I love the way you, as a man, just saw right through the manipulation and the gaslighting she tried to portrait in this short film! Good to know that this new generation of man is emotionally aware of these problems and not just saying it is “feminist crap” because it’s very real and it can happen to both sides (even if in this case, and normally, the victim is the girl)! Taylor hit the nail with this one!
I’ve noticed so many of the younger male reactors call this out immediately. ‘Gaslighting.’ ‘Manipulation.’ Meanwhile, men over 30 are all ‘well I see his point. He was with his friends. It wasn’t a date night.’ 🙃 help
She chose Dylan and Sadie because they were the age of Taylor and Jake Gyllenhaal at the time of their relationship. It also shows leaving her scarf at the sisters house and Dylan wearing it while looking through the window 13 years later! That’s her way of saying that he will never be able to get over this part of his life!
Yes! In my mind when I think of him watching her through the window is Jake having to acknowledge her and what he did to her everytime he sees her on screen.
okay I hate the dishes scene, not because it’s bad because it isn’t, but because he treats her awfully and attempts to apologize. but to me it means that she’s working her hardest to clean the dishes (heal herself from whatever is going on in her life) and he is giving her more dishes (adding to her problems)

Well, it looks like 22 is gonna be my THE birthday song since my 21 was the worst one I ever had due to my mom being hospitalized 2 days before my birthday, it was my first birthday without her and I was so scared that I was gonna lose her
For context: the song is about her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal and how he didn't show up to her 21y birthday party when the album "Red" first came out Taylor told us the song "All Too Well" had a longer version that were never release and turn into some kind of joke to the fandom. As the Taylor's Version came she included the 10 minutes version of the song and the short film, although it's really good there's still some things that you can only catch when listening to the 10m alone so i recommend you to react to the album as well!!!

And then you stopped again at the other massive gut punch lyric, “I get older but your lovers stay my age.” Those two lines had Swifties self-destructing. They also did something gorgeous with the light shining on her starting out as warm with deep reds, with autumn leaves scattered on the stage, and slowly as the song progresses the light gets cooler, into shades of blue, then towards the end it starts to snow. Such simple stage special effects but so effective and devastating. Took my breath away.

I met him a few days ago, and I'm literally obsessed with his reactions. He's so funny and he doesn't just listen to the song, he also comments on it and gives his opinion, which is pretty cool. Please, keep doing this!!!
I love your reactions, and this is one of my absolute favourite Taylor Swift songs. I'll never forget suddenly breaking down at "and you call me up again just to break me like a promise" when I was at the Eras Tour because somehow being there in person made a memory from a breakup I went through nearly 7 years ago that I'm over now but just happens to match up with a lot of the song suddenly hit me like a gut punch all over again. This video was a really great surprise today, thank you for doing these. But seriously, please please please do You're Losing Me (a vault track from Midnights, released separately from the album) before Tortured Poets, it gives important context and there are lines in that song that mirror a few lines on Tortured Poets, it just makes the whole experience better imo.
I really appreciate your emotional intelligence as you watch and listen to this. You have such a clear understanding of what’s going on internally. And to be taking in the song and the video at the same time is impressive- I think sometimes people don’t take in the lyrics and the music as well because the visuals are so captivating, but not you !
i hope he makes his last title reaction to whatever album he finishes with as “ taylor swift fan reacts to …. “. since his first video was “ kanye swift fan reacts to taylor for the first time “
Only ten minutes in so far but I had to comment on your incredulity at him continuing to hand her dishes while they’re arguing. 😂 Thank you for the laugh.
17:21 yeah it is. This song and like the situation in the film is the story of her relationship with Jake gylenhall. She was 20-21 at the time and he was 29. He was manipulating. He didn’t even show for her 21st birthday, as said in the song. All the lyrics are about the relationship are things that happened, but idk about the short film. Most of the short film is true tho.
Every reaction vid of yours that I watch makes me appreciate you more for being so open-minded, self-aware, and empathetic even though you didn't know much about Taylor's past and the context of her music during your recordings. But for some reason, you get it so well??? and are able to analyze the situation and articulate it in a way that shows you aren't just looking for the surface-level meaning. I'm also so glad you can recognize when a situation is misogynistic or manipulative and have shared your opinions on it or even gone so far as to say that the behavior is wrong. Honestly, I was wary the first time I watched your reaction vids because you're a Kanye fan and those types of videos on RUclips are 50/50 if they'll actually be open-minded or are just looking to make fun of the music and rage-bait Swifties. As a Swiftie I've witnessed on occasion the way certain Kanye fans can be mean or hateful about Taylor and her fans (which really sucks because I can admit that I enjoy Kanye's music even if I don't like his actions, but there are a lot of haters from different fandoms who can't do the same for Taylor) but I see now that you're not that kind of person who's just playing around with us or trying to start something toxic. I have a lot of respect for you for how you handle yourself and the channel ❤
Tortured Poets is kinda a mix of all her albums but since it’s up for so many Grammys definitely listen to it before Grammys since it’ll probably be front and center there. There’s the standard version (16 tracks) and the Anthology version (15 additional tracks) standard is 1 hour and 6 minutes and anthology is I think 55 minutes so you can get two videos from them. The Standard is very similar to midnights sonically but lyrically it’s more like Red and Speak Now. The Anthology is sonically like her album of evermore and lyrically a mixture of her whole discography. The album has call backs to Lover, Midnights, Reputation and some on Red and Speak Now. Some brief background is she broke up with her boyfriend of 7 years and rekindled her past kinda spark with Matty Healey which basically sent her down this depressive spiral and hid it all on the Eras Tour. It’s a very unflattering and raw breakup album about her own faults and his with her feeling like she’s going insane
@ lmao why? i like her music and i like his films. i really couldn’t care less about those people since i don’t know them personally. if swiftie means being a freak obsessed with someone you don’t know then thank the lord i am not !

This song always gets me crying man. I love how you try to actually understand the lyrics and the story, it makes these reactions so much more enjoyable! I can’t wait for you react to folklore and TTPD eventually, those albums are unbelievably amazing.
Great reaction! You understood the message really well. It was fascinating to hear a different perspective on the dialogue scene. Most people only focus on the way he's speaking to her, but you realised the meaning of his actions (with the dishes)
i don't know if someone has already said this but after the few years that its been out, it finally clicked for me that during her like "talk" at the end of the film, she says "all too well" as its sung and the talking segment is her reading the lyrics as shes recapping the book titled "all too well"
I'd say react to Tortured Poets Department whenever you want - I became a Swiftie *because* of that album, I hadn't listened to much of any Taylor Swift since 1989, listened to TTPD out of curiosity when Twitter was making fun of the lyrics and loved the album despite knowing *zero* of the backstory behind the album and I didn't care to find out any of it for months after. Listening and appreciating the music without knowing who all the songs about doesn't detract from the overall listening experience in my opinion.
My third comment here in your channel and I just want to say it again. You deserve EVERY subscriber you have because your reactions are my absolute favourite and I LOVE your personality and how you interpret songs, lyrics, music and the world. Thanks Jaxson☺️🙏🏽
I read the dishes scene was pretty much all improv and it wasn't supposed to be its own scene. Music was supposed to play over it, but they did such a good job creating this scenario that Taylor decided to keep the whole thing in.
The way that I cried for her because of the emotion she put into this song I felt like i was there and bro when I tell you I BELTED that bridge I mean it. Like “THENN U CALL ME UP AGAIN JUST TO BREAK ME LIKE A PROMISEEE!” And “KEPT U LIKE A SECRET BUT I KEPT U LIKE AN OATH.” really got me 😭😭😭😭
Not that many of people picked-on the dishes scene btw. And I'm not a totally Taylor fan, but I listen to her songs from here and there and one thing about her that she's a freaking good song writer, she always deliver the scenarios through her writing in the most beautiful way with the magnificent words.
@wantblack2133 I like listening to her song but sometimes her songs not exactly my thing from a production wise, sometimes. But I remember listening to "all too well" the 10 minute version for the first time and I was waiting for the primer on RUclips too.

I highly suggest listening to The Long Pond Studio sessions for Folklore. It was all written, recorded & the sessions recorded during the pandemic. Before each song Taylor & Jack Antonof &/or Aaron Dressner sit around discussing why/ how the song was written & what inspired it. It’s on Disney+ & can be listened to as a whole or split up into individual songs/sessions. It’s an acoustic version & allows you to see her emotions as she sings…amazing. ❤️

🧣❄️🧣❄️🧣❄️🧣❄️🧣❄️🧣❄️🧣❄️🧣❄️🧣 One piece of the story you're missing is that this song is about Jake Gyllenhaal, and the fact that he's almost 10 years older than Taylor. He was a fully grown man, with life & relationship experience, and he dated a 20-year-old girl, expecting her to be on the same level as him. And then gaslit her when she appropriately acted her age. It's also easily assumed from the lyrics that he was "her first" and then he broke up with her shortly after. He used the break-up excuse that she's too young for him, although he continues to date women much younger than him. "I'll get older but your lovers stay my age."
Literally feeding the swifties with these wonderful reactions!!! I went and seen Taylor on the red tour, and it was such a night to remember ❤️this has a lot of Taylor Lore/backstory, but love how you already got soooo many undertones. I highly recommend saving TTOD for the last, and reacting to the others. Love watching you!!!
Yes she's supposed to Taylor and Jake Gyllenhaal. He said he'd be there for her 21st birthday missed it and then didn't even tell her he would until after her birthday. This is one of the songs about him. Her songs about John Mayer are brutal. She used to mainly write about her life until 2020 lockdowns when she started writing stories about characters. She was in super private relationship at the time. He didn't like being seen with her, or talking about her, or be photographed with her except at award shows, he even ghost wrote on a few songs. He is a British actor which made it even weirder. But a diamonds got to shine. Well now she shines for the whole world to see. She has dated multiple celebrities like Joe Jonas, Harry Styles, Calvin Harris, Taylor Lautner, Tom Hiddleston (yes she dated Loki), she usually won't say who a song is about for their privacy and safety. She said she used them as a muse, or blends them together for characters.

22:50 if you'll read her lips, that's actually the beginning of the song lyrics that she's reading.
That's such a genius detail!
Dude his reaction to the dishes was so real
I met him a few days ago, and I'm literally obsessed with his reactions. He's so funny and he doesn't just listen to the song, he also comments on it and gives his opinion, which is pretty cool. Please, keep doing this!!!
Ugh the line "the idea of me, who was she? A never needy ever lovely jewel whose shine reflects on you" gets me every time😭🫶
True. It's like I was dazzling and you didn't appreciate me for me, I was only someone to adorn you to make you look better. A trophy.
Taylor wrote and directed this and stared in it , All in.
Ive watched exactly 6-7 other reaction channels reacting to taylor but no one does it like you
Would you recommend another good one
Hthaze is an amazing reaction channel too, he's done most of taylors music @@wantblack2133
@@wantblack2133 NeeCee X reactions are good too especially in analyzing lyrics and connections to TS songs.
@@wantblack2133 G.O.T Games, one of the most genuine reactors out there
@@reinesss13 yess I love her
I’m actually addicted to this content keep it up !
Don’t burn yourself out tho 😭
Listening to Taylor is exactly how it feels when going to therapy - healing and emotionally exhausting at the same time. ❤❤
My personal theory is that he records these in batches, back to back, and post them on a schedule.
i hope he makes his last title reaction to whatever album he finishes with as “ taylor swift fan reacts to …. “. since his first video was “ kanye swift fan reacts to taylor for the first time “
The dishes frustration is REAL 😭
Only ten minutes in so far but I had to comment on your incredulity at him continuing to hand her dishes while they’re arguing. 😂 Thank you for the laugh.
dont be shy put a taylor swift poster up..
Real
🤣🤣 I love that he’s more outraged about the dishes than the context of the fight.
It’s a very unflattering and raw breakup album about her own faults and his with her feeling like she’s going insane
jaxson i’m waiting patiently for the folklore reaction plz give it to us😩🙏
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LISTEN TO YOURE LOSING ME!!! It’s the final part of Midnights
when this dropped it was hard be a swiftie and a jake gyllenhaal fan at the same time 😭😭😭😭
You’re not a swiftie if ur a JG fan tho
@ lmao why? i like her music and i like his films. i really couldn’t care less about those people since i don’t know them personally. if swiftie means being a freak obsessed with someone you don’t know then thank the lord i am not !
@@mourningfellcity do you know what he did tho??
@@shagundubeycbse8116 yeah, just a relationship that wasn’t so great. it’s really not that deep happened to me too. the swifties made him look like a monster when in reality he’s a good person lol
I'm going through a really bad heartbreak right now and watching you react to Taylor really makes me happy. 💜
Hope you feel better soon 🫶🏻
@@shagundubeycbse8116 Thank you☺
5:21 one thing bout taylor you gotta know is how hard she rolls those 'f's when she swears lmao, that's what makes her lyrics so scream-able ahh
i love, LOVE your taylor swift content 😭
bwahaha he's so real on that adding dishes scene, me too bruh me too
Your REP video is almost at half a million, Congratulations, you deserve it!
fun fact that 3min fight was improvised and taylor decided to keep it
HEY THANKS FOR REACTING SO QUICK! make sure u get some private time as well! us swifties enjoyed ur vid but we will still watch ur vid even if its one day later!
Jaxson, another incredible reaction. You have a special insight into Taylor which we all appreciate. And how can you tell? Just look at 65,000+ of us who support you.❤
Two days later almost 80K. 😅
You’re spoiling us at this point, thank you!!
Damn bro ur uploading schedule going crazy cause i literally JUST finished watching the midnight till dawn edition video 😭😭
This song always gets me crying man. I love how you try to actually understand the lyrics and the story, it makes these reactions so much more enjoyable!
I can’t wait for you react to folklore and TTPD eventually, those albums are unbelievably amazing.
this man is my new addiction. thank you we lov u
no reaction to YOU KEPT ME LIKE A SECRET BUT I KEPT YOU LIKE AN OATH is crazyyy!!!!
It's the longest song to hit #1 on the Billboard top 100. It dethroned America Pie.
here as fast as I can :D soooo excited!!
Great reaction! You understood the message really well. It was fascinating to hear a different perspective on the dialogue scene. Most people only focus on the way he's speaking to her, but you realised the meaning of his actions (with the dishes)
i don't know if someone has already said this but after the few years that its been out, it finally clicked for me that during her like "talk" at the end of the film, she says "all too well" as its sung and the talking segment is her reading the lyrics as shes recapping the book titled "all too well"
Good pick up. To me the writing and reading of the book was an analogy of her writing and performing the song for her fans.
@theresebizabishaka7605 absolutely, thats what i think too, maybe even the sad girl autumn version with her more sombre expressions
12:26 LMAOOOO this is how I always feel watching that hug 😭😭
My third comment here in your channel and I just want to say it again. You deserve EVERY subscriber you have because your reactions are my absolute favourite and I LOVE your personality and how you interpret songs, lyrics, music and the world. Thanks Jaxson☺️🙏🏽
I read the dishes scene was pretty much all improv and it wasn't supposed to be its own scene. Music was supposed to play over it, but they did such a good job creating this scenario that Taylor decided to keep the whole thing in.
Jaxson please keep uploading fr. Like your videos literally make me laugh and man i love watching these between my study breaks.
i was just stalking your page for new videos wtf 😭
I was never a deep fan of hers until this 10 min version dropped. I was blown away, explored everything in her discography and never looked back :)
@wantblack2133 I like listening to her song but sometimes her songs not exactly my thing from a production wise, sometimes.
But I remember listening to "all too well" the 10 minute version for the first time and I was waiting for the primer on RUclips too.
dylan and sadie did so good in this!! im happy ur reacting to it👏🏼👏🏼
i have been sitting here refreshing your page just waiting for a vid to drop
Heyyy, you're literally here with the speed of light bud, really love your videos. I just saw your yt short waiting for "dress". You're awesome 💯💯. Keep going 💪💪
Ps: I'm a die hard swiftie... ✨🎹
I love your reactions so much, its so refreshing to see a guy being so understanding 😭

One piece of the story you're missing is that this song is about Jake Gyllenhaal, and the fact that he's almost 10 years older than Taylor.
14:21 This Guy just gets It❤
All to Well was written by Taylor. She wrote it after her & Jake Gillenhal broke up. She also wrote and directed 10 minute song/short film.
Ur so quick with these bangers
Literally feeding the swifties with these wonderful reactions!!! I went and seen Taylor on the red tour, and it was such a night to remember ❤️this has a lot of Taylor Lore/backstory, but love how you already got soooo many undertones. I highly recommend saving TTOD for the last, and reacting to the others. Love watching you!!!
Are you able to post the reputation stadium tour reaction on RUclips? Or will it get taken down?
