amazing buck!! I lived in the area for the past 8 years and just moved to FL right when late season archery started. It was killing me. Love this Video, that country brings me a lot of joy just seeing the trees and the snow. Ive sat many of days not seeing a thing but always grateful haha. love it.

Great video you guys slayed it this year. Had a similar issue this year, but my go pro battery went dead as my buck was coming in following a doe. Took about 10 minutes to for them to get close enough to shoot and the cold sucked my battery dead. Oh well, self filming is hard.
That’s exactly what happened to me, it was so cold that the batteries were not working right and mine died about a minute before my first shot. Wyatt has the newest GoPro and didn’t have that problem
My favorite deer to hunt is a migratory blacktail in the sub-alpline/alpine. The most challenging deer to hunt in North America. Any mature Blacktail buck with a bow is among the highest achievements in hunting! Looking forward to your video.

Not many guys bow hunted this year compared to average, most guys jumped on that any legal weapon tag with the November 10 end date. Next year is really no different.
I grew up on blacktail and they taste good but a desert mule deer is better and an Axis deer is better than that. I don’t eat much whitetail. I like elk but seem to prefer mule deer and Axis deer the most.

Distilled down further a big mature Coast Range Blacktail buck is (in my opinion) the top trophy. No snow or migrating to speak of.. brushy and steep.
