Where and how are your “raw materials” produced? They are still mass-produced? Are they produced locally? It would be great to be able to follow the whole journey.
Hey, Monicaa, thanks for the feedback! We're continuing to expand our eco-friendly collection, and would be happy to hear your product suggestions. We can't add everything, but our New Product Development will have a look. 💚
Depending on the product category, we use different types of packaging, however, this is still an area that requires a lot of improvement from our side. Last year we switched from tubes to triangle boxes for our posters to eliminate plastic caps. Also, our jewelry, biodegradable phone cases, mugs, and framed wall art are shipped in cardboard boxes. Boxes might be used for larger apparel orders as well. Last, but not least, in the upcoming months all our poly-mailers will have recycled content (30%-70% depending on the facility) as well. This is where we stand now, but it's just the beginning of our journey.
We regularly review our pricing and lower it when applicable, however, keep in mind that our pricing also includes printing, labor, our platform, customer support, and all the other features we offer without any extra charge. Besides, sustainable fashion gives you a place for larger margins if advertised right.
yes, I'm agree., the prices is to high for the merch, as it's all produced in Latvia and then delivers to America.. so I think It's better for you to use local printing service than to order it from Latvia, you can order it even from China, the prices will be lower but i think quality will be the same
here is why you should avoid Printful offerings , goes to the channel @Reyes The Entrepreneur and search for the video "Why I don't use printful for my clothing brand shirts." , guy explained why: "In this video, I show you how to start a clothing brand with printful. How to set up a store in printful, how to design a shirt in printful and how to sell your shirts with printful. Pretty much a printful review but in my honest opinion, printful sucks and this is why.
Ruslan VJ Trueman People normally choose Printful ‘cause their quality is SUPER and they also can sync to loads of stores, sites like Etsy and EBay, Even Wish.
Thank you for keeping my small dream alive. Because I don't have the same item . I make it once and once I decide to take it out of my front store then it will not be back. I am committed to do one of a kind print. 🙏☺️🐕👁️☕🌞👌☀️👌👌👌👌
This is great information. I'd love to take a screen shot right at 29 seconds and post about what you guys are doing to avoid all this waste. People need to see to believe. Thank you so much for the video. Very valuable.
I'd like to know where the fabrics and clothes are produced. It seems like you're "only" doing the printing, or do you also make the clothing and fabrics?
Hey! The source varies by product. All of this info can be found on our website when checking out a specific product. 😊 Some of the blanks are sourced from our suppliers, and there or some that are completely produced by us in-house.
It's nice that you are introducing more eco friendly product options. But there still isn't even a single eco shirt that's available in all facilities and in different colors. That means I can't sell my European customers the same shirt as my US customers which is highly annoying. Having shirts printed in the US and then send them to Europe is not eco friendly.
Hey! Shipping long distance isn't eco-friendly, we agree on that. Unfortunately, not all suppliers have stock availability across all fulfillment regions, so we're trying to find similar alternatives, but can't guarantee exactly the same models around the world.

What happens when a garment doesn't fit and the Person wants to do an exchange. Do they have to send it back to the US or do you have return centres in Germany? Also do they have to pay for postage?
Please keep in mind that we do not refund orders for buyer’s remorse. Returns for products, face masks, as well as size exchanges are to be offered at your expense and discretion. If you choose to accept returns or offer size exchanges to your end customers, you would need to place a new order at your expense for a face mask or a product in another size. If your customer decides to return the order without getting in touch with you first, here's where they are sent ➡️ help.printful.com/hc/en-us/articles/360014065699-Where-are-returns-sent- However, any claims for misprinted/damaged/defective items must be submitted within 4 weeks after the product has been received. For packages lost in transit, all claims must be submitted no later than 4 weeks after the estimated delivery date. Claims deemed an error on our part are covered at our expense.
Hi, Richard! We recently started using bags made of post-consumer recycled plastics for all apparel orders shipped from our in-house facilities. We’ll keep exploring greener packaging options in the future. 😊
@@PrintfulCustomPrinting Hi, thanks for the reply. I would say thats it’s a good first step. But the problem with post consumer plastic is that it usually can’t get recycled a second time. So it just ends up in the landfill. Why not do like Tpop or Teemill, they have awesome no-plastic packaging.Printful being much bigger, I feel like you should be able to do the same. So i don’t understand why you are still using plastic…
Thank you for your feedback! While we do agree that there's room for growth, implementing new options like that take time. However, we're working on them and hope to offer more sustainable products and packaging in the future. For example, in addition to using bags made of post-consumer recycled plastics, we also switched tube containers with plastic tops to triangular cardboard packaging for our posters to eliminate unnecessary use of plastic. But like we said, we’ll keep exploring greener packaging options in the future. 😊
@@PrintfulCustomPrinting Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, I understand. Let us know when you swtich to a plastic free packaging option. I am starting a print on demand merch store and the packaging is the only thing preventing me from choosing Printful. I'm looking forward to see what you do in the, hopefully near, future. Thank you. :)

Hey, Yaroslav, of course, things are changing over time. Hundred years ago we weren't aware of all the environmental issues businesses are creating. Now that we have the knowledge, let's join our forces to do what's best for our planet and us. 😊
What else do you want to know about selling sustainable apparel?

can you get your hands on Dri-fit wear?

I want to use printful 100% for my business. But I need a lot more eco friendly products 😭💖 can’t wait to see more growth!

Hey! You can see it explained step by step over here ➡️ www.printful.com/how-printful-works 😊
Hello. Have companies thought about sustainability one century ago the way they do now?
Hey, Yaroslav, of course, things are changing over time. Hundred years ago we weren't aware of all the environmental issues businesses are creating. Now that we have the knowledge, let's join our forces to do what's best for our planet and us. 😊
Yes!!! Love it!! Thank you!
Why don't they give the garments to those in need like orphanages instead of throwing it in the landfills?
We at Printful donate damaged and returned products to local charities, like the Red Cross, the American Kidney Fund, and Goodwill.
