A ruling dismissing a Muslim student’s High Court challenge against a ban on prayer rituals at her school is a “victory” for all others, its headteacher has said. Michaela Community School in Brent, north London, faced legal action from the pupil, who claimed its policy was discriminatory and unlawfully breached her right to religious freedom.
In a judgment on Tuesday, a judge concluded the ban did not interfere with the student’s rights and was “proportionate” amid the school’s aim to promote an ethos of inclusivity and social cohesion.
Katherine Birbalsingh, the high-achieving school’s founder and headteacher, said: “A school should be free to do what is right for the pupils it serves.
Smoking Ban:
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is pushing for a major crackdown on smoking in the UK as MPs have agreed to support the government's plan to create a "smoke-free generation" and decrease the number of deaths related to smoking.
The ban primarily targets the sale of cigarettes rather than the act of smoking itself. Under the new law, the legal age for buying cigarettes, currently 18, will increase by one year annually, meaning that those born in or after 2009 won't ever be allowed to purchase cigarettes legally, effectively banning them.
Current smokers won't be affected, but to combat underage sales, the government plans to introduce £100 on-the-spot fines for shops in England and Wales caught selling tobacco and vapes to minors.

What's happening in this school is indicative of this country and immigration in general. People come here knowing it's a successful country with certain values, and come from somewhere that is problematic and struggling. Then when here, they do everything they can to make it exactly like the place they came from - thus removing what made it able to flourish in the first place.

If the parents do not speak English, according to the rules they cannot get citizenship, so how did they get Legal Aid. We spend millions every year translating various Government documents and application forms into different languages, why?

Go back to the Christian values and ethos in our Schools. It did us no harm but did teach us discipline, respect etc. Children were better behaved and had respect for elders. If you have a different religion, you could participate for inclusion purposes which helps you integrate into British life and customs while also being committed to your own religion. This shows respect for one another and gives the opportunity to learn about other religions through the curriculum, allowing these children to bring their knowledge and experience to enrich others.

Can't the media even do the most basic research about this. There was never a ban on prayer at this school, the school only said they would not provide any facilities for prayer like prayer rooms because they don't have the space. Students were free to pray as long as it didn't impact running of the school and other students. All parents were made aware of this before the kids were enrolled.
They should be made to pay that money back, and if these people don't like our laws and our culture they can leave this country and go find a country that will accommodate them. If they are not willing to except our culture it's not up to us to change our ways they should if they want to live in our country.
Growing up in the 70s and 80's, we had religious (christian) assembly, every morning. These were stopped, early 80s, because of Islam and now they want their prayer time to be permitted

The post office wrongfully accused almost 1,000 postmasters of a crime they didn’t commit. How the f*** does a school girl secure £150,000 to sue probably the best school in the UK. A school that actually promotes inclusion and integration and treats everyone as equals and provides equal opportunities. WHO approved this £150,000 funding to try and islamise a school that was so caring. I can barely speak about this.
