makeup, foundation, eyeliner, mascara, eyebrows, takes me almost 30 mins to do in the morning for school , so embarrassing.
I think this look should probably look good on someone like myself who has hooded eyes as well because the lid is all the same colour and it blends out and up. It's so frustrating sometimes putting all that work into a smokey eye that transitions from light to dark only to hardly be able to see it.
Lauren, you are just perfect!!! Ugh!!! Thank you so much for the detailed video, every time I tried doing a smokey eye, I used only black eyeshadow!! How embarrassing!!! Now I know what transition colors to use!! You're the best!! Thank you!!!! You're gorgeous!!!
I don't know wether this is just me but why cant these people ever use actual affordable products I mean even when they do what they consider to be drugstore makeup they still use products like L'Oreal Paris or max factor now people like myself who are on a budget cannot afford 10 quid for a foundation let alone 30 anyways rant over 😏 no hate though lauren I do like your channel x
+Samantha Roccoforte did you consider the fact there are teenagers and young people who only work part time hours while they are at school? obviously they cannot afford to splurge on makeup. your comment is poor.
honey I do love make up, but I'm only 16 yo and here in Portugal I can't have a job until 18, so I can't buy expensive make up. That way I prefer go to Primark to buy some brushes and lipsticks and use the aliexpress site to buy a lot of products. You only need to be smart and learn how to do great make up with chip products, its not impossible at all ;)
I didn't like it either... but it looked better once she pout on the false lashes. I actually hate when people use tape for their makeup. XD But it does say it's for beginners, so maybe that's the point of It.
I don't whether it's because I'm Asian or because I'm tan or because I did it wrong, but look just looked horrible on me. Like I got punched in the eye several times.
I just wanted to let you know that I'm only 15 but I'm going through an incredibly tough time in my life right now and I can't explain to you how much easier and happier you make my life:) thank you
Wow I dont know how you came up with this way of doing a smokey eye but its GENIUS! Im such a beginner in "smokey eye" look, and even when it comes to lashes and black liner. So, I thank you for this wish I found it sooner!!
Thankyou so much Lauren!! I struggle so much with smokey eyes...and i love doing them but they never look clean .. more like a mess of dark colors .. and this step by step way is sooo easy to understand... you're the best!! looking forward to the base video
Your eye makeup is always flawless and effortless. Make it look so easy! Great video, beautiful as always
thank you!!

this is gonna sound weird but i love how much room you have on your eyelids to apply the eyeshadow
lol yes. i have no eye lid :(
I know I want here eyelids
Me too I have no eyelids :(

It's not weird! She just has very large lids and not very hooded eyes.
You have the most beautiful eyes!!! Gorge as always!

I love your tutorials so much Lauren!!! Do you think you could do a video on your favourite products for your body? As in fav moisturiser, exfoliator, fake tan and that sort of thing.

Dear Lauren, I just LOVE your beautiful, natural look. You are simply gorgeous and really know how to play up your features; as well as make terrific tutorials that are so easy to follow. this really does make your eyes look bigger & it makes the blue in your eyes pop so much! Love it ♥
wowwww..its modelling-time for you missy!!!!!!
Of all the tutorials you've done this is by far my fav. You look amazing and the colours go so well together
Wow the best I've seen 😍 its so does not look like u got punched in the eye, because of how well u blended.
Do you think this is appropriate for my brothers engagement dinner? Were going to a really fancy restaurant in the city
yes:)
You can use the same techniques but I would use a lighter eyeshadow. Hers was cool but probably for your occasion. Then it again it just depends on your preference and what your wearing.
Probably too harsh*
The coolest thing about you Lauren is the fact you do amazing makeup that's is exaggerated and big and that works for my dance groups. My studio is doing a dance this year and I'm DEFF using this tutorial! Thank you ❤️
u don't need fake lashes cuz ur natural eyelashes are amazing
true!! but it's fun to play around with different lashes from time to time (: Sometimes it even transforms the look.
even if you don't need eyelashes, eyelashes just finishes off the look.
True 😄😄
This smoky eye looks awesome with your eye color! Beautiful as always!!!
This look is absolutely stunning!
Lauren you're my absolute favourite! Such a great video, thank you! I always thumbs up as the video is loading because I know I'm going to love it!
You have gorgeous lashes!! dont even need false lashes!
Absolutely in love with the look Lauren! Just tried it on myself and am so happy with how simple yet effective it really is!
Thanks for the lovely tuts!
Trop trop trop beau !! Tu es magnifique vraiment :)

you're sooooo gorgeous love all your videos! 😍
first smokey eye ive seen where the eyes actually look bigger after. good job!
Is this really a tutorial for beginners? O.o
This looks pretty advanced out considering all the brushes and how to apply the colors together. It looks really good. But not super easy either...Does anyone agree with me? :3
It's pretty easy but of course practice makes perfect & patience ! Also the tape really help from things getting too messy
Lauren: So, first things first...
Me: I'm the realist
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
By far my favorite look you have ever done! GORGEOUS!
I really like your videos I just subed! Brown tones are my absolute FAVOURITE palettes for smokey eyes.
I think that your base make up is the best that I have ever seen :) it looks flawless

I literally am amazed by your makeup. Flawless work! Love ya Lauren!
Loved the look, just in my opinion the lashes were a bit too much with such a dark eye? The mascara was great and made your lashes look long enough already, the brows maybe a bit out of shade as well, lovely definition though!💕
I LOVE your tutorials. They are so helpful! Not to mention this smokey eye is gorgeous, as are you. Always FLAWLESS!
This takes her 6 mins, when my basic makeup, foundation, eyeliner, mascara, eyebrows, takes me almost 30 mins to do in the morning for school , so embarrassing.
😂😂😂same😞
+Mikeyyismyloverr Thats so true haha
You're absolutely stunning, such clear makeup tutorials too. Love it.
your eyes are so beautiful and so is your makeup, although. I actually like your natural brow color better that the drawn on one.
Love this look so much, very unique to the usual smokey eye tutorials on youtube ! Beautiful as always Lauren :D
I think this look should probably look good on someone like myself who has hooded eyes as well because the lid is all the same colour and it blends out and up. It's so frustrating sometimes putting all that work into a smokey eye that transitions from light to dark only to hardly be able to see it.
I'm obsessed with your eyelashes!!
I actually thought your eyebrows looked better more natural. A really lovely look though :)
Absolutely gorgeous as always!
Surely not a beginners look.
She means it's for beginners because she explained exactly how to create a smokey eye and why she did every single step she did.
Lauren, you are just perfect!!! Ugh!!! Thank you so much for the detailed video, every time I tried doing a smokey eye, I used only black eyeshadow!! How embarrassing!!! Now I know what transition colors to use!! You're the best!! Thank you!!!! You're gorgeous!!!
cute but i still find it hard to choose the colors 😞
Omg I never thought of using tape for my eyeshadow. Its so clean and easy. I like how it looks and its not super complicated either.
Does anyone know what computer or camera she is using to get such a clear video?
It's in the description bar, many you tubers post that info :) Canon Rebel t3i and she uses iMovie 11.
Awesome, thank you so much! :)
Who else gets inspired from Lauren's makeup routines and wants to create their own unique looks. I sure do ^_^
I don't know wether this is just me but why cant these people ever use actual affordable products I mean even when they do what they consider to be drugstore makeup they still use products like L'Oreal Paris or max factor now people like myself who are on a budget cannot afford 10 quid for a foundation let alone 30 anyways rant over 😏 no hate though lauren I do like your channel x
maybe you're too poor for makeup then
+Samantha Roccoforte did you consider the fact there are teenagers and young people who only work part time hours while they are at school? obviously they cannot afford to splurge on makeup. your comment is poor.
you should try b h cosmetics very affordable hun and you get a ton of colors
honey I do love make up, but I'm only 16 yo and here in Portugal I can't have a job until 18, so I can't buy expensive make up. That way I prefer go to Primark to buy some brushes and lipsticks and use the aliexpress site to buy a lot of products. Yes! Try BH Cosmetics and Make up Revolution :)
BEAUTIFUL as always Lauren! Your tutorials have inspired me in getting better at applying my daily makeup. LOVE IT! Love all the helpful tips😉☺️
Am I the only one who alot stop staring at her gorgeous eyes!!???
I'm a blonde haired, blue eyed girl myself and your videos help me out tons!
It is tooooo obvious the tape line. Tooo harsh
Yeah that's what I was thinking too
Thats the point. It's to create a sharp line.
***** exactly! oh well. not everyone's taste!
I didn't like it either... but it looked better once she pout on the false lashes. I actually hate when people use tape for their makeup. XD
But it does say it's for beginners, so maybe that's the point of It.
tres jolie comme mek up
I love the grayish burgundy gradient. Dark enough and different! Thank you!
Me*if I watch smokey eye tutorials, I'll be able to do a smokey eye!*
*sometime later*
Me: I look like a fucking racoon, what happened

Ur skin is so clear! How is it so flawless?!
Ughhhh your so pretty
TheMay1010 g
I love the redder color! and your eyeliner by MAC makes your eyes look perfect. such a nice look!
I don't whether it's because I'm Asian or because I'm tan or because I did it wrong, but look just looked horrible on me. Like I got punched in the eye several times.
I have the same time, my theory is I’m not patient enough with my blending.
Love this so much!! I love doing smokey eyes and this is so easy to follow :) beautiful
3:23 once you go black you never go back. 😂Sorry couldn't resist
GORGEOUS! Eyes look beautiful as always
your lower lashes are longer then my upper lashes..
very helpful! I also have light skin and eyes and this is honestly easy and fun! MUCH LOVE
I have hooded eyes and I cannot make the eyeshadow looks and it makes me sad :(
Lisa Eldridge has a smokey eye tutorial for hooded eyes :)
Thank you for another great tutorial! The detail of how you hold the brush is a plus! Bloody gorgeous! Take care!
Its interesting because i love a defined eyebrow but for some reason i LOVE you look without your brows done. You look more seductive. idk.?. i LIKE!!
I just wanted to let you know that I'm only 15 but I'm going through an incredibly tough time in my life right now and I can't explain to you how much easier and happier you make my life:) thank you
living for the eyes but i'm not feeling those brows. Idk maybe it's just because the closeup.

Your eyebrows looked better before you used the eyebrow gel.
Fantastic look, love it. Also love the music on this video Lauren xxxx
#Bombshell ❤
The first beauty channel I totally love! Thanks!
I really like watching you videos, but unfortunately the makeup is often way to full on for me...
Then go find someone else to watch
I've been watching for years and I've never once actually did the make up look haha. Don't listen to idiots^
Ashlee Barker hahaaha thank you!
I do have lots of more natural looks but I will try to do some more!
Beautiful.. Can not wait for part 2.. Your eyes just pop with this look..
I didn't really like the colors that you used on your eyebrows. they made them look so fake!
then again, it's for clubbing c; won't be able to tell in the dark!
The zoomed in camera was really helpful, thanks heaps this look is soooo nice xx
looks a little bit like anna sophie robb
Wow I dont know how you came up with this way of doing a smokey eye but its GENIUS! Im such a beginner in "smokey eye" look, and even when it comes to lashes and black liner. So, I thank you for this wish I found it sooner!!
Too much makeup !! Its just like someone punch u on ur eyes lol
that is not funny i bet if i looked at u youed have a black eye!!
No such thing as 'too much' make up. There is such thing as judgemental assholes though. Run along cow.
Silent butterfly BEST reply I've ever seen lmao
sara A.K. Very crisp punch then, that bruise is magnificently straight. Moron.
Thankyou so much Lauren!! I struggle so much with smokey eyes...and i love doing them but they never look clean .. more like a mess of dark colors .. and this step by step way is sooo easy to understand... you're the best!! looking forward to the base video
I was absolutely hopeless at doing any sort of makeup until i started watching yur videos! Thank you so much!!!
