Starbucks barista here. This is somewhat accurate, but the ratio of syrup to milk/cream is slightly off. We generally tone it down to half of the vanilla you put in that when making smaller batches. Otherwise, the ratio is (almost) correct. Try 3tbsp heavy cream and 1.5 tbsp of milk!
That’s cool, but there isn’t only one way to make it and Starbucks isn’t exactly the coffee recipe standard. I’ll use his recipe instead #fuckstarbucks
This hack worked out so good for me.I could not find the vanilla syrup anywhere, so instead, I used 1 teaspoon of maple syrup, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to make the syrup . and it worked out so well it taste delicious..
This is the base for all the foam. Add another tbs (or 2tsp) of whatever you want and you’ll get all the other foams. They keep the vanilla and don’t substitute for anything else ~ they add to it. Pumpkin, matcha, strawberry, salted caramel has two of those extra small packets, etc.
From personal experience less is more with the fat (heavy cream) if you use to much it becomes over powering and will curdle faster. Also and this is extremely important, idk why he didnt this. Use lowfat milk or fat free for the best/easiest most stable foam and you will get way more of it from less.
Ok I had to come back to report I made this and it was fire. I did an iced matcha latte with some pumpkin spice seasoning mixed in. Then topped with this cold foam but I didnt have vanilla syrup, so I subbed a tsp of maple syrup and a few drops of vanilla. It was the best matcha drink Ive ever had, hands down. And super easy to make. I highly reccomend it🙌
You can but it may not come out as good. Dairy free milks don’t froth. I am dairy free and have tried it before. But then again i haven’t tried mixing it with real heavy cream so I could be wrong.
I love how every RUclipsr thinks everyone has money or at least some that can get these coffee machines. 😂 It makes me want to get one. But sadly I am currently still trying to get a job.
Holy crap. After seeing the first couple seconds of the ridiculous licking of the spoon, I immediately stopped the video, commented this and I am moving on to another channel.
He did not need to lick the spoon like that at all

vanilla syrup NOT vanilla extract dear god do not make the same mistake i did
What happened?!!
Vanilla extract is really concentrated so the vanilla flavor was probably too strong
😂😂 yes lol I can’t imagine that being good!
I was going to do that. Thank you for clarifying. 😮
You can add 1 tbsp of maple syrup and 1-2 drops of vanilla extract.
3tbsp heavy cream
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp vanilla syrup

I did the same, its delicious :)
How bout the milk can u substitute for oatmilk?
@@MS-il7dg yes
u can also add to the vanilla, which is what we do; mactha, strawberry puree, cinnamon syrup, caramel and salt, etc.
How do you add the matcha in?
matcha powder@@SpontaneousVirgo
Sounds delicious!!
ive been supporting local coffee shops nowadays. It tastes way better, especially the vietnamese iced milk coffee!!
Definitely agree!
It’s just condensed milk.
It’s really good with maple extract

Guys you don’t have to use heavy whipping if you don’t have it you can just use milk and froth it
It will not foam/thicken up like heavy cream tho. That’s the difference
Love the double shot from the plastic K-Cup-esque thing XD.
Yes, what was that? We’re we the only ones who noticed?
Ooo i have peach and strawberry syrup that would be a nice cold foam
Make lavender for hot tea ☕️ 😊

While in Italy this past September I tried the Affogato dessert. It’s crazy good. You should do a lesson on it!!

Instead of whole milk can almond milk or oat milk can be used?
Yes

Yes but you still need to use dairy cream. Plant milks/creams dont have enough fat and casein also, the flavour will be super different
I have and it turns out great extra creamy oat milk
What's the point though? You still have to use dairy because of the heavy whipping cream.
Damn bro did not have to do all that to the spoon 😂
Mine was so liquidy 😭 but good recipe I think I just did it wrong
i used 3 tbs of hwc and 2 of milk and i used passionfruit syrup instead its amazoing

So perfect! I do wonder though, do you ever make mistakes and screw up a whole coffee? Would love seeing those bloopers
Can I add coconut milk? I love anything coconut flavor.
you should try coconut extract! i love that stuff
How long do you froth it? To get that same level of consistency
What coffee are you using dude??
Yum!
3-2-1 recipe thank you
Instead of heavy cream can I use a creamer?
damn i'm gonna go buy a milk frother lol
where did you get that glass cup
Cool use of a cometeer pod, love the spoon lick
Was about to ask what that was
Thank you I was scrolling the comments simply to figure out what that was 😊
Can I use vanilla extract instead?
I have that exact same spinner
Starbucks should pay there taxes and pay there staff a proper wage... just sayin😬
Pistachio syrup yummmmmo
Is there a way I can make it with soy milk?
Can you do this without the syrup?
1000% yes

SYRUP! NOT EXTRACT.
That'd be enough extract for an entire cake.
Cool
Vanilla tastic
What kitchen tool is that?

An electric frother
Can I use a blender? How long should I blend it?
I tried it, but it was not good.
Should I use oat milk for my white foam
Pardon my ignorance, but is there a specific vanilla syrup you prefer?
No, Amazon has lots of varieties. Note that you don't have to use syrup vanilla or other; you can add maple, or simple syrup or even nothing
Is this a sweet coffee?? I’m not a fan of bitter 😅
Hey Bro, Starbucks cold foam using skimmed/low fat milk
Do you have to use vanilla
which frother did u use?
I think frother is from Starbucks for 9.99

So that's what I was doing wrong! I was heating the cream beforehand like milk!
