    Wow, what amazes me is the incredible range of people this vehicle appeals to. Celebrities want them, tech nerds want them, car guys want them, law enforcement want them, kids want them, and even some truck guys want them. Next we need to hear from soccer moms, because they are a huge car/suv buying demographic.

      @@Pauljefferson27 I have owned the Tesla Powerwalls and the Solar Panels which I got installed in my previous house, but then I moved out of NorCal. I have driven every Tesla car model except X. I drove a Model S Ludicrous (before Plaid came out). That was insane enough! My next car WILL be some Tesla model after my stock takes off, but no I don’t own a Tesla car right now.

  • @GET2222
    @GET2222 7 месяцев назад +3

    That reminds me of every person who gets in my model X. 2016 I have had 11 of my friends by TESLA after they drive mine. Never happened in my BMW. Never happened my Mercedes. Never happened in my A7. Never happened in my Maserati. Never happened in my Aston Martin. People think those cars are cool, but they never ever feel the excitement and the desire to want a car until they have driven my Tesla. Not only is it practical, it fun and when they hear there’s zero maintenance in 8 years, they basically say, “That’s it, I’m getting one”.

    The monster trailer he tows is beyond the capabilities of the CyberTruck at present, but with the success of this first edition, perhaps Tesla will make the equivalent of the F350 in the future, which could tow his trailer. I can see a progression to a stronger, higher range CyberTruck as the price of lithium continues it’s plummeting.

      Wait for the next couple of chemistry upgrades and ramped production on the 4680.
      That's more capacity for the same physical volume of pack and a cheaper cell (which leads to a cheaper pack)
      .
      It's going to be "enlightening"

    John, I love your videos and the good work that you do, but please, a tonneau cover is either open or closed, not up or down. :)

    • @ariip
      @ariip 7 месяцев назад

      The bed sides and cover are not level and does have an incline so you are wrong. The cover further in is higher up than in the rear so it is up relative to the back and down in the back relative to the front. So yes, it can be up or down. Sorry. We also often use the term up and down in other situations where up is open and down in closed. Such as sunroofs, garage doors, skyliights, hoods, trunk lids, windows, shades etc. I don't think people even consider the fact whether or not it is on an incline or is vertical or not, it is just a term and the way they use it. Was english a second language for you or are you a native in another country because often our terms are not understood. Are you ocd? Do you have a habit or looking for such meaningless criticisms is such simple things? Maybe something more useful could occupy your time.

    • @health101DOTorg
      @health101DOTorg 7 месяцев назад

      @@ariip Sorry, but I'm old school (being 70 years old), and in my world, sunroofs are never up or down, only garage doors, trunk lids, and windows. And when opening a trunk lid (or a window), we say "Open the trunk"; we do not say, "Make the trunk lid go up". And traditionally, tonneau covers are either open or closed, and considering this, that tiny bit of incline/decline doesn't allow for "up" or "down" when it comes to the Cybertruck's tonneau cover. "Open" and "closed" would be more appropriate terms considering this. But I will defer to Franz on this one, but I'd be willing to bet money that he would never say, "raise the tonneau cover" or "...with the tonneau cover raised". And that's the point I was making to John.

    The one "opinion" nobody has addressed...
    "It's not a work truck" ..... Due to bed access.
    .
    SOMEBODY install a full length bed slide.
    .
    Then it's the complete package.
    .
    Drop the gate. Extend the slide, everything's accessible.
    .
    If you want even more space, a lightweight slide high up on the L-Track by the lights.
    That's for powertools, toolbags, etc.
    Power to all your chargers, all secure.

    I’ve wasted enough of my money on my personal cars and done dropping big money on a car, much less one this expensive. Being stainless steel, I can’t imagine the cost of body repairs when the Cyber Truck has an accident or fender bender. But to each his own.

  • @buixote

    The I can't understand is that by using such a non-conforming design, all the aftermarket gear won't fit... racks, boxes, etc. For this reason, it's hard to imagine the CT supplanting "conventional" pickups.

    • @Mathis218337

      Roof racks would still work. Inside bed boxes too. Obviously boxes on top wouldn’t but that’s minor.
