People who dismiss her thinking she’s just some generic pop star don’t realize she always performs with a live band. Many of whom have been with her forever. My favorite part of this is that her band is so clearly having the best time.
I'm glad you listen to my recommendation! 😊 Taylor, unlike many other artists, can morph into other genres easily. She is naturally talented. Another song that is rock inspired is called Haunted. You will like it ❤
You’ve definitely gotta check out her Grammy museum performance of Wildest Dreams. It’s very stripped back, just her, and she plays this guitar in that performance as well.
Jake Gyllenhaal said he hates pop music so she deliberately wrote the most annoyingly pop song she could knowing he would have to hear it everywhere. Love me some Petty Taylor. 🖤🖤 10:08 she's giving early Bjork (Sugarcubes).
There are a LOT of suggestions here, but if you want to see more of Taylor’s rock side, her Bad Blood/Should’ve Said No mashup from the Reputation Stadium Tour (only on Netflix until the end of 2023 btw), goes SO FUCKING HARD.
Love this reaction. I wonder how you’d like her “Haunted” performance from Speak Now. It’s not rock, I don’t think, but it’s got an Evanescence kind of vibe to it with the violins and stuff. And I freaking LOVE the performance. Absolutely amazing. (I think you might also like her 1989 performance of “I Knew You Were Trouble”, but I could be wrong there.) Another world class performance (in my opinion): “Don’t Blame Me” from Reputation. I don’t know from genres but I know I like everything about that. Everybody wants a rock album from Taylor. I’m really hoping we get one someday… She’s friends with Hayley Williams from Paramore, so… Can you even imagine having a Paramore feature on a rock Taylor album… I’m gonna go daydream about that now…
Side note: I want to check out your music on Spotify now that I know about it. Where should I start? Is there a recommended listening order, a playlist with all your songs, etc?
Also… one more question. I’ve been doing music reactions while I’m sick to entertain myself. Would you enjoy if I made a reaction video to your music? I have no followers on my reaction channel except my partner, so you probably wouldn’t get any new listeners from it, but if you enjoy the idea of somebody talking way too much about your songs, let me know, haha. (So far I’ve spent 30-60 minutes per song… I simply do not shut up.)
Please stop apologizing for liking Taylor, dude she is so versatile and talented. Yeah she doesn't have the highest notes and most crisp voice but ahe has an incredible voice it fits her perfectly. I love when someone who has almost been taught to not like Taylors music starts listening to it and then realizes how great she is. I found through your Taylor reactions so please keep them coming. There is a version 'I knew you were trouble" from this tour that is almost haunting yet super sensual if that makes sense at all lol but i truly think you'd like that. Also her sound Haunted is really good. I like it live but different strokes dor different folks
Taylor can do anything she wants, she’s a performer, a songwriter and awesome musician. I totally think she should do a rock album too, she’s done everything else 😂 she’s so much more than a pop star. She is a ✨mastermind✨
Us swifties have been wishing and praying for a rock album since this performance, so essentially since 2015! All I can do is pray that someday Taylor will grant my wish 😂❤
Yes us Swifties have been wanting a rock album for a long while now. If she made one and if it went number 1 she would have number 1's in like 4 genres. She is so talented she just takes a genre and owns it.
Dude I have never seen this type of performance from her before, and holy crap! I LOVED IT!! she rocked that out and you are right I would love to see her do a rock album, even if she takes some of her existing songs and does this with them I think it would be awsome. Good luck with your own career and hope all goes well for you and your band
Even more impressive context: With live performances from the age/ era it's good to keep in mind that she suffered from an ED, she talked about it in her documentary and apparently she thought if she didn't feel like she was about to pass out halfway through the show, she was doing it wrong. And then she still sounded like that? Extreme respect.
YES!!! intro + ...ready for it? and I did something bad from the rep tour are legends (I esp love the extended bridge of idsb). honestly, the haunted performance from the speak now tour should also be a fun watch
In speak now she experiments a lot, and it’s very reminiscent of the pop rock of that era and her voice fits perfectly. You should listen to “Haunted” which is a full on rock song
Exactly! People seem to think that Speak Now is some kind of sleepy little country album but the undertones of pop punk are strong and it really makes you see why she names artists like Avril Lavigne and Hayley Williams as inspirations to her. "Haunted" and "Better Than Revenge" were definitely eye opening moments on that album. Most people don't ever recognise that Taylor has been using rock chord progressions and motifs in her songs since her first album but when you see how easily she can switch styles like this, you really start to understand her genius.
We're watching a creative genius in Taylor Swift. Think of when she started... look at where she is. All the narrative around her crumbles in the face of her talent. Haters are simply envious of her endless talent and creativity. No better way to strike back than to embrace it and show them what she's made of. As many times as they strike, she will get back up. And there is NOTHING more refreshing than someone with an OPEN mind and heart like yours applauding her amazing scope of potential. (It's new and amazing to me too, and I'm WAYYY older than you!)
During 1989 era taylor post tour style was hinting towards a Rock album and since 2016 was supposed to be her album release year (she used to release album every 2 year , 1989 came in 2014) , but due to unfortunate turn of events she was cancelled on internet and thereby went into hiding and came back in 2017 with Reputation to take control of her narrative . Fan theories suggest there is a lost album which is yet to be released and would have been a Rock album. It is rumoured TS 11 album will be that lost rock album .
so she made this song basically as pop-py as she could bc the guy this is about thought he was better than her bc she made pop-like music also because she wanted this to become one of those incredibly often and very catchy played radio hits so that the guy would basically hear this song EVERYWHERE. so on this tour she performed this version which isnt as pop because at this point it already was a HUGE hit so she could do with it what she wanted.
I LOVE how open-minded you are!! And do I have to recommendation for you. Because you live for the live performance- you have just GOT to check out Taylor’s opening number from her Reputation Tour- ‘Ready for It’ will STUN YOU. You’re welcome!! And Thank you 🙏🏻
For those people that says she can't sing... She already wrote a song for them and it's called Mean. Btw i came here for the reaction but I will stay for your music man ❤ you get a fan from argentina 🇦🇷
At this point, she's got something for everybody. People who say they don't like her haven't gotten over their preconceived notions long enough to actually listen.
I LOVE the rock side of . she hasn't done it in years. It shows her versatility. People only see her as a pop artist. This is a very pop 12:12 she turned it into a rock one. So many people hate on her for no reason. They have never listened to her. Maybe heard a song playing in Target or pieces changing radio stations. They never actually listen to her lyrics. She truly is probably the most loved and hated musician. The haters say she only dates people to bash them later in songs. In my opinion a true artist writes about their life whether it be ex"s good and bad, things they see in the world, their childhood, experiences of their friends, fans and haters. You get it. With a few made up songs that have touches of themselves in them. That is a songwriter. Taylor considers herself a songwriter first. She has stationary that has her name at the top then right under that it says "songwriter and cat parent." Not many artists have been as successful at switching genres as Taylor. Her first couple albums were Country, then lighthearted Pop, a darker Pop, folk/pop. Her fans have stuck with her through them all. She calls each album an Era because she changes her music style(a little or alot), changes her hairstyle and completely different clothing style in her personal life during each Era. She said years ago people expect female singers to change or the public gets bored with them verses male singers can stay the same throughout their career. She has never done a Rock/Pop album. Her adult fans would love it! This performance is killer. She changed the way Apple and Spotify pay artists years ago. She wrote an open letter to Apple and Spotify. Apple said we hear you Taylor and changed their policy overnight. Spotify took a couple years to change. She had just put out her best-selling album 1989 at the time but still removed all of her music from Spotify until they changed it. She taught musicians to make sure they don't make the same mistake she did at 15 or 16 by not having your contracts say you can own your masters from the start. She walked away from a development/ songwriting deal at Sony after a year at age 15 because she had enough faith in herself to know she didn't need a development deal. She didn't have another deal in place. She went back to having her Mom drive her to anything Taylor could find that would let her play at. Her Mom stsyed in the car. Taylor had to talk to people on her own. There is a video of Taylor playing for about 10 people at a rubber duck racing contest(those things actually happen in the South.) She played for free alot at bars because they weren't keen on having a no name young artist play. She was a hustler. She had actually been doing that since age 12. I forgot about that Then she finally got to play at the famous Bluebird Cafe. That is where she got her record contract. She was the first artist on Big Machine Records. She left them after her contract was up after the Reputation album. Every label wanted her. She ended up signing with Republic because they met her demands. One of them was they had to split 50/50 all streaming revenue with every artist on their label. This was all years ago. Women especially young Women are treated horrible by record labels. Taylor paved the way for young female Country artists. During the pandemic Taylor made two folkish albums, a departure from the Pop artist they signed who had only done one album for them and didn't tell them until 1 week before there release. She paid for everything herself. That is extremely ballsy. She has always believed in herself and taken risks when most females especially young ones back then, didn't. She has her own production and management company. Actually 11 L.L.C"s. She keeps everything in house with a very small group of people she trusts. Her parents are two of them. People always say her parents had connections in the beginning of her career when they moved to Nashville. They didn't. Her parents believed in her and her Dad worked for Merrill Lynch and was able to transfer. She is just a Badass!
And for the wankers who say she can't play guitar. Pay attention to how low she holds it. If you know you know,Just sayin...... Ohhhh and btw sings at the same time....
Would love to see your reaction to her doing I Knew You Were Trouble live from this same tour. she gave it a similar grungey, dark performance to this one
As someone who’s been a rocker her entire life, I’ve also become a Swiftie in the past ten or so years. Red was the album that truly hooked me. I would love for you to check out more of her stuff & all of her eras. Thank you for being so open to giving her a chance. Talent recognizes talent 🫶🏻
DUDE! We know it’s epic that’s why it was requested 😉 we’ve been literally begging her to drop a rock album since this performance years ago. I have faith we will get it🤘🏻
This performance brings something visceral out of me and I love it. This and I did something bad- me in my living room is SO different to me anywhere else lol
She does a rock-y performance of "I knew you were trouble" from the same tour! I'd love to see your reaction to it -- she absolutely KILLS the bridge in the same way as she does here, and the strings in it are mind-blowing
Haunted is one of my favorites, check it out! Just discovered you and appreciate the energy you bring. Born in 1989 like Taylor, I avoided her music for whatever reason for years, wild how easily we(i*) can be swayed to jump to conclusions. I love learning that I’m often wrong, and Taylor’s ability to break barriers and boxes encourages me to see through my own lens and not be told what to like or who I am. Love how your reaction has me on a tangent, hahaha. I’m excited to hear your music and doing so now, thanks for sharing your thoughts and rooting for you and your musical future ❤️🔥
Im sure ive already commented but i just love this performance so much. I looooove the begining where she just sets the stage, paints the picture for like a full minuite before it starts... and I fucking love that this is like one of the only rock performances she has done and she knocks it out of the fucking paaaark. It is just crazy good! Its like all the 90s rock/punk girls, but so much harder!!! 🎉 she took this assignment sooooo seriously.
And let me add. Check out her 2014 performance at the Victoria's Secret show. Maybe that's something for you. And we Swifties are craving for a rock album by her.
If you'd like to hear more of rock Taylor, check out one of her earlier albums called Speak Now. She has a lot of pop rock songs in there. This album is the closet to a rock album we got from her. Taylor is friends with Hayley Williams from Paramore since they were teenagers and they influenced each other a lot. Some of the songs from Speak Now you might like: Haunted, Better Than Revenge, The Story Of Us, Electric Touch ft Fall Out Boy (yeah, they sing with her) and Castle Crumbling featuring Hayley Williams. Also, the melody from the song Innocent sounds, to me, like something Creed would've played back in the day.
When people say Taylor can't sing I also show them WILDEST DREAMS and OUT OF THE WOODS LIVE from GRAMMY MUSEUM PERFORMANCE of hers. I hope you check it out too
Us swifties have known that she is a ROCKSTAR for forever lol, and have been begging for a rock album for years. Other performances that I think you will like. 1. Her cover of Summer of’69 by Bryan Adams 2. Perform Summer of ‘69 with Bryan Adams on her tour 3. I Don’t Want To miss a Thing with Steven Tyler on her tour 4. Performance with Mick Jagger on her tour, can’t remember the song from the top of my head 5. She did a cross over performance with Def Leopard years ago.
Wow how wonderful and amazing she is and how capable and very professional she knows what she is doing and no one can compete with her for the first place at all 👌👍❤️
yes, she's also a rockstar!! this might be little corny, but in the fandom, we categorize her as four different Taylors when it comes to a performance: yeehawlor (country), poplor, rocklor and altlor (folk/indie) lol
I loved this reaction! And yeah pretty much all we swifties talk about anymore is the long-lost rock album named Karma we were supposed to get after 1989, some people think she will release it now as her 11th studio album.. it's just folklore though...
If you like this … haaaaaave you seen the performance at the 2013 Victoria Secrets Fashionshow? If not, I HIGHLY recommend that you look it up. She performed with Fall Out Boy 🫶
Absolutely. Wondering if that's what we're getting tomorrow with The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD). Post Malone, Florence and The Machine... yeah. I'm crossing my fingers 🤞

Only 3 minutes in but you inspired me to leave a non-hate comment before you even started Taylor's video. I imagine I will enjoy your reaction... I just laugh at people who say she cannot sing. There is speculation in the fandom that she was working on a rock/grunge/punk album after 1989 (because her aesthetic changed to a punk look) but it allegedly got scrapped when the drama with the rapper that shall not be named and his wife hit the fan and she went into hiding. She later came out with the album reputation. We all want a rock album from her...
Great reaction, I will echo everyone else, I Knew You Were Trouble rock version, Haunted live version, I Did Something Bad, and Don't Blame Me live. I forgot one more Vigilante Sh!t, live of course. Thank you for reacting to Taylor. I just subscribed.
This is one of my favorite performances by her. I really like your style on your channel and I heard your music and it was awesome so I’m glad I found you. XO Tracy.❤
Dude, I’m literally so happy rn! This is one of my favorite performances of Taylor’s! I’m so glad you loved it. I love how open minded you are. Well, you understand music too so anyway, thanks so much for checking this out! There’s actually another one from this tour that I think you’d really enjoy! “I knew you were trouble” Live 1989 tour. It’s wayyy more rock and ominous than the original!! It’s amazing!! Please check it out if you can. Thanks again. Keep shining my guy✨
100% and thank you for the kind words, I know how much of a grind this industry is and writing your own stuff only adds to the chaos, so I appreciate anyone that actually is fully involved in their artistry.
I recommend listening to “I know places” from either the 1989 stadium tour or her straight audio, there’s a part in that song where she screams and it’s the most beautiful thing ever😅😂 I really think you would enjoy that because you can hear the grit in her voice and the way it mixes with the rest of the song is just wow. I would LOVE to see you react to that one!!!
She did some rock-country-emo-ish songs back in the day. Here some recomendations: 1. Better Than Fevenge 2. Haunted 3. Sparks Fly 4. Innocent 5. Two Is Better Than One (feat. Boys Like Girls) 6. Electric Touch (feat. FOB)
I just subscribed and turned all notifications on because I don’t want to miss your reactions to Taylor Swift!! This is my new favorite reaction channel. Please check out her Music Video as well she always put her heart to each of her music videos. I can’t wait for another reaction ❤
Found this for the first time today and immediately came to your channel to ensure you’d see it! And remember…”she can’t sing!” She’s fucking amazing! ❤ thanks for the reaction
This was a great reaction video! Love that you are enjoying Taylor's live performances. If you like rock Taylor, she does a performance of "Wildest Dreams" at the Grammy Museum that I think you would really like as well. It's not rock performance per se, it's just her and an electric guitar (the same one she is playing in this video) in a small theater setting, but it has a rock feel because of the electric guitar. And she sounds incredible. I would love to see you react to that! Thanks again, this was great. Going to check out your music too!
listen to speak now. most of the album is about john mayer and she wrote and produced a lot of it to sound like a john mayer album so he wouldn’t be able to say it’s not good💀💀💀
Such a fantastic version. I have a feeling that TTPD has some rock songs on it. People have been begging her to do rock for so long. I really think (HOPE) we’re gonna get it next month. Can we also say how gorgeous she looked doing this performance, too? Just WOW! Everything was PERFECTION! 🎉❤

Please do a reaction to Taylor Swift Don’t Blame Me live at ruclips.net/video/AxjockfZc7g/видео.htmlfeature=shared
I love that this performance trashes so many of the negative things people say about her!
Yeah she out here like what did you say about me?! Take another god damn look biches!
Jealousy
Frr
Some people say she’s screaming she’s not and clearY those people can’t sing
And many of us are desperate for a rock album from her.
For real
No for real. Since Speak Now. This just solidified it.
Okay but also when Damon Salvatore’s twin that is also a rockstar tells you to make a rock album, listen to himmmmmm
Doppelganger 😂
This lady is basically genre less. Her music is so well written and elemental that it can matched to anything...
Ever seen the Metal Goddes Floor jansen perform I mean not as famous as Tay Tay, but Floor can sing Opera to metal Death grawls.
People who dismiss her thinking she’s just some generic pop star don’t realize she always performs with a live band. Many of whom have been with her forever. My favorite part of this is that her band is so clearly having the best time.

She’s a theatre kid that never really was a theatre kid. She can do literally anything.

I appreciate your reactions so much because you also react as an artist and musician and point out things I hadn’t appreciated myself before.
You should definitely listen to Better Than Revenge, Haunted, and Eyes Open (Taylor’s version of course) !!!
The bridge drop reminds me briefly of Bjork. Taylor’s versatility is extraordinary
Yeah her catalogue is really something when you look at the big picture
For those people that says she can't sing... She already wrote a song for them and it's called Mean. Btw i came here for the reaction but I will stay for your music man ❤ you get a fan from argentina 🇦🇷
We've been asking for a rock album for a decade. Never say never, but don't get your hopes up.

I forgot about that
Then she finally got to play at the famous Bluebird Cafe.
I would love to hear a rock album from her, she can sing any genre, so extremely talented.
her voice is not powerful enough for rock. her range is great but her belt can use work before she attempts rock
And for the wankers who say she can't play guitar. Pay attention to how low she holds it. If you know you know,Just sayin......
Ohhhh and btw sings at the same time....
She needs to make a rock album
Would love to see your reaction to her doing I Knew You Were Trouble live from this same tour. she gave it a similar grungey, dark performance to this one
As someone who’s been a rocker her entire life, I’ve also become a Swiftie in the past ten or so years. Red was the album that truly hooked me. I would love for you to check out more of her stuff & all of her eras. Thank you for being so open to giving her a chance. Talent recognizes talent 🫶🏻
React to Ready for it / i did something Bad / Don’t Blame me live Reputation Tour… ❤ it‘s the best
i have a feeling that he would like speak now, specially haunted and better than revenge
Give me more rock, Taylorrr the genre of my hearttttt She has it in her pocket, I know she does!!!
I keep saying that she needs to do a rock album. Not everyone gets it but you do..
Welcome to the club that keeps asking for the rock album!!!!
I am hoping Rep TV will have a rock feel. I would love a rock album from Taylor.
DUDE! We know it’s epic that’s why it was requested 😉 we’ve been literally begging her to drop a rock album since this performance years ago. I have faith we will get it🤘🏻
You want ROCK TATLOR! OK! REPUTATION TOUR! Opening/Ready For It.../I Did Something Bad. .....annnnnnd GO
WE NEED A ROCK ALBUM FROM TAYLOR SWIFT 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
This performance brings something visceral out of me and I love it. This and I did something bad- me in my living room is SO different to me anywhere else lol
i did something bad performance from the reputation tour!!!! you won't regret it
Pls react to Out of the woods performance by Taylor live in Sydney...One of her most epic performances...
She does a rock-y performance of "I knew you were trouble" from the same tour! I'd love to see your reaction to it -- she absolutely KILLS the bridge in the same way as she does here, and the strings in it are mind-blowing
Came here to say this. Gotta listen to IKYWT from 1989 tour.
Live performance rec: Don’t Blame Me from the Reputation Tour. Get goosebumps every time.
Tay is the Rock Goddess you never knew you needed in your life.
She definitely would rock a rock album 💿 for sure!!!!❤️🔥🖤😎😝
Just found you this morning. Living for you discovering how kick ass Taylor Swift actually is. From a lifelong rock fan and total swiftie 🫶🏻
Every sense she’s just a pure force to be reckoned with musically
You need to do I did something bad reputation tour. It will blow you away!! Best song ever!
And let me add. Check out her 2014 performance at the Victoria's Secret show. Maybe that's something for you. And we Swifties are craving for a rock album by her.
I would love to see some rock songs come out of the vault with Reputation TV.....you never know 🐍
If you'd like to hear more of rock Taylor, check out one of her earlier albums called Speak Now.
God. That thought never occurred to me. 👀 WOW. 🙏
1. Her cover of Summer of’69 by Bryan Adams
2. Perform Summer of ‘69 with Bryan Adams on her tour
3. I Don’t Want To miss a Thing with Steven Tyler on her tour
4. Performance with Mick Jagger on her tour, can’t remember the song from the top of my head
5. She did a cross over performance with Def Leopard years ago.
She is a multi talent who can sing different gerne of music
Metalheads for Tay Tay !!!
LOL amazing
We need the rock album for sure though
I loved this reaction! And yeah pretty much all we swifties talk about anymore is the long-lost rock album named Karma we were supposed to get after 1989, some people think she will release it now as her 11th studio album.. it's just folklore though...
Taylor is awesome, this version of the song just rocks, and this is the best reaction to this song I've watched.
her older songs 'picture to burn', 'should've said no', and 'sparks fly' all got some traces of rock music as well (at least sound so for me haha)
If you like this … haaaaaave you seen the performance at the 2013 Victoria Secrets Fashionshow?
If not, I HIGHLY recommend that you look it up. She performed with Fall Out Boy 🫶
Love seeing these reviews. Taylor is finally getting honest reviews. Even reviewers who don’t want to like her!
That bridge sounds sooo Paramore. Taylor would crush a rock album like she crushes every genre she tries.

“I knew you were trouble”
Live 1989 tour.
I love this performance so much. It really elevates the song and highlights how good her band is too
I've never seen or heard this version. So bad ass!
I just love your reactions. ❤
She did some rock-country-emo-ish songs back in the day. Here some recomendations:
1. Better Than Fevenge
2. Haunted
3. Sparks Fly
4. Innocent
5. Two Is Better Than One (feat. Boys Like Girls)
🥹❤️💚💙
Found this for the first time today and immediately came to your channel to ensure you’d see it! And remember…”she can’t sing!” She’s fucking amazing! ❤ thanks for the reaction
you are swiftie approved.
Loved how much you enjoyed this performance! I’m sure there’s plenty more for you to discover!
Please React to “Ready for it” & “Dont blame me” Live performance from reputation stadium tour
Going to check out your music too!
listen to speak now. most of the album is about john mayer and she wrote and produced a lot of it to sound like a john mayer album so he wouldn’t be able to say it’s not good💀💀💀
Need to react to her doing I did something bad live
Such a fantastic version. I have a feeling that TTPD has some rock songs on it. People have been begging her to do rock for so long. I really think (HOPE) we’re gonna get it next month. Can we also say how gorgeous she looked doing this performance, too? Just WOW! Everything was PERFECTION! 🎉❤
