Chloe’s mom is toxic and has been since the beginning. Chloe’s mom doesn’t like Todd because of his son and that’s not right. As Ava grows up and sees this hopefully she doesn’t grow a hatred towards Chloe and her grandmother because of their not wanting Todd to have a relationship with her. He is her grandfather.

She certainly should've been ashamed when she saw herself treating another inexperienced child that way. And her husband was soo weak and pathetic, going along with every excuse she justified herself with.
I also feel really bad for Todd. He's just trying his best as a grandfather. My daughter is 13 and her dad has never been in her life. But u better believe her grampy is there every minute. God bless him for being a positive male influence 🙏 🙌

Tbh I haven’t seen a lot of this show, only clips but it almost feels like he was pushed into this very bad place. Chloe got pregnant, he’s excited and ready to step up, her family tries pushing him out of the baby’s life and Chloe allows it… I’ve seen some people turn to drugs because they have whatever taken from them (daughter in this case). I get that it’s not an excuse however the way they tried to push him away from his baby made no fucking sense. It doesn’t seem like he had this drug issue before

Yes exactly! And the worst part is she’s in denial about his addiction (good thing she’s not an addict cause she would die because of denial) and kept telling him not to go to rehab,counseling ..ect saying he’s not an addict and angry with him..and her parents are so fricken controlling!! This poor kid didn’t stand a chance😞 and it’s sad cause the BABY is the one suffering.and maxs mom died from drug addiction..and her family won’t even let his dad..the grandfather see the baby..she thinks she’s making 5he right choices but when that little girl turns 16 or older she’s going to resent her mom for keeping her dad from her and LYING on max to keep him from the baby.I haven’t gotten far enough to see y he ended up doing jail time ..cause I’m at point he’s in rehab..

if you watch her youtube channel you get more insight into why she wants to keep Ava from her father. He was physically abusive to her but then eventually hit ava and did drugs in front of her i believe. They actually had a court case because of that. Chloe tried so hard to make things work but until he gets better he’s not a positive influence on his daughter. However, i feel bad for max’s dad.

gabrielgalaxygh I literally said I feel bad for Max’s dad who is the grandpa....but yes i do feel bad that Max’s side of the family is suffering because he can’t get it together. With time they’ll work it out but who knows maybe after everything happened they needed space we don’t know what goes on behind closed doors

Chloe and her mother are going to have a lot of answering to do when Ava grows up and sees how they treated Todd. They didn't try to hide their blatant disregard for Max's family on tv. Why Chloe's mother feels any more entitled to being in Ava's life than Todd is beyond me I completely understand not allowing Max to have unsupervised visits but not his father.

I don't think that any side is completely right, but I wrote my comment based on the fact that Chloe's mom made up her mind on max right on the first day (she turned out to be kinda right about him but this could've been avoided). max's drug problems probably got worse when he couldn't see his daughter. again, it's not completely on person's fault - it was a joint effort

Okay so I finally watched this show out of boredom. This relationship had me all over the place. I understand why she wanted to stay with her babies daddy and the importance of it. I also am wondering why the mom was so against it, it caused so much pressure on the father, I see why he went straight to drugs. That type of pressure on one person is enough on top of having a baby. I guess the mom is using her "judgemental past" and wanting her daughter to experience the same thing.
I am so glad she moved out of her mom's house, but...chloe was so SHELTERED!!! as I grew up my parents not only taught me what drugs can do to you, but the realities of life. Chloe didn't think her boyfriend needed rehab when he clearly did and that his "drug problem" wasn't that "bad." A drug problem is a drug problem whether you do it once or a million times. Her parents were trying to protect her, but they didn't really tell her why. They "vaguely" went around it as some form of protection. But , really? Why? She opened her legs, she now has to learn the realities of life, no more l having her the truth.
I am so happy she is continuing her schooling and she is settling up daycare, a job. She is a very responsible person. But.... Her mom should have treated the father tons better in the beginning.

sorry if I am late on the drama, but... This relationship just had me wondering why the mom didn't push both her daughter and the baby's father in relationship counseling and raising a baby together classes, instead of forcing her daughter to do it on her own. Probably out of jealousy
Thank you someone the saw this situation for what it was ! Because Jessica has pushed max out from the very start. At the end of the day they BOTH laid down and had Ava, they seemed to blame him for blemishing her life when nobody is innocent here. I can also see why he turned to drugs, not completely blaming Jessica but she is extremely suffocating. She never supported or even acted like she cared for max at all.

Her family should have been thankful a young man wanted to be that involved. Nobody has considered this girl an her horrid mother would not be easy to deal with . Just my opinion after watching the show.
I understand why people are pushing for Chloe to let Ava see her grandfather, but if I were her I would be concerned that he would enable Max to be around Ava which would be potentially unsafe. Supervised visits would be the way to go at least initially in my opinion.
His dad pushes for him to get clean and do go it seems like. I think if they told him he lets Max see Ava unsupervised or at all he Wouldn’t be allowed to see her unsupervised and held to that boundary it would work. Especially being he told Max “you can’t have drugs and kids” as that doesn’t sound like enabling. He’s filing for grandparents rights and most likely will get it unsupervised as long as Max isn’t around. I think Chloe’s mom is pushing to keep him out instead of what’s best for Ava and Chile’s just following what her mom wants

Chole’s mom is controlling, bitter, unfair, rude. She never gave max a chance from day 1. She even here above was speaking for chole, telling CHOLE how CHOLE feels. Let chole say what she feels. Being a good mom, you may just know, cuz of how well you know your kid. But out of respect she still needs to let chole speak and think. When she’s not speaking for her or choles stepdad, she is planting lil seeds to influence everyone into doing what she wants. Even at beginning she didn’t want max around. Maybe max leaned more on drugs, when choles mom coulda stepped up and said max I know you don’t have a mom and with the situation we’re in I feel maybe I could help fill that roll just a little bit. You’re the father of my daughters baby for life and I’m going to make sure you know no matter what now that makes you family maybe Max maybe just wanted a family thought he was getting one, then told
Things like why do you want to stay the night, why would you come to the baby shower. Yea I agree teenagers staying the night leads to sex, which leads to pregnancy. Buttttt since chole is already pregnant, it’s a lil too late for that lol. Max wanted to be involved. Maybe the shut down, on top of the stress and depression, the missing mother roll on top of the often common of many addicts depression. Only pushed max deeper when he realized he couldn’t win for losing. And the one woman who coulda maybe helped play the mom role for max. Not only didn’t, but had the audacity to make him feel dumb, unwanted and not liked every chance she got. Hell even her husband only got 2-3 words in ever, bc he like chole is just used to having Jessica (Choles mom) talk for them both as well as tell them how to feel and ect.
Again I get wanting different for your kids. I get being protective. I get not wanting the same struggles she faced as a teen mom. But max isn’t and wasn’t the man that dipped out on Jessica. Not saying that statically it wasnt doomed from
The start. But to not even give it a chance to work and to even seem to want it not to work just to be right, is not only
Cruel but insane. Maybe help save another young person (Max) whose success would only help better your kid and grandkids life. andddd maybe save Max (a kid at the time himself) too. Addition is hard. It’s not easy an all you see is the drugs being the only thing that matters . It’s not that they don’t love you. It’s that they are so focused on the drug that they don’t see anything else
I wonder when Maxs addiction started. Was it before Chloe’s family shamed him and psychologically abused him 24/7? I became a single mom at 21 and my family put me down constantly, shamed me, underestimated me before I could even try (very similar to Chloe’s moms behavior) I had chronic depression, I couldn’t bear the disencouragment and felt like everyone was praying on my down fall. We’re all in this together, and should be helping each other not putting each other down bc one way or another if all affects Ava’s life (baby’s life)

In my 28 years of life I’ve seen people turn to addiction to feel numb to things! Max could’ve turned to drugs for multiple reasons, his mom being gone, being treated how he was treated by her parents you literally seen a decline the hole season even when he did good and wanted to be there it was still wrong!! Me and my husband watched this whole thing unfold and was disgusted with her mom and thinking no one else is right or has value to an option but her! Keeping Ava away from Todd makes me cringe she’s so narcissistic I swear.

Cant help but feel that them not allowing him to see his son and the stress of Chloes parents putting him down all the time (the way they have in a million other clips) likely was partially responsible for the relapse. Yes its his addiction, but hes a teenager, hes practically still a baby himself, hes stressed out by the arrival of this baby and becoming a father and being constantly shit on and pushed out when he knows already what its like to grow up with only one parent and wants to protect his child from that. Honestly if I were him I could understand just feeling like.. fuck it nothing will ever be good enough for them, they will always use my kid as a ploy, basically labeling theory tells us that if we label people they may actually live up to those labels, especially with regards to young people. Addiction is an illness, i understand asking him to move out, and not wanting him around the baby when high or on his own. But anything more than that is them continuing to abuse Max and in turn, abusing Ava by withholding her from half of her family.
Exactly, so many people seem to look at these children, because they ARE still children as adults. I felt pain for you when you showed the picture of when he cut her hair ... I really felt scared for Ava, I helped raise my nieces and I am from a large Greek and Spanish family ... and I thought how I would feel if Ava was my niece, and to be honest, I would have paid him a visit personally, and growing up in Cartagena Colombia, my Dad had the best saying... I know a guy!!!

Addiction is an illness, you can't "just stop". Your mind may say "ok no more", but your body and your entire nervous system will drive you insane until you get that next fix, withdrawal is a bitch, sweating, shaking, puking, insomnia, lack of appetite, and so much more. You clearly have never had to deal with a family member who is addicted to drugs, and I hope for your sake you never have to deal with that. I honestly feel bad for Max in certain ways, the whole situation is just too much for him, and her family shunning him and his father at the child's baptism certainly did NOT help.
Okay so both mother and daughter have so much growing up to do. You would think the mother would be the voice of reason guess not when your busy trying to still be a young little girl about stuff. Max has to want to get better and be a man. I'm a recovering addict and I tell you what my kids saved my life. I couldnt hurt them like that they need parents. Chloe is doing her best but they need to let her see her granddad

I feel like they pushed him to that way into it seemed like he wanted to change so bad but her family was soooo mean to him and he looked at them as FAMILY cause he wasn’t close to his . Her mom was so stuck up her ass about any opinion Chloe had about her baby and I think it was because she hated the fact max wanted to be in the baby life unlike hers .so sorry Chloe went through abuse and overall hope max get better for the sake of their daughter and the best for chole and Ava
On Max’s RUclips channel, he was answering questions from fans and the one person said “do you know that Chloe is pregnant?”. I believe if it was true then she would mention about it but to be honest, I don’t think she is.
