You might want to keep those plug wires off the exhaust. How long can that engine stay at peak rpm's? What about mid rpm's (normal operating rev's)? I saw a video where an older gentleman said the Conley V-8's rip themselves apart. You can find videos of those engines starting and idling with quick, short bursts on the throttle but that's about it (due to those engines destroying themselves). He had one in the background but didn't provide any visual evidence to his "Conley supercharged mini V-8's (1/4 or 1/5 scale...I'm not sure) self destruct." I don't blame him for not running his until it falls apart at 1500 rpm's above idle because those engines aren't cheap, but still, no visual evidence is no evidence. That's why I was wondering if this engine is a desktop conversation starter or is it durable? Dependable? Can it be fitted to a transmission and dropped into an appropriately sized rc (I'm thinking: 1/4 scale monster truck) and run around over some rough terrain? i.e. mud, sand, dirt, snow, water/creek fording.
