We have tried multiple ways to seal. We used duct tape on our most successful ones. Sealing the edge is the most important thing because the bulgarian bags will take serious abuse throughout their life when using for wrestling workouts. Hopefully that helps!

A design defect that has multiple easier options for enclosures. Velcro flaps, like normal bags, for instance. What a PITA

Any sand will work. I buy sand from homedepot in 50 pound bags.
