George Benson and Herbie Hancock are amazing! Me and a buddy of mine actually had a chance to chill with George Benson in his town! Recently on my birthday week we are good friends! Him and my dad grew up together! Very down-to-earth good dude!

it's Terri Lyne Carrington on drums. what i find refreshing is to see george benson BACK TO REAL JAZZ. the singing career should be over and jazz guitar back in the spotlight. ...hifitommy
+Thomas Roy you're the one that's crazy and obviously ignorant. Many esteemed Benson as a virtuoso and one if not the greatest jazz guitarist ever. That includes many of his peers from his pre-pop jazz days. I defer to their opinion above yours as yours means ZERO.
@@stevenc4693 You know zero about jazz if you think Benson's guitar playing is nothing special. You're a typical non musician speaking out of his ass. ruclips.net/video/dkwvXK7bJqc/видео.html
Man, Benson is my favorite guitarist but he was off on this one. He never seem able to get his chops going. I wonder if that was his guitar because he does not wear his strap that way.
He looks very unwell here :( I got quite worried seeing this video a while back. Recent videos of him though show him in much better health with the playing back at the top as well.
it's just not Benson's thing to play so many changes WITH a band. he's primarily a solo artist where he can choose whatever subs he wants. he's better in a jazz blues scenario with a full group. GREAT player but fish out of water. they're all great
Herbie’s solo is incredible.
Herbie's solo is turning big George on fire 🤣!
Terri Lyne Carrington was kill'n on the drums.. Herbie Hancock was outrageous.. great band !
Herbie and George benson should do an album together ASAP !!
They did!

They did a few. A lot of Freddie Hubbard stuff has both of them, like Red Clay
Herbie! The entire band was stunned!!
That was a truly memorable performance from a pretty amazing evening!
From his first note George has you hooked.
La cara del contrabajista en el solo de Hancock es maravillosa.
Both HH and G B are out of the planet, i don't have words

Never heard a single word of "shit" about George,... and I'm sure I never will.
herbie never loses his touch and george ain't so bad either
I guess it is quite randomly asking but do anyone know of a good website to stream newly released tv shows online?

@Rex Gage Thank you, I signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it !!
@Ian Aryan Glad I could help :D
My God it's refreshing to see a woman behind that drum kit. Great player!
Se doesn't matter im Jazz. Plus, it's the great Terri Lyne Carrington. No quotas needed.
H.J.W she is badass
Happy 75th Birthday Herbie
Very, Very good ...

Absolutely! Мiles just loved those blues
Sweet!
Terry Lynn is up there with them...
Herbie misses some hits but he's so cool and expressive. Thank you, Herbie!!
1:30 herbie solo
Why jump to Herbie Hancock’s solo when George Benson takes the first solo?
herbie hancock is not a normal!!! :o :o :o
dzurdzuketi He's definitely a freak
Herbie is an unholy man beast!
Hahahahah... One of the few gods of Music.
ai é sacanazzzz!!!
Terry Lyne Carrington, Berkley- Boston..........
Herbie....or how to improvise in all keys with class, swing ,. Yes...watta solo
1:55 Herbie left George so far behind he didn't even know what notes to play to accompany him.
Good grief!! THAT PIANO SOLO.... 😦
Yep!! Unbelievable!! mindblowing! Herbie is so tasty.. always takes the music to another dimension with his well chosen harmonic layers.

+Thomas Roy your crazy, he is a wondurful composer/singer, but when it comes to jazz, he is ok, but nothing special.
+steven c I much prefer George Benson's jazz side myself.

@@stevenc4693 you clearly have never listened to George Benson playing jazz for you to say something so absurd sir!

James Wilkie Good to know he's been seen doing better.

no not really he is at home with any group setting who knows what the dynamics were
HOF.
G Benson was a legend in jazz guitar, but here he seem lost n lack of idea of how to create nice solo...
Great lineup, but Benson seems tired and out of his element here. :(
This is Bensons element he just knows he doesn't have always play, the guy can comp with the best of them.
He’s not out of his element, he’s getting old, his chops have faded. It’s normal.
I love Benson, I love Herbie but this is nothing. It starts with a head thats way of the beat, solo are uninspired, typical all star session.
Clearly Herbie has done way less coke than George. The trumpet player has a lesbian haircut. I could see sharing a lemonade with Antonio.
