That’s a cool hunt well done I went to Arizona in February to shoot the SWN F-class travelled from lreland is there any hunting in February to be done there
The OTC deer ends at the end of January but there might be opportunities for mountain lion, fishing, or small game. I’d have to check the regulations. Arizona is a beautiful state and site seeing Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest, Cliff dwellings, is worth the travel alone.
I was camping out of my truck, it’s a long bed with a canopy. I could pitch a tent but I like to move around and cover lots of spots, plus it’s really cold at night and the canopy is insulated. I think that was day five in 2022. I hunted 11 days this year and had three close opportunities but couldn’t get it done.
@@brandoncousins8673 nope. Most of the state has open units but you have to watch for the closure list because of the quota system. Definitely need to read the regulations for deer before buying a tag.
@@AGGITATOR I think I just watched the website link for deer quota. There is some strategy to it the list and how units close on Wednesdays: “When the number of deer equaling the archery deer harvest limit for a particular unit and species has been reported, that unit will be closed to further archery deer hunting at sundown the Wednesday immediately following.” - website
Quit promoting hunting in Arizona, very limited resource with an already over abundance of hunters coming here in December. No need to name the state you are in.
Jerry. I hear you for sure. Oregon has been that way for many years with an influx of hunters from California. AZFG put a 10% cap on non-res OTC tags for 2023 so there will be less this year. I am sorry you felt I was promoting crowding a hunt. I never did see another hunter out of their truck haha. I hear you and hope you can see that my focus is to promote hunting as a whole, this is beyond just Arizona. Times are changing in the west and the more we can unify as hunters the better. 🙏🏽
@@NathanEndicott_Films pay no mind, people think oh don’t come and shoot MY deer….not realizing how much revenue out of state hunters bring in and most times, go home empty handed.
@@aaronmeuser8931 thank you. I just hope Jerry watches the film and hears the message. I read on the AZ deer hunters Facebook page that in the last 20-years, archery has taken 31,700 deer while rifle has taken 250,134 deer. However, I don’t blame him for having feelings, but hope he puts that thinking to work and by getting involved in promoting game management and promoting hunting.
Love the video and the cinematography was great! However, I absolutely agree! No need to name the state, just film the hunt. We have far too many out of state hunters coming in for the game available, even with the new 10% cap. I have been hunting for years and have noticed the populations of deer, javelina, and elk dwindling rapidly within AZ. Moving forward please pay respect to the hunters of those states by not mentioning the state. Did love the video though.

I think the northern units are good at the end of December and the southern units are good the second week in January. However, it’s all so variable based on pockets of deer that don’t follow the normal pattern.
Thank you!
HEY Nathan great vid where did you see the most rut activity southern portion of az or northern?
Northern and I was there the week before Christmas.
So good!
Thank you 🙏🏽
Nathan... Another great story and successful adventure. You had a great season that you'll remember forever. Congratulations!!!
On a side note I've commented before on your videos and I once mentioned I had the exact same Ruger M77 06 that you had on your Idaho hunt. I fly in Saturday. What day next week would work to meet you and your dad at the Bow Rack? I'm coming down either way to check out the shop and pick up some Bow Rack gear!!
Thank you, Ron!
The shop is open Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 6PM. My dad should be there most days but I can check with him this weekend. I could do the lunch hour or at 5PM any day next week!
Yes, hard to forget last year!! While most of the months were pretty challenging, I wouldn’t (can’t lol) change it for the sense of gratitude when overcoming something I was unsure I could heal from. Blessed!

I got busy with family and wasn't able to get down there this trip. However had a great time in Oregon, Sure do miss those mountains
@@Bowhunter66 glad you had a good trip! The weather was great last week. Keep in touch on the next time.
Great content
🙏🏽🏹 hopefully more to come.
Well made video
Thank you! Arizona is an amazing place to hunt. Can’t wait to get back down there!
Sweet buck ! What broadheads did you use ?
I use the Grim Reaper Pro 3.
congrats 👏
Thank you 🙏🏽. Love AZ!
how many days were you hunting? Were you camping?
I was camping out of my truck, it’s a long bed with a canopy. I could pitch a tent but I like to move around and cover lots of spots, plus it’s really cold at night and the canopy is insulated.
I think that was day five in 2022. I hunted 11 days this year and had three close opportunities but couldn’t get it done.
@@NathanEndicott_Films thanks for the reply, I actually just put a camper on my truck and its a long bed too. I was thinking almost the same thing
Nice buck
Thank you, Dustin! 🙏🏽
I'm looking to get OTC archery mule deer tag this year .. if I buy one do they give you a specific zone you have to hunt??
@@brandoncousins8673 nope. Most of the state has open units but you have to watch for the closure list because of the quota system. Definitely need to read the regulations for deer before buying a tag.
U have to call or check online everyday to see if a unit is opened or closed until the following year
@@AGGITATOR I think I just watched the website link for deer quota. There is some strategy to it the list and how units close on Wednesdays: “When the number of deer equaling the archery deer harvest limit for a particular unit and species has been reported, that unit will be closed to further archery deer hunting at sundown the Wednesday immediately following.” - website
Nathan, which unit?
There are a ton that I hunted and all units are good tbh!
what unit is this?
I hunted most of the state. The units identify as “miles” 😬🥾🤙🏽
Looks like the canellos.
I’m not sure but sounds like a cool place!
@@NathanEndicott_Films it’s an area down here in southern Arizona
@@progradepainting3755 I covered a lot of units so you might be right. If not, within a hundred miles.
Quit promoting hunting in Arizona, very limited resource with an already over abundance of hunters coming here in December. No need to name the state you are in.
Boo hoo
