Absolutely the best and most professional set of physical therapy exercises for Total Hip Replacement to date. I am currently following the PT instructions for weeks 4-6 Post Op. I'm gaining enormous strength in the thigh and leg, even though my progress is inhibited by a blown knee. Thank you!
Thank you very much. People are asking how many repetitions. I imagine the answer to this would vary, depending on what feels comfortable for each person. Let's say the standard answer is 10 of each... But if this is difficult then do less. If it is too easy then do a few more. With regard to how many times a day, I think the standard answer would be 3...if too difficult do less, if too easy do more. Never strain yourself so that it hurts. I'm not a physio but I'm onto my second hip replacement...
This is week 5 for me and I stopped everything because of depression. Now i found that video then i decided to start again . My state is very bad although i am young 30 years .
For me is 3 week and i am 35 years...in 3 months i maked 2 operation for total hip replacement and for the first i am recovered...now i am waiting to recovery the second and...the same like you my pshihology is a little bit of....but i make all the exersices because i want to walk without pain....BE STRONG!!!
Hope you’re feeling better Sarah. Depression is absolutely an effect from a major operation such as THR. It’s quite depressing to be in constant pain ✌❤
depression is created through your mind, just as you create it you can destroy it and create a new reality for yourself:) check the book of tony robins unlimited power and you will heal :)
If this for anterior or posterior? I'll be at 4 weeks post op in 5 more days and the PT I saw 3 days ago has me doing some of the ball exercise and the straight leg up without bending the other leg and lifting my operated leg all the way up using a stretch band, then holding it 30 secs. He also has me doing squats from a seated position which hurts my knees, so I did them standing up instead and didn't dip as low to avoid knee discomfort. Also, the facility tables aren't height adjustable and the PTs each told me (i had 2 sessions) that there's no other way to get down, and I was afraid did to not having sight of how far the distance was to stretch my foot to get to the floor, and was fearful of twisting my ankle and falling. They had no props to assist in stepping down and would not even watch as I tried getting off the table. I'm 5'4.
A pt. was operated (THR) on 24.02.2021. Surgeon's advice at was to partial weight bearing mobilization with walker. Now 4weeks over. Should the patient go for Complete weight bearing on the operated hip too??
