His “relationship” with nurse bendy is made all the worse because his wife loves him, she obviously craves sex and wants him and him alone, and on top of that is arguably more attractive than bendy. In my head this means to me that he’s not attracted to bendy but instead the thrill of adultery
Also the fact that Bendy is pretty much universally desired by the men in town, the fact that he’s sleeping with her is an ego boost. She’s literally a trophy to him
I really like this approach to Moral Orel stuff. It doesn't seem like most of the people who talk about this show are Christians, so you have a semi-unique perspective on it. I hope this comes back in future CQs and episode analysis videos.
I'm more than willing to wait for a ms censordoll episode. For the demon of moralton needs a deeper dive. Since I suspect she's an avatar or simulacrum of Lilith. Belial just happened to latch on clay, censordoll plays an active role in the damnation of moralton.
11:11 - 12:09 THANKS TREVOR!!! It really means a lot to me as well! For context I was having a really bad day as well but seeing you not only acknowledging my fan art, but you saying that it cheered up your day brightened up my day as well! Once again thank you! I appreciate it very much!
I feel like Fakey is a *slightly* better antagonist than Clay. Mainly because, as far as I recall, Fakey doesn't have a backstory. Or, at least, not a sympathetic backstory. The reason I like this is because, when you have characters as awful as Clay or Fakey, I prefer it when they imply that there is no reason as to why they do what they do or think what they think. A lot of villains today have sympathetic backstories that feel the need to explain their actions. But I like it when a really bad villain isn't the product of some poor home life. They're just horrible because they *can*. That's why I at least like the idea of Fakey over Clay. Clay's backstory implies he's narcissism is the result of his mother's constant coddling, which implies it's not entirely his fault or that he wasn't born a bad person. But with Fakey, his lack of a backstory implies he's just an awful person. And I like that an awful person can just be an awful person without anything getting too complicated.
I love that you used the West Boro Baptist Church as an Example because the Documentary Keith Allen will burn in Hell (which I highly recommend) showed that atleast one of their Leaders had an illegitimate Child
I gotta say, the Evangelical mindset is kind of fascinating to me as somebody who's an atheist but from a loosely Quaker background. Largely, Quaker communities tend to be pretty horizontally organized and care about orthopraxy a bit more than orthodoxy compared to more hierarchical "mainstream" American protestants (which probably explains why so many American Christian anarchists have been Quakers tbh) and so there's a lot less of a systemic incentive to support and excuse the kind of self-aggrandizing, power-seeking behavior that seems to pervade the evangelical strains of Christianity in the US, especially the more conservative ones. The hardcore individualist, capitalist ethos of personal profit and power that underpins American Evangelical Christianity really encourages the kind of behavior, even and especially the sinful behavior, that people like Principal Fakey exemplify. I don't think it was coincidental that the move away from community and interconnectedness and toward repressive atomization that arguably happened with the fundamentalist-modernist split in the early 1900s happened at the same time as America's first Red Scare, and got more severe with the second Red Scare. American Evangelicalism really does seem to me to be in part an outgrowth of broader reactionary backlash against nascent left-wing organizing and was and still is used as a tool to inure a lot of communities against progressive ideas and doctrines that were introduced into the American Christian space by movements like the Social Gospel. Anyway I'm rambling but the TL;DR is that the specific mix of far-right politics and religious fundamentalism found in 20th-Century America really has done terrible things to Christianity and broken a lot of Christians' perceptions of what their faith ought to be like.
How are you making a principal fakie video when you haven't even made a Miss sensor doll video that's one of your most requested videos ever how dare you
When it comes to Fakey and the other folks of Moralton, they also embody the "infallible forgiveness" belief that a lot of American Christians have. This is the belief the acceptance of Jesus wipes away any and all sin from a person including future ones. If a person outside of their little bubble do something like briefly cheat on their spouse, then they are a sinner and condemned to hell via the express lane. However if someone within the bubble cheats on their spouse, then it's no big deal since they have Jesus in their hearts and are already forgiven.

I am a firm believer Joe would’ve kicked Fakey’s ass if the show let on
Fakey is a very interesting and complex guy. The way he was written was exactly as you described, “he’s there for a paycheck.”
You know you've got a good show when you can talk about a lot of its characters in depth.
Not to Mention; “FULL DETAIL”.
With guys like Principal Fakey, no wonder Nurse Bendy thinks guys only for the "nasty" stuff they do to her

Saberspark also has some good takes. He was raised Christian and deliberately avoided the show for years, only watching it a few months ago.

Here’s some character suggestions for future videos:
1. Nurse bendy
2. Doughy
3. Ms Sculptham
4. Dr Potterswheel
5. Sal Figurelli
The way Principal Fakey treated his wife and Nurse Bendy boils my blood.
