I built the first twin turbo gtr in 2001. Ultima delivered a full rolling chassis with some mods needed for road racing. I worked 10hrs/day 6 days a week. Still took a year and had to design and fabricate every last bit and piece including headers and intercooler plumbing. Made 1450hp at the rear wheels. Raced until 2006.
You did indeed! My wife’s new-to-her 2015 911 Carrera 4S. 😍 I’ll do a review vid on it soon; contemplated introducing it on this latest vid but decided to keep it focused on the Ultima. 👍

That V10 sounds unreal Dan, well done 👏🏼 Hope the putty I recommended manage to seal the radiator even if it was a temporary fix. Hope the gearbox board arrives soon 🙏🏼
Thanks Murray--yes, the patch fix in the radiator is holding up great! I may just leave it for now until I get all the other bugs ironed out with the car first.

Sounds awesome. Like the very early red Audi quattro UR in the background- guess about 82/83 by the wheels and 4 square individual lights… I had one of the very first Mars red UR’s in the UK on a X plate so 81… looked very similar… can you show us a bit on this next time 😍👍

Hope you don't have to wait long for the board. I wish the sound carried over to speaker output. Bet it's crazy in person. Did you ever sort the rear clam cutouts after the first attempt? I don't remember an update on that. Prob missed it though, or forgot as that episode was a while back
It is absolutely nuts in person. You can feel the sound in your chest--it's wicked. I haven't yet finished the necessary 'trimming' on the rear clam to get it to close; so you haven't missed it. Once I get the car back on home turf, that's one of the first things I'm going to tackle.
Doing great. There’s a video of an absolute tool who stole an R8 destroying it on a joy ride around the suburbs of Sydney Australia I think. The transmission and stability control was doing it’s absolute best to keep the moron going even after he just about totalled the vehicle running over curbs etc. The reason I bring this up is that you will need to be very careful with the transmission control system and all the inputs making no mistakes like with the ECU or you may unintentionally turn into a classic BMW or Mustang driver or look like that tool who destroyed the Audi . And getting the transmission out of nursemaid or idiot mode may be impossible.
Good to know! I managed to preserve all of the OEM engine and transmission ECUs so I *think* we’ll be good to go. But I’m sure we’ll run into some other “bugs” to overcome before it’s 100%. One step closer every day. Oh and I just got word I’ll be receiving the new mech board on Wednesday next week. So it won’t be long before we have answers! 👍
