I live in NC and we go down to the coast every year and if you want to catch a lot of fish get you some fresh shrimp and put it on a high low rig with some med size hooks and you will catch a lot. Also if you want to have some good fishing go to a pier and stay out all night and use your shrimp. Keep up the good work man your vids are always a “high adventure”😁

@@HighAdventureVideos I've always been told by some buddy's that we wernt allowed to here in , ontairio 🇨🇦 but I actually looked it up an we can for bait fish no larger then 6 inches or something like that 🙎♀️🤦♀️ Maybe they thought I wanted to catch big fish with it lol 🤷♀️ Looks like I am getting my kids an I a cast net or two ! , finally get to see how really tricky they can be :p , Cant wait for your next upload ! Take my advice with a grain of salt as I'm not the best with a cast net. The way you hold it to begin with is key. Check out the catfish and carp video on how to throw it, helped me a ton. I am learning too that throwing it higher allows the net more time to open up before it hits the water.
Throwing lower is better being that the fish have less time seeing the net comming towards them. When you throw it higher the fish will see it comming a mile away
The bait that you got in the beginning and you threw it back,it’s called a pin fish.they are one of the best baits for any fish,not only sharks,you can catch anything with them,their just as good as mullet

I.live in Texas and have to travel almost 2 hours to get to a river or lake or the ocean to fish! When you cook your fish my mouth waters! You are excellent at it! It's call a bridge net we use them in NYC to get the blue fish strip bass and fluke flounder etc. You can cook it on the half shell scales and all bro

Hey.. try using dried coconut jelly .. as bait in your traps .. I use it in my country and .. fish love it .. in 4 hours my trap be filled.
Blackened is the best way to cook redfish and fried is delicious also
Try using 65lb braid to a 20 to 30lb mono leader. I had the same problem breaking off and a local guy showed me this. Just use a good heavy duty swivel to connect them.

Your close but it looks like a surf perch, they're also barred surf perch too. You can catch them on the beach while fishing the surf they like eating all those sandcrabs.

I will attest that it's really tough to pancake a castnet if you haven't done it regularly, let alone trying to pitch it from a kayak.
Best way to think bout a cast net, just throw it like a frisbee. You can hold it all kinds of different ways but nevertheless
