It was only around the last episodes that it started to grow on me, 100% due to the drivers.

i agree, i think they shouldave done a couple of things diffrently, such as no water, because litterly any car+water is a bad idea, i imagine that the value of that hurcan just went all down the drain because of rust that is gonna come, and the drift cars are gonna have a pain in the ass because as soon as they go too fast around a corner their exhaust will just fall off. fealt really bad for them and considering this is netflix and how much they spent on the show, i was quite mad about them not paying for damges. esspecially how much effort people like shredder put into it

@@ojoface208 I agree to a certain degree, but I think they should not pay for damages (unless they are caused by the production team, like the incident with the Mercedes and watercannon)
All of the cars were worth different amounts and it seems unfair to me that a driver would get more just because he has a more expensive car, they all take the same risk. And at the same time how would you estimate the cost to repair the damage. None of the cars were stock and all the contestants would probably repair their car themselves.
Instead, they should pay for every round a driver is competing after the first round. That way it stays fair and there is still some compensation.

You guys need to watch Omar’s vinwiki video. In it he explains that his Mercedes wasn’t meant to be the car the he drove on the show. He was going to take his viper but he got in an accident a month before taping and had to get a new car. He had an E break in his Mercedes but it broke during filming. So he couldn’t drift at all and was just joking. I have met him irl and he is super nice. He never acted like he was good at drifting, all he wanted to do was have fun. Fielding even said that Omar was a great guy

I think hyperdrive would be better with cars that were more designed for what the event is, watching the drag car not be able to do a handbrake turn was kinda pointless. A moderately powered crossover between a drift and autocross setup is probably ideal, having race cars that ideally would be built with this show in mind would show off what each person did to adjust their car for the crazy shit.

I refuse to watch that show. It felt scammy af and that they used the drivers by offering an unknown reward system which they hyped up by pretending it was this exclusive "get picked for the varsity team" vibe. They hyped up the exposure and shout out to entice people to stand by at their beck and call. It was an abusive, pandering cash grab aimed at car enthusiasts. Oh... and ask me how I really feel..

Hyperdrive was way better than Fastest Car. That show concentrated more on the contestant's sob stories instead of the cars. At least Hyperdrive was all-out racing. They still need more car enthusiasts on the production side of the show. And let them practice the runs. It would be 10x more entertaining if the drivers knew the course so they could push their limits more.

    Loved your performance.
    Loved your car.
Loved the show you gave us.
Obviously, you were one of my favorites.
There are so many interesting drivers in the show... Drift Sensei, The Sheriff, Diego, the Graffs and the Frenchman with the Charger.
    Didn't like:
    - The Huracan struggled to drift... It didn't belong in this competition.
    - I wish somebody else could drive that AMG GT.. I love the car and I wanted to see it compete. Totally left me blue balled. Screw that driver.
    - Water cannon obstacle... Totally unsafe
