Good information we are in Texas had a 2020 KZ BH with a side mounted air conditioner didnt cool down even trying fans nope we traded it for a 2108TB micro Minnie Winnebago, headed out this weekend will see how it goes not expecting perfect but better than the other plus we have Twin beds was a big reason we traded also.
My small rv I had to blast the ac in AZ heat, it acted as a sound machine sleeping at night lol
lol. They can be noisy
From my experience in life and a major clue from an electrician he told me the special number for setting your thermostat is 68 degreas it really works the best for any house and any other thermostat yet added my 2 cents I found that with your fridge set it at 5 your house and any other air condition at 68 and if any time I ever went to low on the setting it only freezes up your air condition and can even literally quit putting out cold air period.

Maybe. There have been a lot of companies claiming they make the best insulation windows on Rv market and it doesn’t change the results
is installing a heat pump in place of the AC a good idea?
You can. It would help cool down the RV faster. Just remember that it still is only going to cool down your RV about 18-22 degrees compared to outside.
