    Oh I really enjoyed this especially because I loathe the feel of the 'plastisol' when it is printed on black but now I understand. Thank you so much. I am currently going through as many Printful videos as I can to try and understand it all.

    Thanks for the video. Very intresting to see how Kornit machine works. Just ask myself about the thing with white underlayer. Do we need set up print file with white underlayer or create the machine automatically one white underlayer depends on colors? I understand it is automatically but I had a product ordered as sample and the print of lighter color than garment color was without white underlayer so the garment color came through the print. I saw another customer in product review he ordered black hoodie with white print color and the black garment color came really intensive through the white print. So that makes me ask the quest if it automatically by machine or do we need manually make white underlayer?

    • @PrintfulCustomPrinting
      @PrintfulCustomPrinting  3 года назад +2

      We're adding an underlayer automatically to all prints except when printing on white fabric. When printing a white-only design (pure white), we'll print two layers of pure white, while for any other color it'll be these two white layers + an additional layer of the color. We suggest using white with a small toning in it (a tint of blue or yellow) to get an additional underlayer for your design.

    Does Printful only use the Kornit systems for all printing? And are the inks vegan based?

    • @PrintfulCustomPrinting
      @PrintfulCustomPrinting  2 года назад +1

      Hey! We use Kornit Water-based and NeoPigment inks for DTG techniques. They are Oeko-Tex™ certified and vegan. However, each process requires different type of inks. For example, for posters, we use Epson UltraChrome GS3 ink. This ink is GREENGUARD Gold certified. Check out this page to learn more about what type of inks we use ➡️ help.printful.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014007540-What-type-of-ink-do-you-use-

    @3:37 Then why did my customer complain about vinegar smell? When i got the shirt from them it smell like vinegar.

    • @PrintfulCustomPrinting
      @PrintfulCustomPrinting  3 года назад +1

      Hi, thanks for the feedback!:) When unpacking a new shirt or hoodie with a direct-to-garment (DTG) print, you might notice a vinegar-like smell or an off-white residue. It helps the ink bond with the fabric, and without it, the ink would flake off the garment. Don't worry, that's not unusual - it's from a fixation agent applied during the printing process and it's not permanent. The solution is simply to wash the garment! :)
