- At Custom Night Vision we have a few different ways that our customers can purchase intensifier tubes for their night vision devices. While we maintain the largest inventory of night vision products in the industry, it does come with some difficulties. We list as many tubes on our website for live inventory as humanly possible, we also have tubes set aside for our hand picked orders as well. In this video Kevin gives us a break down of the the hand picked purchasing experience and what to expect when we are tasked with selecting tubes for a customer.

Shoot I remember in the military we were lucky to get a set that didn’t have crazy blems much less a good SNR. I remember the first set I was issued were green phosphorus with small to medium sized blems. We are spoiled today because not only can we purchase NVGs but we can pick what tubes we want if you have the money.

I’m gonna pay all the money for the best tubes they have to lovingly place them in the safe and never use them because all my friends are poor and shooting at night by yourself is sad.

L3 got upset about Argus outselling them with a cheaper clone of their housings at a better price point witg a better warranty and threatened contract terminations, at least that's what a friend in the industry let me in on, could be wrong, but from the American Night vision association or whatever they're called they got really anti Argus due to loosing out on money and sales to them I feel like it's pretty accurate

I used to go out and have fun with my 33snr binos, but the internet told me they suck so now i just sit inside staring at a blank wall yelling at my fpn and my two zone 3 pepper spots. Someone talk me off this ledge.
this is the problem. I frequently talk to people so paralyzed by indecision they never even buy night vision. GUYS THE DATA SHEET IS NOT EVERYTHING. customers have turned fom into like a social hierarchy..
Can you list the photocathode sensitivity?
I agree. It would be very helpful to have this spec listed
*sigh* do you see a big difference in performance between a 1900 and 2400 photocathode sensitivity? lol .. ill see what I can do. you can always call and ask, we can provide it f its not listed.
Hand-select tubes for GPNVGs?
we dont build those so no but we will always provide photos and specs upfront before the transaction.
Hand picked for me, my tism will not allow me to make a decision otherwise.

Bring back 1431's and cancel L3. I hate the arrogance of L3. I'm glad photonis isn't arrogant anymore. They are so much better now. L3 should do the same. They are not god.
I used to share that opinion very strongly and still do to a point, but I gotta give credit where it's due, they are both the king of nightvision having the only design for an unfilmed tube that won't die immediately from positive ion poisoning, but also the kings of gate keeping. I had some Echo+ tubes that I did enjoy very much, wish the high gains would been around when I bought cause I probably wouldn't have gotten rid of them
@@dmaraschky1 I'm 100% with you. I'm also an Unfilmed enjoyer. But this is no reason to be such an ignorant a-hole company.
And I mean, it's not Filmless. But they created the first new film. It performs like it's Filmless but it isn't. And this is huge for Gen3! They definitely deserve the credit.
But look at Elbit. They have the best MTF on the Gen3 market. Best contrast.
But they never even mentioned it in their marketing. Elbit is such a lovely company. They're not on a power trip.
