Mate you just helped me I bought yesterday my 5th node and it’s just stuck on 7,5% syncs for 2 days. I just tried your technique and it works perfectly, I’m over the moon now. Thanks so much like and subscribe from me ❤
Retro Mike great video as always, this information to sync local fast nodes to the selective few running boot nodes, I did not know you can make a fast node sync with another fast node, so why run a boot node aka full node?
Awesome! I have a questeion...other examples I have seen of adding the port number into the config file, they have the port number in quotes. Like --port "30307" you don't have the quotes. Is there a right way or will it work either way?
When you start the node, it sends a command to the chain of your pubkey, ip, and port. If you look on the explorer, you should be able to see it with the corresponding port. Global node list should reflect accordingly.
Hi Mike, actually i'm having a BAD BLOCK ERROR (with a lot of 00000000000) in the log and that node doesn't bring online (even i have others in the same network configured) have you seen some similar? (i've opened a ticket)
Is this only to sync faster or it works al so when i lost peers after mining 3 weeks looking fore peers form2 days now i do what you shon on video but not helping or i do somthing wrong
thank you for this video which will be very useful to me when launching my next 10 nodes. However, do you know a way to move the blockchain from an existing node to a new node? Thx
How can you check that you are definitely syncing from your local nodes? When it selects peers, it is not clear if it identifies the local ones as the ones to sync. I have used the local IP address rather than the external address for the boot nodes. Also, would you not need to open Outbound Ports for the node to be able to connect to the local peers on their respected ports? Thank you.
@RetroMikeTech for my 2nd node i set 30305 in router and in windows, and did --port, but when i boot the node that parameter that you copy paste for bootnodes still says 30303. Is there a way to set that elsewhere?
I bought a 2nd license and cannot edit the file to get off 30303. I cannot find any peers. Error says you do not have rights to screw with files. Security says read only. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Hi Mike, do you know any other nodes that i could run on the same hardware as this? I'm running MYST node currently also but it's not very profitable. I'd appreciate any suggestions!
It only worked on my first node i tried this with, didnt work on any node after that. Is there a reason for that? I'm doing everything the same, trying to connect them to my 1 node that's already synced
It’s just setting the primary peers. It can still go outside the network for other peers and each has a publicly accessible port. It will just try to use internal network bandwidth before using external bandwidth.
very cool. How would this work with the first node as the starting one? are you just using the main ETCCM peer? then for your second and onwards link to your first , second and third nodes, do you just choose say 3 nodes for the script after if you have multiples like 10 nodes or should all nodes follow on from each other? Also is port forwarding always needed as i don't seem to have an issue with that and I notice all nodes run of 30303 by default can that cause an issue if you don't change?
I let me first one sync from the network. If you know someone that has a fully synced node, you can use their node as the bootnode for the first one. Port forwarding allows the network to be stabilized. It's recommended but not a complete deal breaker if you can't set it.
I see ETCMC NODE LAUNCHER 1920x1080 instead in my case. and START_GETH_FAST_NODE1.bat instead contains the command line parameters. While START_GETH_FAST_NODE.bat contains weird lines with each line ending with ^ sign. I tried adding my other node (its enode id with its IP address as per the router) to both but no luck.
I was actually wondering how something like this can be done. You sir, are a life saver. Thank you for the tip
Retro Mike has done it again! Why you don't have more subscribers is beyond me.

Great video RetroMike 👍 Shared it on my Discord to help others with these nodes
what is your discord channel?
If you want the enode id you don't need to stop the node, just click Show Node Data
Thanks. Never even noticed that button was there.
This is great! They run soo much better and I haven't lost a peer since doing this.. Thanks
Great directions per usual! I don't have a node but if I were to get one I know who to come to.
wow !!! thank you for this !!! there was always one node node down looking for peers !!! no problem now !!! thank YOU !!!
Amazing information for the community. Thanks Mike!

Always bringing the 🔥🔥👍🏾… and I don’t even have one of the units… Nice, Bro!!! That’s IT!
Amazing content as always. Thank you for the tip it helped with my third node going in and out
this is the peers fix i was looking for, thank you
basicly you can add any node from the explorer too if i ubderstand this correctly :)
Correct
Thank you for the perfect fix and easy to understand I have never seen your channel before this so gave you a sub thanks again
holy shiet, this is the best! your awesome Mike. Not all heroes wear capes

normally quotes are only needed if you have a space in the value. It's not needed for port but doesn't hurt to add it. Either way is fine.
Amazing job RetroMike, so helpful!
HOW DO YOU set up your node on 30305 how do you change it since they are all on 30303 and all nodes on 6,7,8,9 etc
This video is amazing! it worked perfectly. You could've saved me so much time
I have no interest in these, but clear concise and helpful video as always!
How do you think I pay for all those $4.99 date requests?
@@RetroMikeTech pre-2017 mining rewards, if I had to guess.
If you set your ports to something other than 30303, how do external nodes find you to enable peering?
When you start the node, it sends a command to the chain of your pubkey, ip, and port. If you look on the explorer, you should be able to see it with the corresponding port. Global node list should reflect accordingly.
Gawd damn! Nice man

Whats this RDP management software you using?
Both my nodes are on 30303 how can I change one of them please?
thank you for this video which will be very useful to me when launching my next 10 nodes. However, do you know a way to move the blockchain from an existing node to a new node?
Thx
So this will be done for all the other PC ? What to do on other pc running nodes ?
Hey great video Retro Mike! Thank you!
This works amazingly well!! Thank you!
EPYC content! Thank's mike!
and I hope it doesn't break the warranty of the node or bans the node.

I cant get my second node working any ideas?
Can you make a video step by step on how to set up many nodes nobody has done it that will be very helpfull

Have you noticed a difference if it’s the 127 or the ipv4 in syncing? @Mike
Am I able to hook a male or apple device up for a node?
Thanks so much man! Good stuff 🔥
Also I observed you are using the same IP for all your nodes , but with different ports right?
Thank You Mike
Well done! Thank you!
Hi Mike, do you know any other nodes that i could run on the same hardware as this? I'm running MYST node currently also but it's not very profitable. I'd appreciate any suggestions!
This. Is. Awesome.
you are a live saver thank you

I'm doing everything the same, trying to connect them to my 1 node that's already synced
If I only have one node, would this be advise? I have recently run into a "peers" and therefore sync issue. I am brand new to all of this.
Hi. Thanks for video. Do we need to change bat file in each node or only on one? Because you gave from few nodes infos to only one bat file.
All of them. I demonstrated doing it on one because I was building a new one. My existing ones I had previously configured off camera.
Is there any reason you want to have your nodes on different ports? I have like 10 running on 30303 with no problems yet. Is that bad?
Thank you🎉
The fix of all fixes

Great video ❤
Thanks for video. What program do u use to have access to all nodes?
Terminals. It's a remote desktop manager and allows you to have tabs of RDP sessions.
Does this work on 1.2.3??
I tried to follow the steps, but did not work. It is so sad! I will find other solution that really works!
What is the name of that software to combine mini pc's RDP?
Terminals
Very nice.
Intrigued, would this not reduce the profitability of the nodes as they share one port and piggybacking of each other would dilute the bandwidth?
It’s just setting the primary peers. It can still go outside the network for other peers and each has a publicly accessible port. It will just try to use internal network bandwidth before using external bandwidth.

so I can skip the port part when adding to notepad run file?@@RetroMikeTech
I notice there is 2 fastnode folders, if you are adding this to a nide that has already been going do you need to change both 2 fast node folders.
Hi bud this worked on 3 nodes and but the new 3 it does not work. I did everyting i did for the first 3 any ideas?@@RetroMikeTech
When I stop the node it has a message saying. --bootnodes is not recognised as an internal or external command.
hey thanks for the video, which IP would i use? the device ip? or my local? having a hard time finding my local ip
You can use the device IP.
Jus type in google “my ip” and it will show your ip
Awesome 😊😊😊
So is this still one license per pc ?
Yes, one license per node.
I see ETCMC NODE LAUNCHER 1920x1080 instead in my case.

are you running your nodes as VMs on host machine? didnt think itll work liek that.
No. I have individual mini pc’s for each node
what app are you using to remotely manage them? thanks
@@thanhphuocnguyen4002Terminals
do i have to install Windows Server 2022 on all the mini PC's or just the one i want to use to access?
@@RetroMikeTech
lol I need to do have 9 of them
😔
THANK YOU!!
Which software do u use to remote access nodes?
Terminals. Any RDP client will work.
