Just sold my stage 2 M140i with OS Giken LSD and 300cell downpipe. To be honest, a RWD m140i with any tune (600NM+ torque) is sometimes a bit scary to drive, especially on winter tires or cold tires.
What a coincidence! I just sold my M140i to a Dutch company and it got picked up from them today. After coming home from the gym and going on RUclips, I see this video :D
Man I wish mods for G31 5 Series were more common. There are a few exhausts for it, but you always need to have to M Sport Paket rear bumper, but my Luxury Line 540i is left out :c
What it does is, make sure both wheels can get the power delivered from the axle, with open diff the car brings power to the least resistance, so once a wheel slips, it gets all the power (1 wheel burnout) and the wheel without slip does not get any power. That causes the car to not speed up while it does spin 1 wheel. With LSD it uses clutches to limit the slip on the wheel and deliver power to it. It makes the car propel itself forward instead even if you do a burnout. Also, because of that mechanic, LSD makes you hold a drift while the eLSD turns into open diff on bmw. I hope I explained it well enough!
I own an M140 Pre-OFP (2018). is this backbox EU-compliant (with paper as proof etc)? Here in Belgium, they are really annoying. if so, I could be interested :-)
Could it be possible, that the oem carbon fiber propeller shaft of the m3/m4 is working on your m140i? I have it on my M4 Comp and it looks exactly the same, even the size and the teeth on the differential, i have the same differential on the m4 too i think. I replaced the steel shaft with the carbon shaft on my non opf 2018 m4 comp. Maybe you can have it in mind as a mod. :)
I had one with stage 2 MHD and it got like 11l with hard acceleration driving aswell as cruising 50/50 Can get as low as 7-8 l if u can handle yourself
8:00 lol first upgrade on these cars is tyres not the LSD... 90% of the problems with this car can be solved at 20% of the cost of the LSD upgrade. Also exhaust sound in these cars is awful no matter what you do, far better off with a modified intake and enjoying that.

still have my m140i shadow edition since 2019, its solid no problems at all.

Honestly If your in a straight line both tyres light up. Only corner exits or sharp turns the inside lights up.
