@@michaelemley7318 I’m talking about a different kind of loneliness. What Robin Williams referred to as the loneliness of being surrounded by people and still feeling alone. I think it was existential for Gloria.
Amazing performance - a highlight of the whole show. Sciorra had turned down The Sopranos previously. It's like she was waiting for exactly the right moment and exactly the right character. Her instincts paid off, resulting in this iconic piece of television drama.
She was wrong, Tony did care, Melfi cared a lot too. A lot of people with SI say that despite it not being true, sort of a way to pass the guilt of your actions away.
Annabella Sciorra wtf... honestly this is the first time in ages I am watching her perform here and by god did she kill it!! What an incredible performance.
In an SNL skit, Christopher Walken played a extremely polite guy who is hired to end romantic relationships for high-worth men. Patsy represents the other end of the spectrum.

I was looking for a compilation like this a while back to show a friend who had a relationship with a very similar woman. I had to find as many clips as I could on RUclips and put them in order. This video is great. Thanks
Gloria was always my favorite. She had her own issues, but at least she was independent and did her best. Poor woman had a tragic end. Definitely less of a bimbo and more of a deeper layered woman that Tony had. Sad she had BPD
Maybe your best one yet. Quite moving, actually. Sciorra was so damn good in that role. Maybe pulled some of that emotion from her awful treatment by Weinstein.
@josephtalmadge3108 I mean she spits in his face...he literally picks her up at one point and throws her on the floor (that took some choreography)...amazing stuff. And remember the little dance she did in her undies to the Little Steven tune? So many memorable scenes.
Annabella Sciorra has always been a top notch actress in my book. To me what made her scenes was the terrified look on her face when Patsy was threatening her in that car, the level of detail in her facial expressions was incredible.
I don't understand why people see Gloria's character so one-sidedly. She's been taken advantage of by men all her life, and Tony does the same to her, even if he means no harm. He knows from the beginning that Gloria wants him completely, and he knows that he can never give her that because of his family. Nevertheless, he enters the relationship, uses her as an object, and then throws her away. He even sends that psycho Patsy on him, who threatens her with death. I've lived with a toxic woman, but Gloria is definitely not that. He just wants to be loved and is disappointed too many times. Poor little bird. I feel sorry for her deeply.
@@ratedRblazin420 A damaged woman will always choose trash men and Tony Soprano was really trash. Those guys only use women who are just looking for affection.

Both things can be true. Gloria clearly had some serious emotional problems, and such problems can make people toxic, even if that's not what they intend.
The reason why I was so attracted to her and loved their relationship was because of how relatable it is. I have had two toxic exs in the past and they can be the best but when they have their moments ou boy that craziness can really come out, they acted just like gloria. She gave me flashbacks and fueled my PTSD 😂😂
Interesting that the writers would include a complex character like Gloria Trillo to the storyline. She adds a layer to the psychological drama, exposing Tony to an extremely dangerous relationship. When Gloria goes into a rage, she tried to stab him with a corkscrew. In a literal sense, screw him over. Just like when she drove Carmela home that day. Dangerous. There was that scene, where Tony is begging Gloria to spend the day with him. In the end, it was Gloria begging Tony to stay with her. The Amour Foux. Crazy Love. A song written by Van Morrison. Found on the same album as "Glad Tidings (From New York)". A coincidence? I don't think so.
I think many of us have experienced a complex woman like her at some point in life. That's if you stayed single long enough to ENJOY this. Crazy is quite the aphrodisiac. But long term dangerous.

I suggest everyone to watch the new movie starring Annabella Sciorra, "Fresh Kills", a great mob story, directed by Jennifer Esposito. It's really worth watching, believe me.
It’s almost insane when you rewatch clips just how much you realize that basically every person Tony interacts with is worse off because of it. Gloria killed herself. AJ an abject failure. Meadow forever has to hold water for him, and has to live feeling simultaneously guilty while also grateful while also in denial (and if it really did end the way we all think it did, forever scarred). Chris dead, Bobby dead, Silvio dead, Ralph dead, Jackie Jr dead, Puss dead, cop fired, Artie’s restaurant cooked and then scammed, Valentina burned, Scatino busted out and his kids losing their college savings, the list goes on and on. Man was a tumor that spread cancer to basically everything he touched
Tony really liked her the most out of all of the mistresses. He admired her independence & resourcefulness. He was really trying to be honest & straight up w/ her, which he rarely is🤨. It's unfortunate that she was so unstable🤪. But then again, she told him she was in therapy b/c she was a serial killer who murdered 7 relationships. Maybe, he thought she was joking.
I’m so glad that comments about “the makings of a varsity athlete”, or “get your fucking shinebox” never stop being funny, even after seven thousand times. (I mean, when people write that, do they think “I’m gonna write this great, original joke here, people are bound to find this reference funny!” ?) Anyway, great collection of scenes here: this was a role that Annabella Sciorria nailed, because it’s not easy to portray a crazy woman believably. She didn’t play it like Gloria was insane 100% of the time: she seemed to be pretty normal at times, to then subtly change into a drama queen with all the fireworks and trouble people like that create. And the dream sequences that Tony has about her are so excellent: that combination of absurdity, desire and memories are just about the best depictions of dreams to ever be shown on TV/film.

@@michaelemley7318 I’m talking about a different kind of loneliness. What Robin Williams referred to as the loneliness of being surrounded by people and still feeling alone. I think it was existential for Gloria.
Or she's 🥜🥜🥜

Jesus Christ .. what an exceptional piece of writing.. this show is Amazing .. great editing by the content creator btw … salud
Kudos to David Chase, James Gandolfini, Annabella Sciorra, and whoever wrote this compelling storyline!!!
Amazing performance - a highlight of the whole show. Sciorra had turned down The Sopranos previously. It's like she was waiting for exactly the right moment and exactly the right character. Her instincts paid off, resulting in this iconic piece of television drama.
Season 3 was the best and a big part of that was “Gloria”.
When she said "Nobody cares if im alive or dead" i rly felt that.
Oh sure??? Take 💩 wherever you please???
WTF lol
Who wouldn’t want to take the easy way out…
U good bro
She was wrong, Tony did care, Melfi cared a lot too. A lot of people with SI say that despite it not being true, sort of a way to pass the guilt of your actions away.
Incredible actress.
Annabella Sciorra wtf... honestly this is the first time in ages I am watching her perform here and by god did she kill it!! What an incredible performance.
She's been around a long time. Supposedly Weinstein blackballed her for not playing ball with him.
In an SNL skit, Christopher Walken played a extremely polite guy who is hired to end romantic relationships for high-worth men. Patsy represents the other end of the spectrum.
It's nice to be loved.
God, this really is exactly how I feel about my ex wife recently passing away. From the shock, sadness, guilt, unanswered questions and dreams it’s exactly mirroring my life.
I hope nothing violent happened to her. I'm sorry to hear that.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Goes to show you how narcissistic Tony was blamed Dr Mel for Gloria's suicide when in fact it was tony who was the straw that broke the camals back
They were both responsible the therapist more Tony was a psychopath you should always expect the worst out of him . But she was a shrink her job was to
Make sure suicide never happens !!
Some people can't be helped. Or I should say you can try, but at the end of the day, they need to accept the help.@@MMAdiehardfan
@@MMAdiehardfan the writer precviced Tony to be a psychopath however psychopaths don't show emotion and lack of any empathy which is why I believe Tony character was to be a borderline personality disorder and caused manic depression he was a man who had to be the boss in charge and show no mercy such as force in matters of killing and ruthless behavior but had depressant levels of emotion and empathy in all which caused his erratic emotion of empathy in. The moment however reflecting and having guilt and nightmares in the end in which he only had two nightmares which was with pssy and with Gloria
In hind sight the writer and director was such gems for this show

@@MMAdiehardfanHow the fuck was Melfi responsible? Gloria was a grown up girl she could have helped herself by accepting Melfi’s help and not lying.
Great compilation. Many thanks.
Another immaculate edit. 🔥⚔️
thanks my friend
I am glad you made this one. She played a great quirky character 👌
Carmela, blissfully ignorant, delivering the news of Gloria’s suicide - she unknowingly delivers a fist to Tony’s solar plexus
I was looking for a compilation like this a while back to show a friend who had a relationship with a very similar woman. I had to find as many clips as I could on RUclips and put them in order. This video is great. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
The dreams on this show were wild but accurate. Dreams really are a jumble of your subconscious like this😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
That london broil looked so unseasoned. I'm glad it didn't get eaten.
It took multiple steaks and "takes" for Gloria to hit Tony right where the director wanted it. Maybe not seasoned buy likely tenderized.
It's a show 😂 Jesus 😂😂
annabella is stunning
These two together was so outstanding!!!👍🏻👍🏻
Appreciate this one. Been waiting for a while .this one is gold 💯😂

She was a nut case..not really..
What a beautiful relationship
@@husslekshu77 Ya and I'm playing short stop for da Mets
Gloria was always my favorite. She had her own issues, but at least she was independent and did her best. Poor woman had a tragic end. Definitely less of a bimbo and more of a deeper layered woman that Tony had. Sad she had BPD

Maybe your best one yet. Quite moving, actually. Sciorra was so damn good in that role. Maybe pulled some of that emotion from her awful treatment by Weinstein.
@porter2765 When you're right you're right
@josephtalmadge3108 I mean she spits in his face...he literally picks her up at one point and throws her on the floor (that took some choreography)...amazing stuff. And remember the little dance she did in her undies to the Little Steven tune? So many memorable scenes.
Gloria was the hottest chic on the show hands down............
Her and Valentina for sure
Anna too
Not even close, Charmaine and Adriana were the hottest in my opinion.
And that's saying a LOT.
Meadow’s roommate
Drop an upload whenever you please, and then just walk away.
😂
Haha, after going 0-8 in picking men it's not the men's fault, it's the person choosing the wrong men.
@@ratedRblazin420 A damaged woman will always choose trash men and Tony Soprano was really trash. Those guys only use women who are just looking for affection.
Poor mouse 😔
Tony exacerbated every single oz of trust she had in a person even down to trying to get Tony set up lol. She held on longer than a lot of people would have
Both things can be true. Gloria clearly had some serious emotional problems, and such problems can make people toxic, even if that's not what they intend.
22:06 this sequence always give me chills the way she suddenly switches her tone. Very unsettling

@ceerious If not for Tony, Junior is the best character on the show Skip. Mine are Tony, Junior, Johnny Sack top 3
@ceerious yes sir .. always blunt and to the point.
Outta all the Gummahhs, Tony loves her the most
The reason why I was so attracted to her and loved their relationship was because of how relatable it is.

Tony was a bad person, but there was something what made him so lovable: He new it and he even tried to be a good person.

I’m so glad that comments about “the makings of a varsity athlete”, or “get your fucking shinebox” never stop being funny, even after seven thousand times. (I mean, when people write that, do they think “I’m gonna write this great, original joke here, people are bound to find this reference funny!” ?)
Anyway, great collection of scenes here: this was a role that Annabella Sciorria nailed, because it’s not easy to portray a crazy woman believably.
