I recently reviewed the Severn. There is a lock tab on the spine but I found it hard to get to because it was so low profile. I like the placement of the lock tab on the Veyron much better. Good stuff brother 👊🏻
Ha ha! FINALLY! I can prove TWO things to my wife! First that there are guys even more into knives than I am and second that I’m not the only guy with a rubber chicken!
Interesting but nothing earth shattering different from my Factor 3. In terms of design I like the F3 best but that's just me. The blade bounce of the 8ight would seriously piss me off. Anyway Thanks for sharing the Winterblade News.
What shorts u rocking? I like what looks like a level shelf for ur knife clip. I hate pocket carry in shorts with the low height and slanted angle. I usually end up carrying iwb
I know those are knife packages in back of you however, I was watching this on my TV and my wife said “why does that guy have witchcraft candles back there?” 😂
I bought the first factor release and while it's cool and unique it's not something I cared about after the first 5 mins of playing with it. Wasn't happy with the heat treat on the m390 and overall just fine it to not be a great cutting tool. It's cool and innovative as it's main feature set and it's main use case design is simply to be a fidget toy first and foremost and a cutting instrument second and that absolutely shows if you use one. The tall flat grind blade is nice and slicey and had the heat treat been done well it would be a great cutter even tho it's not comfortable in hand what so ever. I'm not saying the heat treat is bad, it's not but it leaves a lot to be desired. The steel is way in the soft side and that kills it for me. The steel being soft isn't what I'm saying when I say the heat treat isnt great the soft tempered steel down to like 58hrc. The heat treat let me know it wasn't great when I sharpened one for the first time (now I have probably sharpened 75 to 100 factors) I was left with a nice foil flippy floppy burr that says there is heat treat issues and that's on top of it being soft. Doing a card board cut test the m390 basically finished the test right where vg10 from seki Spyderco finished. M390 should EASILY out cut vg10, like it shouldn't even be a challenge for m390 to out cut vg10 and winters m390 finished finished right in line with that vg10. The poor sharpening experience is part of what made me not like the knife and using it to break down two night stands worth of card board to only be left with a edge that was hardly able to cleanly slice paper after two little night stand boxes? Yeah that's terrible. I really want knife companies to start doing knives as cutting tools first, not fidget toy first. I really wish companies would start making sure the heat treat is gonna give the customer the most out of that steel as they can get without going to a custom heat treat custom maker. It's why I love Spyderco so much, I know the steel has had proper R&D to build up a heat treat protocol that will work in a large production environment and that the steels hardness will be within the range to get the most out of said steel. No one else is doing that and that's what kills knives like the factor and other knives like it IMHO... If a knife is not being made as a cutting tool first I don't want it, if the heat treat isn't at least decent then I have no interest in the knife. I would be elated if I got a new factor and it was in m390 at 62rc and the heat treat it's self was done well and will provide a nice sharpening experience and I would rave about it! Still wouldn't be a comfortable knife in hand but it would at least then serve it's purpose as a cutting instrument nicely.
I'm digging the 3rd one. Aesthetics and everything. Only thing is missing is the acoustics of the factor... That ding! 🛎️🤣
I just got a Severn recently, and I love ❤️ it
What a great review and channel!! Keep up the great work !

Nice looking knives. Definitely not waiting the 7-8 months after a pre-order though. To many options on the market for that.
@@BlueMax717 good thing that this wasn’t a preorder then. This was a live inventory sale. But that’s over and all are long sold out
@@JimSkeltonKnives good stuff
Im excited. I already started saving! But what one do I get? Or do i get all of them?
That is a tough question to answer lol

What grey paints are you rockin’? I’m always looking for paints without rivets because of my nice knives. Thanks

I'm very interested in all these knives, however... wtf are those shorts?! I need a brand name lol thx.

Do what you want, but... did you know you can skip it?
