@travisrodgers8578 typically taylor is working on her next record during her world tour of the current album. Ex, Red was written during Speak Now Era. The Weekend appearing on 1989, I think there was a mutual appreciation of the new upcoming sound. A shame taylor had to hide out before releasing what we now know as reputation. November of 2016 The Weekend dropped a very successful album while taylor was away. Who knows what would have happened.
It’s adorable when people who know nothing about Taylor try to wrap their heads around it. Why does it sound good? Why is she trying to rap? Is she trying to be like this and that? It’s honestly cute. Taylor Swift is where she is for a reason. And she’s been at it for a very long time. She’s not an industry plant, she doesn’t have a massive team that creates everything for her. From an old school Rocker & metal head pov. Im open to anything that moves me or has substance these days. To not limit myself to the same old same old box, i gave swift a go. Went thru about 5 of her most popular albums on spotify, and after 3 careful listens to each album (to allow time to get the feel for it), i then added any song that moved me (or had potential to grow on me) to my swift playlist. I deleted more than half the songs on the albums, the ones that didnt have potential (for me). Then over about a year, i slowly deleted even more that were "just ok". After another year ide (attentively) been thru ALL her albums. I deleted alot, but now have a 'Swift Mix' playlist of about 80 awesome songs (to my liking). And i love them. Coming from being (mostly) Rock & Blues, it takes awhile to adjust to the different climate / vibe. But so happy i did. I now understand swifties, and what i was missing out on. It also takes time to collect life memories that these songs become a soundtrack to. Rock & Blues, some metal, Pink Floyd, & fleetwood mac, will still be my fave sound, but the swift stuff that i chose, is right up there with it.

major swiftie here!!! tay writes all her own music, sometimes w the help of a producer or a friend. i just watched one of your sabrina videos and you guys were talking about their teams, but both sabrina and tay only have a few producers per album, usually one or two max per song. a lot of tays songs are written mainly by her with some help of a producer (usually aaron dessner and jack antonoff, who also produces for sabrina) not sure about sabrina, but there aren’t many writers on her songs either. taylor prides herself on being a songwriter first and singer second, and she’s really the best in the game!! next i’d recommend doing bad blood (there’s a version w kendrick on it too that’s fire), another song from rep, or who’s afraid of little old me. new subscriber & im so so excited for more reactions!!
Ignore the "All Too Well" girlies, that is not an intro level song for rap fans. If you like Lana, Snow on the Beach is a duet with Lana. I Did Something Bad hits. Exile with Bon Iver is excellent. Eventually you will deserve Vigilante Shit (the live version is Epic), but not quite yet. It hits harder after you already like some of her music.
I don’t think Taylor “tries” to be anything to anyone. She’s very steady, headstrong and doesn’t take anyone’s shit when it comes to her songs lol ❤hope you guys react to more!
“Music coming out right now…” She released this in 2017 lol. I love that y’all enjoyed it though. Her writing is amazing and yes her producers are insane.
One of her best friends is her producer Jack Antonoff. He co produced 6:16 w Kendrick and Kendrick’s entire new album. Taylor works w Sounwave and has had Sam Dew on her tracks. Also, Kendrick on Bad blood. Check out Engame video next w Futyre & Her really good friend Ed Sheeran. She’s one of our best lyricists.
Taylor is in the studio and coproduces on every single track. And she's the primary writer on absolutely of her music, even when she's co-writing. If the production sounds good, it's because she hands on made decisions in the studio with what the producers were offering.
You’ll never regret exploring Taylor Swift’s music! Just be ready for her signature lyric-heavy songs. I’d recommend starting with her albums from "Red" onward and saving the earlier country tracks for when you’re fully immersed in her work. She’s tackled many genres: country, pop, rap, folk, alternative, and R&B. If you’re interested, I’d love to see your reaction to her Netflix documentary, Miss Americana-it’s a great way to get to know her better.
That was funny. 😂 “We don’t like Taylor. We don’t eff with Taylor.” A minute later…” Why do I wanna bob my head to the beat?” I agree with other comments. React to the live version (from The Reputation Stadium Tour) of “Don’t Blame Me” or The SNL performance of “False God”. The intro and “Ready For It” from the Rep Tour are amazing too. She is amazing live. You’ll be full on Swifties by then and nobody will be able to say anything bad (to you) about Taylor. You won’t want to hear it 😝😂 Enjoy the ride. It’s smooth ✌️💜🤘
ya you should deff go down this rabbit hole ... t swift has A LOT of diff music and her lyrics are unbeatable !! reputation originally came out in 2017. you should check out a couple more from this album like ...ready for it (this has a cool music video), dancing with our hands tied, or don't blame me (the live version of this is insane!!!)
She writes the lyrics and melodies to all her music and has a very clear vision of the sound she's looking for when she works with producers. She is in fact "solo-manning this shit".
Pleaseee react to more of this album. I think you'd really like it, if you are hip hop/synth pop fans. Her live versions are fire as well. Especially, Dress, Don't Blame Me, I did Something Bad, King of My Heart, etc. She wrote this album after her "fued" with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian and having gone dark for a year. This album was a huge shift in comparison to 1989. It was her "Badass" Era and we're all currently chomping at the bit for her recording of this to drop.
My first recommendation for you would be to watch her Making of a Song series (the writing of this album). It will help you understand how much of a machine she is, how hard she works, and how she's involved at every level of her business and career. She mostly works with only 2 producers - Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner. Usually just 2 people in the studio. Lemme tell you, there is a REASON she's as big as she is, and if you decide to go down this path (and you should!) you'll quickly learn why. My other suggestion is LIVE performances from the Reputation Tour - that's where you boys should probably start: Intro/Ready For It, then I Did Something Bad, and then Don't Blame Me. Trust.
I feel like the Reputation album is everyone who "never liked" Taylor's music way into loving it. Its such a vibe and different from what people think the commercial "Taylor" is/was. Recomendation is to almost ALWAYS listen to the songs that weren't radio singles. That's where the real magic is.
Pretty much every single collaborator says the same thing about Taylor: they often wonder why they are even there. She usually comes prepared with a fully-formed song, and the producer(s) just kinda edit and make little suggestions here and there, and help with finding cool sounds and such, but she hears the entire production in her head before they even hit the studio in a lot of cases. Liz Rose, who worked with Taylor when Taylor was as young as 14, has consistently called her a savant. Gotta dump that narrative you have in your head and start fresh. This one is off an album from 2017. Another one from the same album you might like is 'So It Goes'
Reputation is awesome for the vibes, 1989 is what really made her blow up (you prob know some of those songs), and folklore and evermore are where her songwriting/lyrics really show how good she can be
Yea as others have said, you should REALLY dive into the Taylor Swift rabbit hole. She has some absolute masterpieces. My number one rec would be 'All Too Well" (the 10 min version), but that might be a good one to save until you guys get bigger since it will just floor you if you really haven't heard it before. But a ton of her stuff is just a masterpiece in songwriting. If you like lyrics and poetry, which I do (and why I love good rap), you will appreciate her writing. The best compliment I ever heard from a professional poet are that (many of) her songs are 'architecturally perfect' . Also, if you have ever been through emotionally tough break-ups.... just get ready, haha. Coming from a 36 year old dude.
Taylor IS doing it all herself. She usually takes a nearly finished product to her ONE producer, so at most her songs have 2 credits on them. Lana has the same producer, but Taylor was the first person to ever let him so produce an album, his words. They are the only 2 people with credits on this song.
Taylor was signed to her first record label when she was 14 she writes all her own music and she’s very involved with everything. Please react to the intro and ready for it. Live on the reputation tour. Get a chance to look at her doing some live.
Don't know why you kept laughing, but what did you think her music sound like???? Cause the woman has been writing these types of lyrics since forever at this point... None fans would usually ask: "Why she trying to rap????" To us as fans: That's taylor being taylor, oh and also, she made waves waaaay before the weekend came on the scene and she also WRITES from Personal experiences
Y’all ate your words about our girl. LOL. Taylor is very much involved in the production of her music. She writes the lyrics and also works on the production. She writes all of her songs on one instrument and then adjusts it to where the music takes her. She’s extremely creative and talented. She doesn’t just hand it over to others to produce it for her. That’s not her style. She is the first female to become a billionaire by only counting record and ticket sales. She’s at the top so high that she’s about to hit a net worth of $2B from her 3.5 hour each live concert in her Era’s World Tour. That 2 year tour only has 3 shows (out of 152) left in Vancouver. Every concert was sold out and the venue ranged from 50k-97k per night for 3-5 nights in a row. I think she has more to offer than you think. If you stop saying F-TS (FRFR!!) and actually start to appreciate the lyrics, you’ll have a lot of her fans as new subscribers. We certainly don’t expect you to like every song but we do get a bit upset when you disrespect her for no reason. That’s just childish. Kanye started that shit and he’s a jealous jerk who thought he’d break her but she is bigger than ever; he’s peaked as a bipolar guy who isn’t taking his meds properly and thought he was a Nazi in a black face mask. Recommendations: #Eras Tour performance of “Vigilante Shit” Live #2 Music videos: “End Game with Future and Ed Sheeran” & “Bad Blood”. “Bad Blood” has like 20 female celebrity cameo’s (actors, singers, Victoria Secret models) and co-stars Kendrick Lamar. Her music videos are mini-movies; she literally spares no expense. Thanks for trying and vibing. Hope to see more. 🫶🏼😊
Is so funny how people really think she’s in the top by accident 😂 no boys!!!! She’s actually freaking talent… also, this definitely came out prior to the weekend blowing up
yall are so fun!!! i can't wait to watch you come to be full on fans LMAOOO pls post more Taylor reactions! fun fact - Taylor has said before she likes to write songs acoustically first so they can always be stripped down, videos of her writing process are so interesting if you're into the making process!! I'm sure there are other comments already telling you how involved she is in production ;) can't wait to see more!!
It’s hilarious to me when people claim to know music and then have an opinion on an artist while simultaneously admitting they don’t/haven’t listened to their music. If you don’t know just say you don’t know! Also, saying the weekend was a huge influence 😂 boy maybe do some research to see what her influence was.
Please use this one that has the intro to it. ruclips.net/video/2QJaf6qq8jQ/видео.htmlsi=S96P-ANxVp9CbfZq Taylor invited all of the people whose voices are being played in the beginning to the entire sold out stadium. They were in the front row while she called them out. Savage move of her saying F you straight to them. 😂
Why are you laughing at Taylor. There are a lot of black people who like Taylor. Also, Taylor writes all her songs, and it is only her and the producer in the studio.
Some other Taylor songs you might like! Style, Don’t Blame Me, King of My Heart, Lavender Haze, Exile, End Game. Her catalog spans almost every genre you can think of.
I think you guys would also like “Labyrinth”, “Maroon”, “Lavender Haze”, “The Great War” “Snow On The Beach Feat Lana Del Rey” from Midnight album. Also “False God”, & “All Of The Girls You Loved Before”, “Afterglow” from Lover Album
this one is good.. but there are sooooo many more. Having Tay on your channel with boost your numbers! She has done so much with such genre variety it's OK to enjoy some but not everything. if you this song surprised you in a good way, I would recommend the songs "midnight rain" and "ready for it".
Thank you for reacting to this deep-cut Taylor song. Glad that you enjoyed it. If you are respectful of Taylor, her fans will support you and give you a chance. There is no up side to being condescending to Taylor or to her fans. The people that you would be trying to impress with a negative attitude probably won't be watching anyway. Taylor has 18 years of music and videos from many genres. There is a reason Taylor's selling out stadiums around the world and has won Album Of The Year 4 times at the Grammy Awards as part of her 14 total. "Bad Blood" video featuring Kendrick Lamar is one that you will probably like. It's about 10 years old.

Aww this was a cool reaction. Love that you guys were both open about your view and open minded. Dress was a release from her 2017 album reputation, of which there are several songs music videos and live tour performances that show Taylor in a very different light from most pre conceptions. @@kindredanastasia somehow I don't
Think all too well is gong to grab them just yet lol I think we start with reputation first
I’d say lavender haze has similar vibes, false god is a good one too
I don’t think Taylor “tries” to be anything to anyone.
Yall should react to “I don’t wanna live forever” by her and Zayn it’s the same kinda vibe but better imo
OMG YES ABSOLUTELY
one of my favorites
Lots of people in the comments don’t know the weekend dropped like 3-4 albums before reputation came out
😭😂”f*ck taylor swift” to the dancing got me so hard. now go listen to maroon rn lmaooo
There's a lot more where that came from!! Welcome to the Swift side!
Yeah they have no idea what's coming 🤣🤣🤣
They're done now!!! 😅
We love a change of perspective. Hopefully you’ll look more into her
It was written in 2016-2017
One of her best friends is her producer Jack Antonoff.
Taylor is the mfing truth and we need more
If you thought this was rapping, please listen to 'endgame' next. It features Ed Sheeran and Future too!
Taylor is in the studio and coproduces on every single track.
And she's the primary writer on absolutely of her music, even when she's co-writing.
If the production sounds good, it's because she hands on made decisions in the studio with what the producers were offering.
She’s heavily involved in the production too
You’ll never regret exploring Taylor Swift’s music!
THIS IS SO GOOD
That was funny. 😂
“We don’t like Taylor. We don’t eff with Taylor.”
A minute later…” Why do I wanna bob my head to the beat?”
I agree with other comments.
I laughed the whole video,I love when people discover that Taylor Swift is so much more than "Shake it off "😂
bro in green is not a good hater 😂😂
Frrr
swifties in the making
Taylor swift is the music industry 18 years of genius
ya you should deff go down this rabbit hole ... t swift has A LOT of diff music and her lyrics are unbeatable !!
reputation originally came out in 2017. you should check out a couple more from this album like ...ready for it (this has a cool music video), dancing with our hands tied, or don't blame me (the live version of this is insane!!!)
Taylor is a savant song writer and has been since she was 11.
4:18 i alr knew this is gonna be my fav part watching this and yalls reaction 💯
I’m black been around since she was country👏🏽
Coming from a 36 year old dude.
saying fuck t swift is a bold take if you dont know her music, thx for trying tho
Recommendations:
#Eras Tour performance of “Vigilante Shit” Live
#2 Music videos: “End Game with Future and Ed Sheeran” & “Bad Blood”.
You need to listen to more songs off of this album. In my opinion, this is one of her best albums.
Bro how hard you hit that blunt before the track? Gotta respect that track, shows we can’t judge a book aye my bros
Here's a music video for her song Ready For It from the same Reputation album: ruclips.net/video/wIft-t-MQuE/видео.htmlsi=aMVkF7oy38v7oqtA
Please use this one that has the intro to it. ruclips.net/video/2QJaf6qq8jQ/видео.htmlsi=S96P-ANxVp9CbfZq
Taylor invited all of the people whose voices are being played in the beginning to the entire sold out stadium. They were in the front row while she called them out. Savage move of her saying F you straight to them. 😂
Subbed for more Taylor but you gotta put respect on your words she is the music industry she deserves it ❤
Definitely more Taylor queued up! We were not familiar with her game.
Why are you laughing at Taylor. There are a lot of black people who like Taylor. Also, Taylor writes all her songs, and it is only her and the producer in the studio.
Google T-Swizzle with T-Pain from when she was younger!
So good! 😅
Yes! Love her sense of humor and she was so young!
Thank you for going into this with an open mind :,)
Suggestions? Oh where do we start! Actually that depends on you, she has something for everyone tbh
this one is good.. but there are sooooo many more. Having Tay on your channel with boost your numbers! She has done so much with such genre variety it's OK to enjoy some but not everything. if you this song surprised you in a good way, I would recommend the songs "midnight rain" and "ready for it".
welcome to taylor!! hahaha hope to see more, I recommend Ready for It, not the video, just the song so you focus on the song itself:)) subscribing!
Oh Lordy you two are perched on the edge of the Swift cliff and just need to be nudged a lil bit. 😆 See ya on the other side.
No lie this video was so satisfying, yall were jamming out😂😂😂
Thank you for reacting to this deep-cut Taylor song.
Well said!
I’ve subscribed in hopes you’ll do more Taylor 🫶 pleeease, this reaction was so sweet. There’s so much variation in her music… basically just pick songs at random and the Swifties will help you along the way ☺️
“ I don’t eff with Taylor swift, eff Taylor swift….also, I like to keep an open mind”
Make it make sense please.
I mean the hundreds of millions of fans she has over a 18 year career must all be complete dorks with no taste in music at all right?!
Surely, you guys must have the coolest and best taste in music, even before hearing it.
God, wish I could be as cool and cocky as you guys.
Taylor is so talented love her or hate her anything she touches this gold that’s the reality. She has a damn good voice. I am Billie Eilish.❤
thank you billie eilish
I can't wait to see this channel in 3 months and you two are wearing friendship bracelets and full Swifties 😉
Same!
This song is from 2017! Not current but definitely a fan favorite. If you want to hear a song from her that is much closer to rap, listen to …Ready for it?
For the full effect listen to the Intro/…Ready for It? Live from Reputation Tour.
‘If the weekend and Lana Del Rey had a baby’ is a great description of the entire reputation album honestly 😂
Found y’all through this reaction and subscribed! Appreciate your openness to different kinds of music and went back to watch your Kendrick reaction and metal reactions.
You two are fun and have good chemistry! Would love to see you react to Ren - Genesis, Murderer, Hi Ren. Also, Taylor has songs with Kendrick and Future you might want to check out. 😊
Wow we super appreciate this comment. Thank you. We will add this shit to the list
You guys would really love when she did this song live in her Reputation Stadium Tour. I hope you watch it. ❤
Definitely need to watch. Reputation Stadium Tour 🔥 Songs: Are you ready for it, Vigilante Shit, Don’t Blame me!!!
I love this. I’m following to keep up with your journey
she's rapping 100%, and there's more of it in this album
Ok now that we’re here.. READY FOR IT NEXT!!!!
Aww this was a cool reaction. Love that you guys were both open about your view and open minded. Dress was a release from her 2017 album reputation, of which there are several songs music videos and live tour performances that show Taylor in a very different light from most pre conceptions. Lyrics and song writing are her passion having been hired as a song writer by Sony music publishing aged 14!
Songs to check out are Intro and Ready for it, live on the rep tour, it also has a music video.
I did something bad, live Rep tour
and Don't blame me live Rep tour.
Also her collaboration with Future and Ed Sheeran on the End Game Music Video.
Watch some of her production videos. She does most of her own work.
This is what I want to see!
