I think that's a possibility but idk. Because it seems like towards the end of 1989 she was doing some rock inspired stuff so it would kind of lay the ground for a rock album. But idk. It could be anything and we'll never know unless she pulls it out of the vault and shows us.
I really hope Karma exist, if she won't release it as a studio album on it's own i hope she'll put it as Reputation's vault. We need to hear that. Taylor has perfect voice for rock and pop-punk, she can be soft but she can also be very edgy with growls and distortion in her voice i love it. Next album have to be rock, after Folklore and Evermore i don't think TS10 will be similar to them and be still in this indie alternative sound and pop album would be little strange after them and i don't think she'll make another country album (at least not now). On both F & E is alternative rock so next album should be rock and pop-punk. that would be epic.

It's not just a regular edit girl. The 1989 world tour shot at professional studio during her label deal with apple music. It was a whole movie that they dedicated to 1989 era. Taylor can't release it because she doesnt own the master. In 2020/2021, the new master owner pulled that 1989 movie from apple platforms. The channel that you just watched enhanced its quality to 4K cause It only released in FHD.
still hoping for rock from taylor, if shes able to make a country, pop, electro-pop, alternative then theres hope that maybe someday she'll make a rock album! fingers crossed. this and her performance on VS fashion show with falloutboys, you can really tell she can do a rock album

I personally think there's no karma. It just swifties being clowns again. 2016 was her healing year. If she wrote/recorded something, it probably already released in reputation or Lover (both has synth elements that 1989 carried). Plus the things that left probably in the vault of reputation or the lover rejected materials.

Maybe she never expected to release the heavier darker tone music like she did in reputation back then. So yeah it safe to say that she was playing with synth elements back then and not karma like the internet stans thought.
